We are totally psyched to welcome Joe Symes & The Loving Kind! The band are currently finishing their upcoming third album Portmanteau, which is scheduled for release in early 2024. This has been preceded by the video It's All Too Late – a track taken from the album – which was uploaded live on YouTube on the 29th September. This song has already had international airplay, and reached number 2 in one of the major Rock charts in Australia (Banks Radio Australia Valley FM 85.9), as number 4 in one of the UK's (The Chart of Gold). Two tracks from their first ep appeared on the Charity Compilation "Shoulder to Shoulder" alongside tracks by Paul Weller, Ocean Colour Scene, Roger McGuinn (The Byrds), Robyn Hitchcock, Noel Gallagher, Peter Noone (Herman's Hermits) and Wishbone Ash. This collection was organised by David Quaife, whose brother Pete was the original bass player of the British rock legends The Kinks. Creation Records' Alan McGee even praised the album in question, Celebs Matthew Modine, and Michael Keaton are fans. Note the earlier time if you want to call into the live show.

The band's self-titled debut album, released on their own record label, Truly Independent Records, is a resume of their musical versatility. Joe Symes, along with Colin White, founded the band. It was while attending a local gig that the latter suggested to the former the name the “Loving Kind:” something that had been buried in his subconscious after listening the R.E.M song Get Up. After a sip or two of beer, the two agreed, set to work, adding bass player Alan Welsh. The music world now had a powerful, explosive and foot tapping power trio on their hands. An act one spectator described as “sounding like nine people on stage, not a mere three.”

This was followed by the energetic rock orientated double A side single I'm Gonna Find Out Someday/Things Get Better: two tracks that shows their current heavy pop incarnation, and gave the listener a glimpse of the direction the second album would take them. The single was not only played during half time at Liverpool Football Club's ground on several occasions, but was a three-week feature on BBC Introducing. Not too bad for the band's second official release, spurring into more recordings and shows.

Totally psyched to have Joe Symes & The Loving Kind in Madame Perry's Salon!  Joe Symes, along with Colin White, founded the band. It was while attending a local gig that the latter suggested to the former the name the “Loving Kind:” something that had been buried in his subconscious after listening the R.E.M song Get Up. After a sip or two of beer, the two agreed, set to work, and following one line up change added bass player Alan Welsh. The music world now had a powerful, explosive and foot taping power trio on their hands. An act one spectator described as “sounding like nine people on stage, not a mere three.”  Like four other musicians who also called this major northwest city their home, they take great pride in the fact they churn out songs that are not only catchy, memorable, and instantly appealing, but cater to a wide range of people from all walks of life.    Theme music for Madame Perry's Salon composed and performed by Denton Perry. Set your dials to the Third Men Podcast, because this week we're being taken over by the most notorious radio pirate of them all - John Peel! When British DJ and all-around music tastemaker John Peel discovered The White Stripes debut album on a trip to the Netherlands, both Peel and the Stripes would never again be the same. For Jack and Meg, John gave them crucial exposure and a solid gold endorsement right as their careers were truly taking off. In Jack, John gained a kindred spirit and a renewed sense of hope for music like he hadn't experienced since the dawn of punk so many years prior. In this episode we cover it all, exploring Peel's life and just what made him such a quintessential ingredient in not just english music culture, but the broader musical consciousness of the world. Plus, third man Colin White of Joe Symes and the Loving Kind shares with us his own musical origins, how playing drums in Liverpool brought him to the world stage, and what experiencing the "Peel Effect" first hand was like. Joe Symes & The Loving Kind are about to blast off the charts! Only together a couple of years this Liverpool band's career path is on a swift upward trajectory. Yes, they are that good! Bonus -  they're fantastic guys.  Since the release of their debut album in 2013, the band have embarked on a non-stop journey all over the UK, performing in cities and towns from London to Glasgow. Taking their self-titled debut on an assault around the country has seen them pick up some major support slots including The Blockheads, Dodgy, XTC, Bloc Party and Alt-J, as well as hitting the Festival circuit, and coming to the attention of Creation Management’s Alan McGee. The album has also been greatly received in America, and had magazine and airplay all over the world. With the release of their new single, Things Get Better, the band showcase how they have evolved, formed from more increasingly energetic live performances, with a heavier sound, but still keeping their distinctive feel found on the first album. Things Get Better has already begun to attract attention at home and abroad, being featured on BBC Introducing, being played at Anfield (Liverpool FC) on match days, as well as already having some International airplay. Meet Joe Symes & The Loving Kind in Madame Perry's Salon tonight. Don't be left behind!

The Madame loves music, especially of the Brit-Pop, UK RnR styles! Tonight's show is one you'll definitely want to download from iTunes. I'll be surprised if you aren't already familiar with British band Joe Symes & The Loving Kind. The description below is from their website. The party starts at 7PM EDT at Mme Perry's Salon! Joe Symes and The Loving Kind help relive 80's Bowie, Brit-Pop and the solo workings of Sir Paul McCartney. Simplistic yet all the same intensely powerful, Liverpool's acoustic/rock five-piece bring a relaxation to the mind to create a hypnotic trance, fitting in with their own rock-esque image. So far the musicians have had many an experience in the past years, one of the more notable milestones, headlining Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds after show party, proving their musical prowess within the industry
