Pastor Chris preaches part 1 of our new series titled "Revolution of Hope" with a message from Luke 2:41-52. Even the parents of Jesus left a kid behind. Don't feel guilty, but there is much to learn from this classic story in scripture.

Today we are going to talk about Luke 2:41-52, which is still closely related to the Christmas story. Jesus is around the age of 12 and Jesus' parents assumed he was in the large group traveling with them. We know what happens when we assume, right? The music on the podcast is from John Nugent. John is a Chicagoland area musician who has been a real blessing to Tabor Church. Support the show

People who face the end of their lives have a remarkable humility. They have to depend on others. They are no longer self-sufficient or proud. Yet in their weakness they have discovered a liberating truth. It is found in 2 Corinthians 12:9. It’s one of those difficult passages where Paul, the writer, is struggling with an issue in his life that he is absolutely powerless over. He asks God to remove it three times. But God says, “‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” Have you learned to live a life of humility in the midst of your weaknesses?
