She reveals the franchise topped 10,000 season ticket members and six figures in merchandise sales within hours of the reveal, with a fan fest planned for Saturday at Edgewater Beach. Howard also touches on the business case for investing in women's sports, partnerships with Cleveland Clinic to help players handle online scrutiny, and the road ahead before the Sirens actually take the court in 2028.

Driven to Ride

For more than two decades, Motoblot has brought Chicago's motorcycle community together in a way only Chicago could. What began in 2005 as Mods vs. Rockers—a small gathering of café racers and scooters outside Delilah's—has evolved into a three-day celebration of motorcycles, hot rods, live music, art, film, and the people who make the city's two-wheel culture special. For this episode of “Driven to Ride,” host Mark Long heads to Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood to experience Motoblot 2026 and talk with the people behind the party. Founder Larry “Fletch” Fletcher and his daughter Tenley share the event's history, its move to the South Side, and what it means to carry a family business—and a motorcycle community—into the next generation. Mark also meets Morgan Michelle, the first woman invited to compete in MotoBlot's Valhalla Custom Motorcycle Builders Challenge—and its first female winner. Her 33,000-tile disco chopper captured the six-foot Gungnir trophy and plenty of attention. Royal Enfield's Jennifer Lewis also stops by to explain the company's Build. Train. Race. program and why MotoBlot stands apart from other motorcycle events. Part bike show, part concert, and part neighborhood block party, MotoBlot proves that it doesn't matter what you ride. The Iconic Dollcast

Join me for an incredible extra-long conversation with one of the toy industry's most accomplished designers, Stefanie Eskander, whose remarkable career has spanned more than 45 years.Beginning as a children's illustrator before transitioning into toy design, Stefanie has worked for some of the biggest names in the business, including Mattel, Hasbro, Tonka, Fisher-Price, Play Along Toys, and Small World Toys. Her creative fingerprints can be found on some of the most beloved toys and dolls of the last four decades, including Moonglow (Rainbow Brite), Popples, Jem and the Holograms, Sweetie Pops, Maxie, MoonDreamers, Tonka Trucks, Cabbage Patch Kids, Skydancers, and so much more.Stefanie also takes us behind the scenes of one of the most fascinating eras in toy history—working at Hasbro during the legendary Jem and the Holograms vs. Barbie and the Rockers rivalry. We discuss what it was really like designing toys at major companies, juggling multiple product lines in different stages of development, and navigating the creative and corporate challenges that come with bringing iconic toys to life.We also dive into why toy and doll designers so rarely receive public recognition, the strict confidentiality surrounding unreleased projects, and the reality that many toys can spend months—or even years—in development before never making it to store shelves. Finally, we explore how the toy industry has evolved over the decades and what it's really like to build a career creating the toys that shaped generations. This is a fascinating conversation filled with incredible stories, behind-the-scenes history, and insights you won't hear anywhere else. Whether you're a lifelong collector, toy enthusiast, or simply curious about how your favorite childhood toys came to life, this is an episode you won't want to miss. This episode also marks the finale of this year's Summer Session! Soul Rockers Judge Jackson Returns With Chapter One 1995 Thru 2000 Todd McTavish

Valley of Fire Records released "Judge Jackson: Chapter One," marking the 10th anniversary of the passing of guitarist and co-founder Lee Jackson. This release commemorates the beginnings of the band's history and the vibrant stories from the creatively rich compound known as The Junkyard in North Hollywood, CA. Additionally, the lyric video for the song "Knucklehead" was unveiled on the same day.Long before their music featured in a Super Bowl, NASCAR race, and collaborations with an Oscar winner (notably, Billy Bob Thornton), Judge Jackson established themselves as the soundtrack to many people's lives. The origins of Judge Jackson date back to 1995, when vocalist and lyricist Todd McTavish, who had moved from Canada where he once played in a band with Shania Twain as a backup vocalist, partnered with guitarist and songwriter Lee Jackson in Los Angeles. Together with bassist Ryan Rogers and drummer Chris Pendleton, they diligently performed in the local club circuit, gradually cultivating a devoted local following. By 1998, the band released its debut album, followed shortly by a second CD, titled "8068."The initial CD releases have been out of print for years; however, these 18 songs are now being re-released digitally in 2026. The tracks have been remastered by producer Tim Narducci for Valley of Fire Records, with the first release being the fan favorite and bike rally anthem, “Knucklehead,” on January 1, 2026, coinciding with the 5th anniversary of Valley of Fire Records. This remastered collection features 18 songs that are now available on all digital and streaming platforms. We invite you to join us in celebrating the life and music of Lee Jackson.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the life and music of Lee Jackson.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-like-it-s-live--4113802/support.

Some minor audio issues this week - Weldon's mic is too hot! - but it's tempered by a gentle song by The Monkees - "I Wanna Be Free" from 1966. Infact, they did two versions - the first is sweet, simple and stringy with a vocal by Davy Jones, the second is Dylan-bait with Mickey Dolenz singing.  Mod and The Rockers from Virginia did a garage version in '67, and then there's a soulful gender-flipped version by Vivian Reed from '68. Finally, another in our growing list of unlikely artists, we include an elegaic version by Richard Marx! Turn the volume down and enjoy!!

We also talk WWE as Liv Morgan not only used a mash up of entrance music that included Reality Suite, but Liv and lead singer Kimmii Heart were actually friends prior to their stardom. Something for everyone in this interview! Check it out now!Rock!(Note: There may be some sound quality issues in certain spots during this interview, recording all four members things did come in low or cut out but we did our best to bring you this interview as clear and complete as possible. Thank you for understanding!)
