Is Liz in a lavender haze? She's certainly not in her right mind in this episode, as she's torn between Todd and Joey. Will she actually make a choice between the two boys or will her nemesis Nicole (whose crimes have clearly been forgotten by everyone else at Camp Echo Mountain) make it for her? Meanwhile Jessica responds to toxic masculinity in the least healthy way possible, Lila continues a Sweet Valley tradition and Winston is dressed up as a cowboy against his will (the most entertaining bit of this boring book). It's the summer holidays (again)! And so the twins and Lila are off to Camp Echo Mountain, an absolute kip in the wilds of Montana. Liz can't wait to be reunited with her former BFF Maria Slater (who?) and mould young minds, but alas things don't work out as she planned - not least because Maria is joined by her current BFF Nicole - and when Liz meets her redheaded rival, it's "hate at first sight". Will she be distracted by alleged hunk Joey? Meanwhile Jessica swears off boys (well, she has buried three boyfriends by now, she needs a break) and Lila is determined to snag an extreme sportsman called Bo. The Wakefield twins are still at SVU - and it looks like they won't be coming home. High on her inexplicable success in the journalism competition and her own massive sense of entitlement, Liz is determined to shine at SVU - but she may be out of her depth. Meanwhile Jessica is so smitten by Zach (who is remarkably tolerant of her consistently unhinged behaviour) that she's decided to stay in college too #poorken. Can their pals persuade them to return to Sweet Valley High? All this and the return of the young executive! We all know that when it comes to journalism Elizabeth's favourite subject is Sweet Valley, so when she's inexplicably allowed to enter a college feature writing competition on student life, she's stumped for an angle. Luckily for us, but unfortunately for her rivals, she finds the perfect topic for her hilariously ignorant yet sanctimonious style! Meanwhile Jessica continues to date Zach (#poorKen) and spin him a web of lies. But her romance may destroy her chance to become a Theta (in two whole years). While Billie enables Jessica's nonsense, Steven is losing patience with his house guests - and seriously who can blame him? We're still in London, and things are getting (literally) hairy for the twins. After a brutal murder takes place at Pembroke Manor, Elizabeth is even more convinced that the serial killer is a werewolf. She decides to do some solo snooping - and makes a truly startling discovery (after stealing evidence from a crime scene). Meanwhile Jessica, worryingly unbothered by seeing a mutilated corpse in her own bed, has a scary experience in Knightsbridge tube station, multiple minor characters talk about the importance of honesty (yawn), and Luke reads his werewolf poetry. Oh yes. Don't be a naff narg me old chinas, join us in London town! This show is part of the HeadStuff Podcast Network. Surprise surprise, it's still mostly Ned! But poor old Liz is convinced that she's responsible for the fall of the Casa del Wakefield, and the guilt has sent her into a quite a state. Having lost her faith in love, she's ignoring Enid's sensible advice, pushing away Todd, going on dates with boys she doesn't like - and worst of all, she's even letting down Mr Collins (he's back!). Meanwhile Jessica, who doesn't care about the implosion of her family at all, finally meets the mysterious Charlie - but is he the real deal? All this and a fancy dress party with some incredible ensembles! Watch out Sweet Valley! There's a new Liz Wakefield in town - and she's got a surfboard. Yes, not content with her daring new non-permanent perm, Liz's determination to prove that she's not boring leads her to start secret surfing lessons. Her teenage teacher Sean wants Liz to win a surfing competition in order to win a bet - but his interest in Liz soon becomes more personal (and yes, he's yet another boy who doesn't take no for an answer). But when Todd doubts Liz's frankly unconvincing cover story, she starts wondering if her campaign to show her adventurous side is worth it (spoiler: no). Meanwhile Jessica embarks on a new campaign of "boutique terrorism" (surely the title of the debut Droids album) to get revenge on Caroline Pearce - who comes with a little revenge plan of her own. Also, we have a very special announcement - are you ready to join Pi Beta Alpha? This show is part of the HeadStuff Podcast Network. Patty Gilbert's looking forward to seeing her boyfriend Jim for the first time in weeks - but when Patty's sister Jana returns home with the news that she's getting married in, like, five minutes, Patty's attempt to balance family obligations and romance leads to some typical Sweet Valley contrived drama. Luckily sensible khaki-clad Liz is there to provide sage advice. Meanwhile Jessica literally loses her mind in her latest unsettling attempt to snag a grown man when she takes the credit for DeeDee Gordon's fugly painted tee-shirts, and yet again there's no sign of our favourite Robert Redford lookalike. Book Club Episode 20: Dune Part 20 Aaron and David discuss the next two chapters of Dune. Paul finds himself inheriting Jamis’s wife and family. There is so much to Fremen culture Paul still has to learn. Harah throws herself at Paul but Pual only seems to have eyes for Chani. Meanwhile Jessica must undertake the ritual of spice agony to the dying Fremen Reverend Mother. Chani doesn't give Jessica much time to think about the ritual before she pours the Water of life down Jessica's throat. This probably doesn't get Chani and Jessica off to the best footing together and the waters of life are potentially dangerous to Jessica’s unborn daughter. Pour yourself a cold beverage and listen to more Dune, enjoy together responsibly! First of all, don't worry - this book isn't as dodgy as we feared it would be. Yes, Olivia Davidson, who seems to have had a personality transplant, is madly in love with hunky art teacher Stuart Bachman, but Stuart has no interest in her. Olivia, however, convinces herself that he does - after all, who could resist her funky new giant earrings? This is a scenario that could actually do with Elizabeth meddling with other people's personal lives but for once she decides to stay out of it. Meanwhile Jessica is determined to use her extremely poorly organised electronics class to humiliate Lila, Mr Collins gets the warm welcome he deserves and we end up with a genuinely exciting cliffhanger. No wonder this episode is ridiculously long! You can follow us on Twitter at @svhpodcast and follow the Headstuff Podcast Network on @HSPodnetwork and @ThisHeadstuff

Forget gambling and Liz's boarding school dreams - THIS has to be the most boring book in Sweet Valley history. And not just because it's all about John Pfeiffer (boo!). He's in love with Jennifer Mitchell, but she's in love with Rick Andover, who is a would-be rock star all of a sudden. We don't care about either of them, but Liz does, because as usual she just can't help sticking her nose into other people's business. Meanwhile Jessica is back to her old manipulative ways - get out while you can, A.J.! The classic sitcom was wrong - three's definitely not company, as poor old Enid finds out when Elizabeth's childhood best friend Amy Sutton moves back to town. Meanwhile Jessica uses her new agony aunt powers for evil, Lila displays a frankly worrying obsession with her hunky cousin, and a fancy dress party inspires some amazing - and amazingly boring - ensembles. **TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE** We're back! And there's a lot to talk about as this week Sweet Valley is shaken by the arrival of glamorous Suzanne Devlin. Is she, as the title suggests, too good to be true (spoiler alert: yes)? Meanwhile Jessica heads to New Yoik City to hang out with the '80s equivalent of Lena Dunham and her mates. And if that wasn't enough, there's also Winston going into full stalker mode, a missing lavalier and a scantily dressed Mr Collins. Oh yes. Join the Defenders for the Marvel's Jessica Jones S01E09 AKA Sin Bin Podcast to hear our in depth discussion about this episode. This week we discuss a power play by Hogarth's partner Pam, a pill fueled power boost for Officer Simpson, a display of power by Jessica and an attempted removal of Kilgrave's abilities in a hermetically sealed room. Synopsis for Jessica Jones S01E09 AKA Sin Bin Podcast After the explosion outside Jessica's childhood home, Simpson (Wil Traval) is rushed to hospital requesting to be seen by a Doctor Kozlov (Thomas Kopache) in a last ditch hope to save him from his injuries. As he begins to respond to the Doctor's treatment he is told to follow a course of red, white and blue medication that may prove to be kill or cure for the former special ops soldier. Meanwhile Jessica (Krysten Ritter) has Kilgrave (David Tennant) secured in the hermetically sealed chamber located on the edge of the city, as she interrogates him to extract a confession for the murder of Hope's parents and provide evidence of mind control. As she becomes more desperate for answers her techniques are called into question by Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss) who seems to have designs on Kilgrave's abilities for her own ends. However, as more details of Kilgrave's past emerge from the video tape Jessica and Trish (Rachael Taylor) follow another lead that they hope will be more persuasive - Kilgrave's parents. But just when Jessica has Kilgrave right where she wants him, Hogarth's involvement complicates the situation. As Jessica's plans are thrown in to bloody turmoil a tiny fragment of realisation and hope is discovered.
