In this episode,  we explore life, death, and the beauty of existence. We start by introducing to audience to AI Justin, and then go into Justin's near-drowning experience. We tackle the concept of 'memento mori', reflecting on the temporariness of self and others, and how this awareness can inspire a life of purpose, dignity, and mindfulness. This episode promises to be a deep, introspective look at how ancient wisdom can guide us in understanding the full spectrum of human experience. We've got some powerful quotes from the likes of  Marcus Aurelius and Seneca, we delve into the significance of embracing life's fragility and the importance of cherishing every moment and relationship. And in today's Stoic Reimagining we explore, what would happen if the Stoics had their own 10 commandments? Music by: Surrounded by Hayden Folker | https://soundcloud.com/hayden-folker

Do you find this to be a pattern in your life? In today's episode, Victor and Nicko will be reminding us how important it is to live immediately (with a quote by Seneca) and how we can break this pattern by bringing ourselves to the present moment quickly with the power of meditation. Jeff Sandquist really needs no introduction to the Live Immediately family, as this is the third time I have had the privilege to interview Jeff. Jeff has become a close friend and he was the host of the brilliant Intentionally Wandering Podcast that literally changed my life. But over the past year, Jeff has been going through some changes in his own life, assessing what is improving his life, what isn’t, and what things in his life have simply run their course. This has lead Jeff to do something that many people might think about, but struggle to make the final decision. Jeff has deleted all of his social media accounts. He has also stopped his podcast and blog. In this episode I really dive deep into why Jeff felt the need to pull back from the digital world and how he feels about not being as connected anymore. And his answers might surprise you. This isn’t an episode about social media bashing, it is about knowing yourself, knowing when to quit, knowing when things in your life stop benefitting you, and the importance of experimenting in your life. Jeff allows his curiosity to lead his life. Sometimes it is through the unknown, and sometimes it is back to the beginning. I hope you enjoy x www.liveimmediately.com

As sure as the sun will rise in the east, our days start when we wake up and get out of bed. Today I am talking everything mornings with Craig Kulyk, who runs the website creategoodmornings.com. Taking control of my mornings has been a big game changer for me, and the catalyst to so much change in my life. To be honest, without working on, testing, tweaking my mornings, I don’t think Live Immediately would be where it is today and you might not be listening to this podcast Craig and I discuss how to create your own good morning and things to consider when starting out, the importance of doing something you want to do and changing things up or experimenting with your mornings, and focussing on small wins. We also dive into how your mornings are all about building habits, the benefits of tracking your habits, and how your evenings are just as vital as your mornings and how the two are so strongly linked. When you have little ones running around, the thought of owning your mornings can feel like a utopian dream. I completely get it. But once you put a few pieces in place, and understand not every morning will go to plan, it will feel like you’re living a new rejuvenated life. I hope you enjoy x www.liveimmediately.com

Today’s episode is a little different. It’s hosted not by Brooke, and it’s not hosted by Ben either. It’s hosted by their mate Mike Campbell from Live Immediately, and in a strange turn of events, he actually interviews Brooke. Mike and Brooke have a fantastic conversation about life at the moment, and how Brooke is dealing with the wobbly balance between the busy-ness of launching a book and the importance of maintaining a slower pace of life over all. They also talk about the messy and imperfect process of learning to be emotionally available, why it was so stunningly uncomfortable to do so, and the impact Brooke has felt on her relationships, self-worth and the direction her life has taken since. They talk about softening in to the unknown, and the importance of allowing ourselves time to come to decisions. Mike also talks about some big possibilities he and Inga are weighing up at the moment as well as his (very sensible) approach to making those big decisions. That is, once a choice has been made, it’s made, but until then it’s OK to not know. It’s OK to revisit and marinate in the possibilities because that’s a necessary part of the process. Brooke and Mike also chat about our upcoming Newcastle event on September 27 and Brooke is super excited to talk some more about their travel plans for 2018 (Mike and Inga were a huge influence on Brooke and Ben taking the plunge in 2018). They look at the logistics, the planning and the not planning! Welcome to episode 89 of The Mindful Kind podcast about cultivating self-worth.  This episode is a follow on from episode 87 of The Mindful Kind about dealing with challenging relationships. Something I talked about was how building self-worth can help us deal with relationships and I thought I would dive a little deeper into that in this episode! First of all, you'll hear some of my own experiences with having low self-worth and why I decided I wanted to improve it. I mentioned some books which I found really insightful and helpful on this journey, including: - The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown - Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed - Quiet by Susan Cain - You can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay Here are my two top tips for improving self-worth: TIP 1 // Stop outsourcing your self-worth Look at how you might be outsourcing your self-worth and choose instead to appreciate your personality, choices, individuality etc.  TIP 2 // Use affirmations Affirmations help us train our brains to think in new and more positive ways. For a great resource, check out Louise Hays website at: www.louisehay.com  My latest interview was on the Live Immediately podcast with Mike Campbell (episode 49).  And don't forget you can support The Mindful Kind podcast on Patreon at www.patreon.com/themindfulkind I hope you have a wonderful week, Mindful Kind!

If you are a long time listener of the Live Immediately Podcast or even if you’ve only listened to a handful of episodes, I am certain that you’ve heard me say, many times, that “time is the true currency”. It really is the cornerstone of Live Immediately. That we only have this moment, right now, to do the things we love with people we love. Many people have asked me about this notion of time, as they continuously feel busy. Through all their questions, the underlining theme is, “How can I reclaim some of my time back.” In this episode I talk about three simple ways to take back your time, three simple techniques that I learnt, or was forced to lean, that have been huge game changers for me. All three of these techniques are free and you could implement them into your daily life starting today. Let me know how you go and what you end up doing with all your additional available time. Today I’m thrilled to welcome our very first male guest to Rock Your Goals the podcast: Mike Campbell, creator and host of the Live Immediately podcast. His mission to Live Immediately came about because Mike, like many of us, was working a job he didn’t love and he was coming home at the end of each day feeling sad, frustrated and like there must be more to life than this. So he and his lovely wife Inga started asking themselves the big questions: “What’s important to us?” “What do we really want?” And biggest of all, “How can we make it happen?” And so they packed, donated or sold everything they owned and went on a year long adventure around the USA. In today’s episode Mike shares beautiful insights, personal stories and learnings from his adventures about how each and every one of us can connect with what matters most so we too can Live Immediately. We often get in our own way by creating stories in our mind that aren’t true. We think we can’t do something before we have even tried. We push our dreams and desires, our life, to tomorrow. But that day never arrives. The Live Immediately Podcast is about taking control of today. I have conversations with people who inspire me, who have taught me something, who have helped me grow and who are living life on their own terms. We dive into those big moments that have pushed them through the fears and self-limiting beliefs that hold so many of us back. I hope these stories encourage people to start today. Everyone’s journey will be different, but there will be no journey if we don’t begin. None of us have control of tomorrow, so why not do something you love and enjoy today? I hope you enjoy episode zero where I tell you a little bit about myself, the podcast and what you can expect.

A lot of Brooke’s guests over the past couple of months have spoken about making big life changes - travel, a shift in career or moving to a different place - but in every single instance these changes have been moving them closer to their Why. This is something Brooke finds constantly inspiring as she and Ben continue to make changes in their own lives, and she enjoys going deep into the reasons and the practicalities of these transformations. Today she chats with Mike Campbell, a fellow Australian currently house-sitting his way across the United States with his wife and daughter after donating or selling virtually everything they owned. Brooke and Mike talk about what his life was like only 18 months ago, when he was struggling in a job he was deeply unsatisfied with, his wife Inga was battling overwhelm and burnout and they found themselves wondering if this was really ‘it’. Unbeknownst to him, it would be a simple game that would shift his perspective to one of possibility and adventure. Cultural differences make our travels so much more interesting (if somewhat complicated at times!). In Episode 12 of The Thoughtful Travel Podcast, we talk about culture clash, and the differences we discover when we travel abroad. Stephen Henson has spent many years travelling back and forth to China, as well as doing business there, and has many tales to tell - today’s stories about the value of luxury and the importance of appearances in modern-day China are fascinating. Amanda then speaks to Adam Beck of Bilingual Monkeys about his experiences both on arrival in Japan some twenty years ago, and more recently when he has the experience of reverse culture shock when he visits his home country. Finally, she chats with fellow Australian Mike Campbell, who is spending a year housesitting his way around the United States with his family. He’s particularly shocked by one particular cultural difference between the US and Australia and Amanda finds she definitely agrees! Links:  Journeys with Stephen - http://journeyswithstephen.com Adam Beck at Bilingual Monkeys - http://bilingualmonkeys.com/ Adam’s new book, Maximize Your Child’s Bilingual Ability - http://bilingualmonkeys.com/maximize-your-childs-bilingual-ability-book/ Mike Campbell’s Live Immediately - www.liveimmediately.com Live Immediately on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/liveimmediately/ Washing the dishes Australian style - http://www.notaballerina.com/2011/05/washing-dishes-australian-style.html Follow-up post with more on washing the dishes in Australia - http://www.notaballerina.com/2014/10/unexpected-cultural-differences-how-do-you-wash-your-dishes-your-country.html Tweet me @amandakendle Hashtag #thoughtfultravelpod Chat on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/NotABallerina Show notes at https://notaballerina.com/12

First up is Mike Campbell, a fellow Aussie who’s currently spending a year house-sitting his way across the United States with his family. He’s learnt a lot about the differences between travelling as a couple and travelling with a four-year-old daughter.
