We ask the following questions to AMG's Will Shick and Will Pagani: What Marvel storyline / crossover would you want to write or see if you could? Angela was given an automatic pursuit trigger, whereas 2099 retained his. Speaking to triggers specifically, how do you come to conclusions design wise on how much variance is too much variance? Omega Red was given a Medium Move, whereas Venom is still a slug. What factors influenced the "glow up" of some characters, and the omission of others? With annual crisis rotations, what are some design hurdles to both updating characters, and creating new ones when you aren't always sure if the issue is with a character or a crisis combination. Example, Nova was unplayed for almost a year after his release, but the new crisis changes paired with a more favorable meta has made him much more viable. To balance the game you increased the stamina of many of the game's characters. What issues were you trying to address with this sweeping change? Was there anything else being considered? One huge winner of the update has been Emma Frost, she has notably jumped in power level with the extra Stamina. Angela is proving to be a terror on the board backed by Doomed Prophecy. Is there a character post-update who's "tier jump" surprised you? Is there anyone you think who is being slept on in this early expiration? If you were going to a tournament tomorrow what affiliation would you play?

What Really Happens Inside an Authentic Men's Group? For many men, the hardest part of joining a men's group may be simply not knowing what to expect. What actually happens in a meeting? Is it therapy? Am I going to be pressured to talk about things I'm not ready to share? Do I need to be struggling or going through a crisis? What if talking about emotions doesn't come naturally to me? Those are legitimate questions. In this episode of the Authentic Men's Group Podcast, we decided not to answer them only from the perspective of AMG coaches. Instead, we invited men who currently participate in AMG to talk openly about their own experiences. This isn't a collection of polished testimonials. It's a conversation about what these men expected before joining, what made them nervous, what surprised them, what challenged them, and what they have found valuable along the way. Starting Can Be the Hardest Part Walking into a group of men you don't know and being asked to be authentic can feel uncomfortable. Before their first meeting, men may wonder: Will I fit in? Will I be judged? Am I going to have to share something personal? Are my struggles even serious enough to be here? In the episode, we explore what it was actually like for current members to take that first step. We talk about what was happening in their lives when they considered AMG, the skepticism or uncertainty they carried into their first meeting, and the moments that began changing their perception of what a men's group could be. Some men may talk immediately. Others may spend more time listening. There is no single "right" way to begin. So, What Actually Happens in an AMG Meeting? One of the most common questions we hear is simple: "What do you guys actually do in there?" In this conversation, members help answer that question by describing a typical AMG meeting from their perspective. We discuss the SPIES check-in, how conversations are structured, the role of the coach, and what makes an AMG conversation different from the conversations many of us normally have with friends. And yes—there can be humor, ordinary conversation, and laughter. AMG isn't about sitting in a room complaining about life. It isn't a networking group, and the goal isn't for men to constantly give one another advice. It also isn't a place where everyone has to think, believe, or experience life the same way. The goal is to create an environment where we can understand ourselves better, build healthier relationships, and become more intentional about how we're living. You Don't Have to Wait Until Something Falls Apart Another misconception is that a men's group is only for men who are struggling. You don't need to wait until your marriage is in trouble, your career feels empty, or some other part of life reaches a breaking point before becoming more intentional about understanding yourself. A man can be successful, have healthy relationships, and have a good life—and still recognize that there are parts of himself he wants to better understand. Sometimes the best time to develop these skills is before we desperately need them. Vulnerability Doesn't Mean Telling Everyone Everything For many men, the word vulnerability itself creates resistance. It can sound like being expected to reveal everything about yourself to a room full of people. That's not how vulnerability has to work. In the episode, members discuss how trust developed over time and how their understanding of vulnerability changed through participation in the group. We explore an important distinction: Authenticity does not require abandoning privacy. Men can have boundaries and still be honest. They can listen before they speak. They can decide what they're ready to share. And they can even pass when they don't want to answer something. Trust isn't something we demand from men when they walk through the door. It's something that develops through confidentiality, consistency, respect, and shared experience. Safe Doesn't Always Mean Comfortable Some of the most valuable conversations in our lives aren't necessarily comfortable. There is a difference between being unsafe and experiencing the discomfort that sometimes comes with seeing ourselves more clearly. One of the unique benefits of a group is having other men help us recognize things we may have difficulty seeing on our own. Sometimes that means receiving feedback. Sometimes it means hearing another man's experience and unexpectedly recognizing ourselves in his story. And sometimes it simply means having enough space to say something out loud that we've been carrying internally. The goal isn't discomfort for its own sake. It's creating an environment where honesty and respectful feedback can help us grow. The Real Test Happens Outside the Group Ultimately, AMG isn't about becoming good at participating in a men's group. The work matters when it begins affecting the rest of our lives. How do we communicate with our spouse? How present are we with our children? How do we respond when we're angry, overwhelmed, rejected, or afraid? How well do we understand what is happening inside ourselves? And are the relationships in our lives becoming more authentic because of it? The group gives us a place to practice awareness, honesty, vulnerability, feedback, and connection. But the purpose is to take those things with us when we leave the room.

Etsy - Layoffs With Better Numbers - Etsy is cutting about 220 jobs, or 12% of its workforce. - Management said the cuts were not primarily about cost savings or AI. ----- CEO Kruti Patel Goyal stated the restructuring aims to simplify the organization, remove management layers, and speed up decision-making to better compete against massive rivals like Amazon, Temu, and TikTok Shop - Q2 revenue was about $668 million and core marketplace sales improved. - Etsy also authorized another $2 billion share buyback. - Comes after selling Depop to eBay for about $1.4 billion. Polysilicon - Tariffs Plus Price Floors - U.S. policy adds a 15% tariff and minimum import prices on polysilicon and solar products. - Goal is to protect domestic production from low-cost foreign competition. - U.S. share of global polysilicon capacity fell from about 50% in 2005 to under 2% in 2024. - First Solar and T1 Energy jumped on the announcement. ---- The same playbook - rinse and repeat Chipotle - Salmonella Returns - Minnesota officials linked a salmonella outbreak to jalapenos served at Chipotle. - Chipotle removed the affected pepper supply and switched growers. - Shares fell roughly 8%-10% as investors remembered the company's earlier food-safety problems. - This is on top of the lettuce situation with Sweetgreen- look at STOCK CHART FOR SG Michael Burry - Calling a Major Top - Michael Burry says the market may be near a "major top." - Warned of the possibility of a 1987-style market drop. - He is short names including Nvidia, Palantir, Tesla and semiconductor stocks. - Main concern is stretched valuations and crowded trades unwinding quickly. - This may be the 100th top he has called since the GFC ---- NVIDIA TURNS GPUs INTO AN ASSET CLASS - Nvidia signed preliminary agreements with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs and KKR to mobilize more than $500 billion for AI infrastructure. - The Wall Street firms would create dedicated pools of capital to finance Nvidia-based data centers and compute infrastructure at what Nvidia calls attractive rates for customers. - Jensen Huang: “This is really the first time that technology chips have become an investable asset class.” Nvidia says the compute assets now generate revenue and can increasingly be financed like infrastructure. - Nvidia could backstop as much as 25% of individual investments on a case-by-case basis - potentially up to about $125 billion if applied across the full program. STRATEGIC PETROLEUM RESERVE BREAKS 300 MILLION - The Strategic Petroleum Reserve fell by 6.1 million barrels to 298.7 million barrels for the week ended Aug. 7 - below 300 million for the first time since January 1983. - The SPR started 2026 around 415 million barrels, meaning more than 100 million barrels have already come out this year as releases were used to offset disruptions from the Iran conflict. - The reserve's authorized storage capacity is roughly 714 million barrels, leaving current inventories at about 42% of capacity. - Oil on the rise last week Earnings and such Toyota - Big Buyback, Better Outlook - Toyota raised its annual operating-profit forecast 13%, helped by the weaker yen. - Announced a share buyback worth up to $6.3 billion. - Quarterly operating profit still fell 9%, hurt by China weakness and higher Middle East-related costs. McDonald's - Value Problem - U.S. same-store sales rose just 0.8%, below expectations and well below last year's 2.5% growth. - Management blamed weak execution of value promotions and fewer digital deals. (and probably because everyone is taking weight loss drugs - see above) - Lower-income customer traffic remains a major pressure point. - McDonald's is bringing back more digital offers and loyalty promotions to drive traffic. Eli Lilly - Weight-Loss Machine - Lilly crushed Q2 expectations as Mounjaro and Zepbound drove most of the growth. - Mounjaro sales hit $9.94 billion; Zepbound brought in $4.93 billion. - Raised 2026 revenue guidance to $85-$87 billion. - Verzenio, its major breast-cancer drug, remains one of Lilly's biggest non-obesity products. - Lilly continues widening its lead over Novo Nordisk in the obesity-drug market. Disney - Parks Keep Printing Money - Quarterly adjusted EPS rose 28% to $2.06, beating the $1.86 estimate. - Parks and experiences revenue increased 10% to nearly $10 billion. - Global park attendance grew 4%. - Disney is selling its 50% stake in A+E Networks to Hearst for an estimated $1.2 billion. Oil - OPEC Adds Barrels, Maybe - OPEC+ agreed to raise September production targets by another 188,000 barrels per day. - The increase completes the rollback of a 1.65 million-barrel-per-day supply cut dating back to 2023. (In other words - planned so not a surprise) - Actual supply remains constrained because several producers are already pumping below quota. - Any normalization around the Strait of Hormuz could suddenly make OPEC+'s additional barrels much more important. Berkshire Hathaway - Greg Abel Starts Spending - Q2 operating earnings rose 16% to about $13 billion. - Berkshire bought $23.5 billion of stocks and sold just $3.7 billion - its first quarter as a net stock buyer in 14 quarters. - Bought back $4.5 billion of Berkshire shares, versus only $235 million in Q1. - Cash dropped from roughly $380 billion to $365 billion as Abel starts putting the massive cash pile to work. - Important shift: Buffett is still chairman, but this is one of the clearest signs yet of how Greg Abel may allocate capital differently as CEO. Situational Awareness - Nearly Blows Up, Investors Want Back In - The fund lost 67% in July after leveraged AI bets collapsed and forced a major stock sale to Citadel. - Despite the blowup, Situational Awareness was still up about 80% for 2026 because of huge earlier gains. - Bloomberg says Silicon Valley investors are already asking to put more money into the fund. - Situational Awareness is currently telling prospective investors it is not accepting new capital. - The fund has also continued making large private investments even after the near-collapse. --- Most recent was a $400B ---- There is some talk that Citadel made out like a bandit on the rescue Mercedes AMG - The Car Literally Brands You - Two Mercedes AMG owners filed a class-action lawsuit claiming the metal AMG logo embedded in the seat becomes dangerously hot in the sun. - One driver says he suffered first- and second-degree burns, with a dermatologist describing the injury as "AMG inscribed." - The lawsuit wants Mercedes to cover damages and remove the metal logos from affected vehicles. - Hard to beat this one: pay AMG money and get the logo branded into your back. Europe's Drought - History Starts Popping Out - Extreme drought and low river levels are exposing things that have been underwater or hidden for decades or centuries. - In Serbia, sunken German World War II warships have reappeared in the Danube. - In Britain, dry ground revealed outlines of medieval buildings; mammoth remains and ancient structures have also surfaced elsewhere. - Serious drought story, but visually one of the strangest side effects of the summer. Golden Toilet - $6 Million Flush - The 18-carat gold toilet was ripped out of Blenheim Palace in a five-minute raid and has never been recovered - but there is a conviction. - Prosecutors used phone data, forensic evidence and planning activity to link the gang to the theft. - One defendant had cased the palace beforehand and photographed entry points; another man had already pleaded guilty and admitted helping move the stolen gold. - Prosecutors believe the 98-kilo toilet was quickly cut up or melted down and sold as gold. - So the conviction was based on evidence of the robbery and disposal - not on recovering the actual toilet. Final Follow Up SpaceX - Space Junk Smashes Into the Moon - A dead SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket stage crashed into the moon at about 5,400 mph after drifting through space since January 2025. - The roughly 4-ton, school-bus-size object kicked up a lunar dust plume that astronomers detected from Chile. - The impact was accidental - solar activity and gravity gradually pushed the abandoned rocket stage onto a collision course. - NASA and SpaceX are now discussing ways to prevent future lunar crashes as more hardware heads toward the moon. - NEED Space garbage Trucks - something we have discussed on show for years (see next) Space Garbage Trucks - This Is Becoming a Business - Astroscale is building spacecraft designed to inspect, capture and remove dead satellites and other orbital debris. - Its ADRAS-J mission demonstrated close approach and inspection of a large piece of existing space junk - a key step before actually grabbing and removing debris. - ClearSpace is developing similar debris-removal spacecraft, including missions designed to rendezvous with and capture abandoned rocket hardware. - The business model is basically orbital towing: governments and satellite operators pay to remove dangerous junk or service aging spacecraft. - With tens of thousands of tracked objects already in orbit, "space sanitation" could become a real infrastructure business. ON TODAY'S PROGRAM... WILL GEORGE BE PSYCHOLOGICALLY STRONG ENOUGH TO HANDLE THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON? IS LEWIS AND FERNANDO ADDICTED TO FORMULA 1? FERNANDO ALONSO IS NOW 45 YEARS OLD LITERALLY THE MARK MARTIN OF F1 AND... THIS WEEK'S NASIR HAMEED MOMENT ON MOTORSPORTS HISTORY WE HAVE AND INTERVIEW WITH ...SHANE SENEVIRATNE FOUNDER OF US RACETRONICS AND TEAM MANAGER... Created in 2005, US RaceTronics (USRT) first entered the 2005 Atlantic championship season and instantly achieved success. That season saw US RaceTronics capture 1 pole, 5 podium finishes, and finish 5th in the Championship standings. The "little team that could” proved that hard work and sacrifice still paid off. With the initial momentum of the prior season 2006 through 2009 saw US RaceTronics continue its success in the Atlantic series. The strength team drivers Simona De Silvestro and Frankie Muniz, the team was able to consistently finish on the podium with a total of 21 podiums, 7 poles, 5 race wins and finish 3rd in the 2009 Championship standings. Seneviratne, who holds deep roots in the Atlantic Championship, the GTD program has been largely centered around Silver-rated driver Goikhberg, who also moves over from GTWC America competition. “We've been doing Super Trofeo and veered off into the AMG with SRO but my heart's always been with Lamborghini,” Seneviratne told Sportscar365. “I like the guys, I like the brand. We had the opportunity to get in here and we started talking to Misha. “It all started with Misha and Bob Perona. He has been Misha's driver coach for a long time and Bob and I all worked with Simona de Silvestro in the Indycar days. “Bob felt like the most comfortable thing for Misha to do was to be in that same kind of support and environment that Simona had when she ran and she was successful with us. “She came from Newman Wachs with Jonathan Summerton. We built that culture and gave her the support [needed]. “We're trying to create that same atmosphere for Misha. “The majority of the budget comes from there. With Arrow, we had a small partnership last year with the Super Trofeo and they were excited to step up a little bit more and see what they could do with a GTD program.” While having run under the USRT/O'Gara Motorsport/Change Racing banner in Super Trofeo last year, the team will eventually be fully known as Forte Racing, a new marketing company that Seneviratne is a part owner in. “I've had a long-term relationship with Lamborghini of Beverly Hills, Tom O'Gara's dealership,” Seneviratne explained. “Then Edoardo Piscopo and Julia, Edoardo's wife, they also wanted to get involved, [as well as] Eddie [Littlefield] from Change Racing. “It was [USRT]/O'Gara/Change [last year], so we're now trying to get rid of all those names and start with a single brand, which is Forte Racing.” Seneviratne heads into his first 24-hour race as a team owner although he operated O'Gara Motorsport's short-lived Lamborghini GTD program in 2016, which led to the relaunch of USRT later that year. Seven years later, debuting Lamborghini's second GT3 evolution, Seneviratne is looking forward to the renewed challenge. “More than pride, I'm glad to represent Lamborghini and to have this opportunity,” he said. “It's not an opportunity that you get very often. We have to work together as a cohesive group. “But I can't emphasize enough how supportive Lamborghini has been. It's the same way I like to run the team. “I feel like Lamborghini had now just become an extension of that. We don't throw each other under the bus. We are there for support and there's no egos involved. “There's five ways to do something so I'm always listening and they're listening to us. “Right now they have way more [endurance racing] experience, all of the Lamborghini technicians, and we're absorbing it in. “We're grateful that we have really good support from Lamborghini.” With the demise of the Atlantic Series US RaceTronics' owner Shane Seneviratne took his talents to the IndyCar Series where he was paired once again with De Silvestro as the Team Manager for the HVM Racing. His talents were once again utilized with De Silvestro in 2013 by the KV Racing Technology team where he was brought on as a Consultant. In 2015 Seneviratne was hired by O'Gara Motorsports as their Race Team Director for their newly created Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North America Series entries. The team won the season opener at Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway with Pro driver Richard Antinucci. The team's consistent performances throughout the 2015 season led to O'Gara Motorsport winning the Team Championship, Dealership Championship, Pro Championship with driver Richard Antinucci, and Amateur Championship with Ryan Ockey. Amateur driver Ryan Ockey also won the 2015 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo World Championship. The team continued its success in 2019 with Damon Ockey and Jacob Eidson winning the North American Pro-Am Championship, while the team's second team of Pro-Am drivers, Ron Atapattu and Patrick Liddy finished third in the Championship. The team also fielded 16-year-old rookie Amateur driver Steven Aghakhani who would finish second in the North American Championship, after missing the first race due to age restrictions, but captured the Amateur World Championship becoming the youngest World Champion in Lamborghini Super Trofeo's history. 2020 was a challenging year for the world and for USRT. Last minute changes in scheduling and driver lineup were necessitated due to restrictions stemming from the COVID pandemic. The Lamborghini Super Trofeo season was shortened to 10 races from the normal 12 and the cancellation of the World Finals left USRT just short on championships. Steven Aghakhani and Jacob Eidson finished runners up in the Pro Championship, while Leo Lamalas finished runner up in the Am Championship. John Hennessy missed the final two races of the season, finishing fourth in the LB Cup Championship his rookie season. US RaceTronics' 2021 saw several peaks and valleys. The Pro duo of Steven Aghakhani and Jacob Eidson had one win and 8 additional podium finishes, but also suffered issues in a couple of races that left them just short of the North American Championship, finishing third. Meanwhile, John Hennessy won the season opener in the LB Cup Championship, but suffered an injury in a crash in Race 2, ending his hopes for a North American title. After missing the four subsequent races, Hennessy came back strong, winning five out of the remaining six races and sweeping the World Finals with four straight wins at the Misano, Italy track to become the LB Cup World Champion. 2022 will see US RaceTronics back in action in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North American Series for their seventh consecutive year. No. ¿Has robado algo?

The IEA now forecasts EVs will account for 29% of global sales in 2026, driven by growth beyond China and the US in markets like Australia, Brazil, India, Korea and Vietnam, though China's EV sales are expected to stagnate year-on-year for the first time this decade while still representing over 60% of new cars sold there.EUROPEAN BEV SHARE HITS RECORD IN JUNEEuropean new car registrations rose 13% year-on-year in June with BEV registrations climbing 50.7% to capture a record 25.7% market share of 359,300 units. Combustion vehicles fell 13.6% to 27% market share, while Tesla led EV rankings but growth broadened across Renault, BMW, Skoda, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, Volvo and BYD.RIVIAN BEATS, BUT R2 COSTS MOUNTRivian posted Q2 2026 revenue of $1.658 billion with record gross profit of $179 million and 11% gross margin, improving for five consecutive quarters, but the R2 mid-size SUV ramp added $100 million in extra costs. The company raised full-year delivery guidance to 65,000-70,000 vehicles and narrowed adjusted EBITDA loss guidance to $1.8-2.0 billion, requiring roughly 42,000-47,000 deliveries in the second half.RIVIAN SEES STRONG EARLY R2 CONVERSIONRivian reported R2 Launch Edition reservation-to-order conversion is running meaningfully above expectations, signaling strong demand at the premium price point. The company expects broader R2 trim availability in early 2027, which could drive better momentum when lower-priced versions become available.VW URGES FAST EU TARIFFS ON CHINESE PHEVSVW Group CEO Oliver Blume called for the EU to quickly apply 35% tariffs on Chinese plug-in hybrids similar to those on Chinese battery electric vehicles, citing undercutting of European car makers. Chinese brand sales in Europe rose 101% in H1 2026 to 685,990 units with 9.5% market share, up from 5% a year earlier, with BYD models dominating the PHEV top sellers list.DENZA OPENS UK BAO 5 ORDERSDENZA opened UK orders for the BAO 5 plug-in hybrid SUV priced from £69,500 to £78,880, featuring a dual-motor system delivering 544PS combined power with 62 miles of electric range and up to 100kW DC charging. The entry Elegance trim includes premium features like a 15.6-inch central screen with Google, leather upholstery, panoramic roof and a 18-speaker Devialet audio system.MERCEDES FACES YEARS OF CHINA PRICE PRESSUREMercedes-Benz CEO Ola Källenius warned that China's EV pricing war will persist for years as Chinese brands like BYD push aggressively into the luxury segment, challenging models such as the S-Class and G-Class. Mercedes recorded a 30% second-quarter sales drop in China, though the company is cutting costs and maintaining strength in its top-end luxury and AMG segments.GENESIS PRICES GV60 MAGMA AT $71,495Genesis priced its first performance EV, the GV60 Magma, at $71,495 with deliveries starting in select US states, targeting Mercedes-AMG and BMW M buyers with 600hp in normal use and 641hp in Boost Mode for under four-second 0-60mph acceleration. The car uses an 84kWh battery with 800V architecture enabling 10-80% charging in about 20 minutes and features an electronic limited-slip differential, Drift Mode and simulated engine sounds.CHINESE TRUCK MAKERS USE EUROPE'S FACTORIESChinese truck makers SuperPanther and Sinotruk are entering Europe through contract manufacturing at existing plants rather than building new factories, using the semi-knocked-down method to speed market entry and reduce costs. Steyr Automotive in Austria now assembles SuperPanther's eTopas 600 and Sinotruk's vehicles, with plans to expand to cab production and painting as volumes rise.VATTENFALL TESTS OPEN EV CHARGING BAYSVattenfall InCharge is piloting 300 public chargers in North Brabant and Limburg from August 2026 to January 2027, splitting them between 150 open bays for all vehicles and 150 standard bays reserved for EVs to test faster deployment by removing exclusive EV parking restrictions. The trial addresses an administrative bottleneck rather than a technical one, testing whether chargers can be installed faster without requiring traffic rulings and public objection periods.MAN STARTS MCS-READY ELECTRIC TRUCK PRODUCTIONMAN started series production of MCS-ready electric trucks, the eTGX and eTGS, at its Munich plant as the first series-produced European electric trucks supporting Megawatt Charging System at up to 750kW via MCS. With configurations of 534kWh or 623kWh usable capacity, the trucks achieve 20-80% charges in under 30-40 minutes, fitting within legally required driver breaks for long-haul use.NEXT MX-5 READIES FOR ELECTRIC FUTUREMazda CEO Masahiro Moro said the next MX-5 Miata will be designed with electrification in mind, marking a shift from earlier statements emphasizing the internal combustion engine as the current path forward. Patents from 2025 show Mazda exploring batteries running through the transmission tunnel to support a flexible chassis, with the company aiming to preserve the Miata's core character during its transition to electric power.
Llegamos a Maranello.

On this episode of the Athletic Motion Golf Podcast, Mike Granato and Shaun Webb reveal something they've spent over 10 years building. After more than a decade giving 3D lessons, we kept seeing the same fault in 99% of golfers: the trail arm. It over-bends, pulls behind the rib cage, and lowers — and that combination is what sends the club steep and over the top in transition. We tried every training aid out there to fix it, and never loved any of them: they were cumbersome, they didn't fit every arm, and worst of all, most did the work FOR you — so nothing transferred once you took them off.So we built our own. In this episode we walk through the whole journey...the forearm braces golfers used as a "door stop," the velcroed squeaky dog toys, the adult swimmies (yes, the Nelly Korda ones), and the version with teeth that "chewed up my arm like a shark" — right up to the finished design: the Arm Shark. It gives you two kinds of instant feedback — a tactile give and an audible click — the moment your trail arm bends too much, so you do 100% of the movement yourself. No app, no Bluetooth, just old-school analog pass/fail. In testing we're seeing 30–40° of arm-bend change in just a few swings, and it works for the takeaway, the downswing (staying wide like Hunter Mahan), setup, and short game. It ships with three fins for every arm type and skill level. This kicks off the next phase of AMG — turning a decade of data into tools that make these concepts tangible in your very next practice session.

Welcome to the swing confessional.Shaun Webb and Mike Granato from Athletic Motion Golf open up about every dumb thing they bought, built, or did in the name of getting better at golf before they had GEARS, force plates, or any way to actually measure what works. Their stories are funny, painful, and brutally honest. The kind of stuff most golf coaches would never admit to a camera. The PVC pipe SAM 2000 ring that gave Shaun two months of shanks before his first season in Maine. The Mark Brooks strap-and-cuffs system that gave him the laterals. Mike convincing his dad to buy a brand-new Brute garbage can so he could cut the rim off and duct-tape it to the wall to swing inside. Shaun's wholesale Bob Mann's Automatic Golf rebuild two weeks before his state championship (he somehow hit 17 greens — still praising Bob Mann). The Killer B driver with the 46-inch shaft. The Viper Bite sandpaper-faced wedge. The original Medicus breakaway and the friend who bought one in a pro shop and shanked the first four approach shots of a money game with money on every hole.Plus the methodology spectrum that traps so many golfers (one extreme to the other), the discovery that tour pros congregate in a tight "AMG window" of about 8-10 parameters, and why Shaun's nephew growing up now has access to information that Shaun and Mike spent decades wishing they had.
This week on the cast, Matthew, Kenny, and Bryan go through all the changes AMG has made to the characters in the game, how we felt about them, and how they landed long term in the overall game. Your car can be perfectly fine one day and on a recall list the next and some of these aren't minor. We kick things off with a no-nonsense rundown of fresh automotive recalls, including a Hyundai software issue tied to the front camera that can accidentally trigger forward collision avoidance and cause sudden braking. We also talk through recalls touching control arms, instrument panel displays, and seat belt problems across multiple brands, plus why “it only happens once” is still a safety problem. Then we switch gears into pure car-nerd fun with the Hemmings sold car price roundup. We put real auction results against our best guesses and let the market do the talking, from a classic Cadillac convertible and a former police Chevy Caprice to a 1969 Camaro convertible, a Pontiac Bonneville, a Buick Grand National, and a surprisingly affordable BMW Z3. If you've ever wondered what condition, originality, and hype actually do to prices, this segment makes it real fast.We wrap with our cruise in and events calendar, then hit the week's biggest automotive news: U.S. EV registrations stabilizing, Tesla's continued lead, Mitsubishi teasing a stronger U.S. lineup, Mercedes updating its AMG twin turbo V8 with a flat plane crank to meet stricter emissions rules, and the expanding robotaxi race through partnerships aimed at Level 4 autonomy. We also connect high fuel prices to changing demand for full-size pickups and SUVs, and what that could mean for new vehicle shopping.Subscribe for weekly car talk, share this with a friend who checks recall notices late, and leave a review so more drivers can find the show.Be sure to subscribe for more In Wheel Time Car Talk! The Lupe' Tortilla RestaurantsLupe Tortilla in Katy, Texas Gulf Coast Auto ShieldPaint protection, tint, and more!Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. Connection Without Agreement (Part 2) Discernment, Boundaries, and Repair in Relationships Last week, we talked about something that feels increasingly rare today: how to stay connected with people we disagree with. We talked about curiosity instead of correction. We talked about why men often become defensive. And we challenged ourselves to notice where we become reactive before trying to convince someone else. But there is another side of that conversation that matters just as much. Sometimes people hear conversations about staying connected and assume it means, Just keep trying. Never walk away. Everyone deserves unlimited access to you. That is not what we mean. Mature masculinity is not just knowing how to stay in difficult conversations. It is also knowing when a conversation is no longer healthy. It is knowing who gets close access to your life. It is knowing how to set boundaries without becoming bitter. And it is knowing how to repair relationships when repair is actually possible. Emotional Safety Is Not the Same as Emotional Comfort One of the biggest misunderstandings in relationships is confusing emotional safety with emotional comfort. They are not the same thing. Comfort says, Nothing difficult happens. Safety says, Something difficult can happen, and I still believe you are for me. We can disagree. We can challenge each other. We can name hurt. We can have tension. But if emotional safety is present, there is still a sense that we are not trying to shame, humiliate, or abandon one another. That is what makes hard conversations possible. This is especially important in marriage and close relationships. Many couples are not just fighting about politics, money, or parenting. Often, they are fighting because somewhere along the way they stopped believing, You are still with me. Once that trust begins to erode, every disagreement starts to feel like rejection. Then the nervous system shifts into self-protection instead of connection. That is why emotional regulation matters so much. Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is not finish the conversation in the moment. Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is pause. Not because we are avoiding the issue, but because we are protecting the relationship. A regulated nervous system is far more capable of curiosity than a flooded one. The Circle of Relationships This is where one of the most helpful frameworks we use in AMG comes in: the Circle of Relationships. The Circle of Relationships reminds us that not every relationship should have the same level of emotional access. Different relationships carry different levels of trust, responsibility, and intimacy. Not everyone belongs in our inner circle. And that is okay. One of the mistakes many men make is treating every relationship as if it deserves the same access to their time, emotions, and energy. But healthy relationships do not work that way. This framework removes a lot of guilt. Sometimes men think boundaries mean they do not love someone. That is not true. Sometimes boundaries are exactly what love looks like. We may deeply love a family member, but because trust has been repeatedly broken, they may not belong in our closest circle. That does not mean they are worthless. It means trust and access are not the same thing. Many men also confuse kindness with unlimited availability. They think saying no is selfish. But emotional resources are finite. If everyone gets Circle Three access, then no one actually gets our best. This is not only about protecting ourselves. It is also about honoring relationships appropriately. Our spouse should not have the same emotional access as an acquaintance. Our children should not constantly lose our attention to strangers online. Our closest relationships should reflect our actual priorities. Our circles communicate what matters most. What Makes Conversations Unsafe Unsafe conversations usually do not become unsafe all at once. They often shift gradually. Curiosity disappears first. Then assumptions show up. Then shame. Then contempt. People stop asking questions. They start assigning motives. You always… You are just trying to… People like you… The conversation shifts from understanding a person to defeating an opponent. And social media has trained us to do exactly that. The internet rewards certainty. Real relationships reward humble curiosity. Humble curiosity means we stay open without becoming passive. It means we ask honest questions without pretending we have no convictions. It means we care more about understanding the person in front of us than winning the moment. This matters in marriage, politics, church, family, friendships, and men's groups. Any environment can become unsafe when curiosity gets replaced by contempt. Repair Without Losing Yourself One of the clearest signs of emotional maturity is not perfection. It is repair. We are going to misunderstand people. We are going to get defensive. We are going to say things we wish we had not said. The question is not whether we will mess up. The question is whether we will come back. Repair looks like owning what was ours. It looks like apologizing honestly. It looks like re-engaging instead of pretending nothing happened. But repair also requires discernment. Not every relationship is repairable. Some people do not want repair. Some people repeatedly violate boundaries. Some relationships need distance. That is not failure. That is wisdom. This is where many men need freedom. Boundaries do not make us less compassionate. Healthy boundaries often allow compassion to survive. Without boundaries, resentment usually grows. Staying connected without losing ourselves means learning to hold both: openness and limits, compassion and discernment, honesty and wisdom. A Weekly Challenge This week, take time to think about your Circle of Relationships. Who currently has access to your time, your emotions, and your energy? Does that actually reflect your values? Then think about one relationship that could benefit from repair. Maybe that means having a conversation you have been avoiding. Maybe it means offering an apology. Maybe it means simply reaching back out. And if repair is not possible, ask yourself a different question: What healthy boundary do I need instead? Final Reflection Connection does not require agreement. But connection also does not require unlimited access. Healthy men learn both. We stay curious without becoming passive. We hold convictions without becoming contemptuous. We set boundaries without becoming hardened. And we repair relationships whenever repair is possible. That is the kind of men we are trying to become. Most golf training aids will make you worse...and the average golfer doesn't know.Shaun Webb and Mike Granato from Athletic Motion Golf pull back the curtain on training aids: the ones they actually recommend, the ones that quietly train the OPPOSITE movement of what you're trying to fix, and the simple criteria every training aid has to pass to be worth your money. The big rule: a training aid should give you feedback, not do the work for you. If it restricts you into the right position (rails, arm tubes, swimming pool noodles, butt-band restrictors), your muscles are training to push AGAINST the restriction — which means as soon as you take it off, you've ingrained the exact pattern you were trying to change. Shaun's confession about the swing jacket is the perfect cautionary tale. Thousands of balls trained the wrong move.Plus the Greg Rose TPI concept of "use the opposite" (pull the golfer toward the bad move so they have to engage the right muscles to counter it), why the Hits Driver is one of the only training aids on AMG's recommendation list, and why the camera + foam ball + Swing Coach app combo is the most underrated training aid setup you already own.And the bonus: camera perspective and lens distortion in golf swing video — why the iPhone "3D" apps that point at a laptop screen produce horrific data, and why your swing looks completely different from four cameras three feet apart.Want training aid reviews from AMG? Let us know in the comments. We're starting Training Aid Tuesdays soon, plus live Q&A broadcasts from the AMG studio.

The follow-up to the Bad Swing Advice Hall of Fame is finally here. After the first podcast, Mike Granato & Shaun Webb were flooded the comments with one reques... do the BEST swing advice version. So Shaun and Mike sat down and inducted the cues they use to fix more amateur swings than anything else. The first inductee alone fixes 999 out of 1000 golfers. The trail arm has to lift and stay wide in the backswing. Almost every amateur lowers it. Almost every tour player lifts it. It's the single most common move that separates the buckets. They also induct Scott Hamilton's "on plane early" cue, the recentering concept that AMG named years ago, the Lazy Susan downswing, the "no hip turn in the backswing" foundation (with a nod to Dr. Kwon's "turn shoulders, tilt hips"), and the driver tip that finally lines up the clubface without forcing shaft lean. These are the cues AMG uses to coach players off the hamster wheel and into real ball striking improvement.

You can get 500 golf lessons a day on Instagram. That's the problem.Shaun Webb and Mike Granato break down what they call the "golf swing hamster wheel" — the trap most amateur golfers are stuck in. Try a tip. Bail after one bad shot. Try the next tip. Spend years working hard and going nowhere. This episode of the Athletic Motion Golf Podcast is the framework AMG uses to coach players off the hamster wheel for good. The five-step system covers what to look for in an online coach, why most ground force teaching is guessing, the Tony Rogerio 3x5 card rule for real improvement, Jack Nicklaus on why a swing change has to feel weird, and how to use Swing System 2.0 and the Swing Coach app to build a blueprint you don't have to rebuild every six months. What you'll learn:The first question to ask any online coach. "Do you measure?"Why ground force teaching without force plates is mostly guessingThe parking lot analogy that explains why most amateurs never improveThe Tony Rogerio 3x5 note card rule. Three things for a full yearThe Jack Nicklaus answer for "why does this feel weird?"Why feel is the least reliable source of feedback in the golf swingHow to calibrate today's feel against tomorrow's drift

Join Here: https://ow.ly/msoH50WCu0K In this segment of Notorious Mass Effect, Analytic Dreamz breaks down the rise of Tito Double P and the release of his highly anticipated solo single “PASE Y PASE.”Born Jesús Roberto Laija García on August 18, 1997, in Tepic and raised in Culiacán, Tito Double P first made his mark as a songwriter behind major corridos hits including El Belicón, PRC, and AMG. As Peso Pluma's cousin, he played a key role in the modern Regional Mexican movement before stepping into the spotlight with the viral success of Dembow Bélico in 2023.Analytic Dreamz examines Tito's rapid ascent, from his chart-topping debut album Incómodo (2024) to the collaborative Dinastía project (2025) with Peso Pluma. The discussion dives deep into “PASE Y PASE,” released April 30, 2026 via Double P Records. This smoother, more melodic track signals a stylistic evolution, shifting from high-energy corridos bélicos toward emotional vulnerability, toxic relationships, and late-night regret. The segment explores early streaming performance, mixed fan reactions, TikTok virality, and how the single fits into Tito Double P's expanding career during the Dinastía tour. Analytic Dreamz delivers context on production choices, audience reception, and what this release means for the future of Regional Mexican music.Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
99% of golfers are lowering their trail arm in the backswing. Tour players lift it. This single move is the difference between a swing with power and a swing stuck in a plateau.Shaun Webb and Mike Granato break it all down on today's Athletic Motion Golf Podcast...the trail arm lift epidemic. Why decades of "don't lift your arms" instruction, the Hogan rope image, and the towel-under-arms drill have created an army of golfers fighting their own swing. Backed by 20,000+ swings in the AMG GEARS database and over $2 billion in tour earnings worth of swing data. What you'll learn:- The 5 to 15 degree window every tour player lives in- Why amateurs lower the arm in the same window pros lift it- How the wrong arm position destroys rotation, lag, shallowing, and shaft lean- Why down the line video lies to you and face on tells the truth- The two backswing fixes that have made players better overnight- What "the hoist" is and why your takeaway might be faking it
