What is YOUR bike of the year? Well, if you read any of these 34 publications http://www.bonniercorp.com/brands/ You're probably noticing a trend...and $omebody is definitely telling you what motorcycle to buy. CLEVELANDMOTO BIKES OF 2016 Here's our completely unqualified opinion on what each of us thought was our bike of the year: John McElfresh ; The Yamaha XSR900 and he was right, with an MSRP of under $10k this seems like a LOT of bike for the $$$ Chris Smith: He's going for the Moto Guzzi MGX-21 - Yep, we do really like this bike, it violates all of the cruiser norms and I'm totally ok with that. Phil Waters: I really, really love the Zero DS motorcycle, and I've enjoyed riding it more than anything else...but as far as what bike I think is just a cool execution I dig this new Yamaha SCruiser 950 - or is it the SCRuiser 950? Johnny Chrome; Well, he was pretty clear on the fact that he was loving the Van Van 200 from Suzuki... So, what the hell is a VAN-VAN, well, in the U.S. it was sold as the RV125 Tracker.... Now available again as the VanVan 200 And our Shop Project is to make this 1995 R100RT motorcycle into a Cafe Racer / Classic Standard

The standard model was introduced in 1968 and produced through 1979. The "Special" cruiser model was introduced in 1978 and produced through 1985. The XS650 began with the 1955 Hosk SOHC 500 twin. After about 10 years of producing 500 twin, Hosk engineers designed a 650 cc twin. Later the Hosk company was acquired by Showa Corporation, and in 1960 Yamaha had bought Showa with Hosk's early design of 650 cc twin.[1]When the Yamaha XS 650 was launched in 1968 it had one of the most advanced engines in its class of large parallel twin motorcycles. The engine and gearboxare unit construction with the crankcase split horizontally for ease of assembly whereas almost all contemporaries in its class in 1968 are either unit construction with a vertically split crankcase or pre-unit construction with separate engine and gearbox. The cool thing about the XS-650 is you can do damn near anything with it: Scrambler Chopper Cafe Racer Off Road - Scrambler Custom ?!?! Or, the one that Johnny Chrome actually owned:

Welcome Luke (SparkyMoto) and The new Genuine G400C, Welcome to Luke; Here's the Ad we used to hire Johnny Chrome and Luke: -Motorcycle mechanic needed for 13 year old shop with locations on the east and west side of town. -You must have actual experience with vintage Japanese motorcycles and be able to prove it. -You will be asked to bring in your small tool box (rally box). -You will be asked to perform a basic mechanical service to our standards to assess your skills. -We are not looking for someone who "has always dreamed of working on Harleys" yes, you may work on the occasional HD, but the vast majority of bikes we work on are from Japan and other places. -Don't bother if your idea of a custom build is $5000 worth of accessories that you bolted on "all by yourself". -We are not looking for "Ricky Rocket" types, stretched swingarms and nitrous is great for the track, but it's not what we do. -If you just put a power commander on your 'Busa and now it's Hella Fast...we commend you, but you probably want to look elsewhere. We're looking for a guy who can do 8 billable hours of work in an 8 hour day. We're not here to train you, we don't need an apprentice, nobody is here to hold your hand. Motorcycle license REQUIRED !
