Elle Russ chats with Marian Clark - a Somatic Nervous System Coach on a mission to help women to free themselves of emotional overwhelm and create a life from a place of confidence and calm. After struggling for two decades with her own health crisis she experienced the life-changing work of trauma-informed somatic therapy and coaching. This approach helped her to see how trauma-induced inner beliefs and subconscious behaviors, such as people pleasing, perfectionism, and overgiving, were the result of a dysregulated nervous system that in her case led to career burnout, chronic fatigue, autoimmune, and toxic relationships. She now helps women to do this deeper work; to regulate their emotions and to heal their health. Learn more at Oonawellness.com   SELECTED LINKS: ElleRuss.com Oonawellness.com

It is set in and around Dodge City, Kansas in the 1870s, during the settlement of the American West. The central character is lawman Marshal Matt Dillon, played by William Conrad on radio and James Arness on television. When aired in the United Kingdom, the television series was initially titled Gun Law, later reverting to Gunsmoke. Gunsmoke - Serial 13, Episode 241 - 260 Title: Gunsmoke Overview: Gunsmoke is an American radio and television Western drama series created by director Norman Macdonnell and writer John Meston. The radio series ran for 9 seasons from April 26, 1952, to June 18, 1961, and lasted for 480 episodes. John Dunning wrote that among radio drama enthusiasts, "Gunsmoke is routinely placed among the best shows of any kind and any time." The television series ran for 20 seasons from September 10, 1955, to March 31, 1975, and lasted for 635 episodes. At the end of its run in 1975, Los Angeles Times columnist Cecil Smith wrote: "Gunsmoke was the dramatization of the American epic legend of the west. Our own Iliad and Odyssey, created from standard elements of the dime novel and the pulp western as romanticized by [Ned] Buntline, [Bret] Harte, and [Mark] Twain. It was ever the stuff of legend." A radio or television western is a series that takes place in the latter half of the 19th century and the early 20th century in the Western United States, which is styled the "Old West" or the "Wild West" and involves cowboys, cattle ranchers, miners, farmers, Native Americans, Spaniards, swords, guns, and horses. It was the most popular genre of a show in the 1950s and 1960s when several hundred were aired. Gunsmoke - The radio show first aired on April 26, 1952 and ran until June 18, 1961 on the CBS radio network. The series starred William Conrad as Marshal Matt Dillon, Howard McNear as Doc Charles Adams, Georgia Ellis as Kitty Russell, and Parley Baer as Deputy Chester Proudfoot. Doc's first name and Chester's last name were changed for the television program. Gunsmoke was notable for its critically acclaimed cast and writing, and is commonly regarded as one of the finest old time radio shows. Some listeners (such as old time radio expert John Dunning) have argued that the radio version of Gunsmoke was far more realistic than the television program. Episodes were aimed at adults, and featured some of the most explicit content of the day.TODAY'S SHOW: Double Feature -  "Gun Smuggler" (01-30-54) and "The Badge" (04-26-59)January 30, 1954.
