Escape into the peaceful atmosphere of a warm tropical rain with Calm Tropical Rain, a soothing soundscape blending gentle ambient music, calming tropical nature sounds, steady white noise rain, and subtle 8 Hz theta wave binaural beats. Soft rainfall settles over the tropical landscape, creating a smooth blanket of natural white noise as peaceful nature sounds drift quietly through the background. Gentle ambient melodies add warmth and tranquility, while 8 Hz theta waves encourage a deeply relaxed, dreamlike state ideal for unwinding, meditation, and peaceful rest.
There's something different about rain when you don't have anywhere to be.This is one hour of steady rain with a very quiet ambient soundscape underneath it: deep low-frequency tones, a slowly drifting Am–F–C–G progression, faint synth shimmer, and a subtle 6Hz binaural beat in the theta range. The rain stays at the center of the recording. Everything underneath it is intentionally quiet, there to give the sound a little more depth without turning it into music you have to actively listen to.Use it for sleep, reading, studying, meditation, unwinding after a long day, or just making whatever room you're in feel a little quieter.

What happens to the mind and spirit in the moments between waking and sleep? In this episode of Fridays Are for the Lord, Ed Mabrie of Faith By Reason joins the Nephilim Death Squad crew for a wide-ranging discussion about spiritual warfare, sleep paralysis, nighttime anxiety, brainwave frequencies, prayer, generational blessings, and forgiveness.Ed explains why he believes spiritual attacks often intensify when people are falling asleep, waking up, or experiencing the vulnerable mental state associated with dreams. The conversation explores the conscious and unconscious mind, alpha, beta, theta, and delta states, the “veil” between the physical and spiritual realms, 3 A.M. awakenings, night terrors, and whether tools commonly associated with binaural beats or New Age spirituality can be redirected toward biblical meditation, Scripture, and spiritual preparedness. The discussion then turns to morning routines, social media overload, intrusive thoughts, fear, and anxiety. The hosts examine how Christians can distinguish ordinary stress from a spiritual attack, take every thought captive in Christ, pray repeatedly without falling into vain repetition, and approach God honestly as a Father. They reference the Psalms of David, the Sermon on the Mount, the Pharisees, biblical fasting, authentic prayer, and the danger of performative religion.Later, Ed and the crew debate whether prayer has a transactional or judicial dimension. They discuss Genesis, God's rest, David and Solomon, Jesus praying for future believers, salvation by grace through faith, heavenly rewards, obedience, praying “in Jesus' name,” and the difference between salvation and reward. The episode also examines generational blessings through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Esau, and the twelve tribes of Israel, along with spiritual inheritance, generational curses, and leaving children more than material wealth. The conversation closes with forgiveness and gratitude as offensive spiritual warfare. Forgiveness is presented not as approving evil, but as refusing personal vengeance and turning judgment over to God.What do you believe happens spiritually during sleep? Can biblical prayer, gratitude, and forgiveness change the way Christians confront spiritual attacks? Hi.This is a 1 hour deep meditation sound bath made with theta wave binaural beats, warm ambient pad tones, and singing-bowl-style textures for meditation, journaling, studying, relaxation, and deep inward focus. The main frequency element here is in the theta range, around 6 Hz, which is commonly associated with deep meditative states, dreamlike awareness, creativity, and that strange in-between place where the mind starts getting quieter but not necessarily asleep. The visual is a black-and-white spiral tunnel, which feels pretty accurate for this one.Not because you need to disappear into a void.Although, visually, it is making a strong case. But because this sound bath is meant to pull your attention inward slowly, steadily, and repetitively.Use headphones for the full binaural effect, or let it play softly in the background while you meditate, write, reflect, study, pray, or unwind after a long day.I'm not making any huge promise...even though I really believe in this sounds and practices and want to say unhinged things about transcendence awaiting you. Just theta waves, singing bowl textures, ambient tones, and an hour of space to go a little deeper.Binaural beats and sound baths can affect people differently. This is not a substitute for medical or psychological care.Best listened to with headphones or at a low, comfortable volume.Website: https://www.idiotmystic.comDiscord: https://discord.gg/dXKjhZrZmMInstagram: @idiotmysticTikTok: @idiotmysticYouTube: Idiot MysticFollow Idiot Mystic for more sound baths, guided meditations, sleep audio, and strange little places to rest.

Is your organization ready to govern every conversation happening across video, voice, chat, email, SMS, and AI tools? In this Big UC Update interview for UC Today, Marcus Law speaks with Dan Nadir, Chief Product Officer at Theta Lake, about how enterprises are rethinking compliance, security, and archiving for modern communications.Dan explains how Theta Lake helps regulated organizations capture, archive, and supervise communications across collaboration platforms, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, RingCentral, Cisco, and Workvivo. He also discusses the fast-growing role of AI governance, the risk of configuration drift, and why compliance teams need more than basic retention policies to manage today's digital communications. The conversation explores how Theta Lake's AI-native platform supports digital communications governance and archiving, detects risk across multiple channels, and helps firms prove that content has been captured and retained correctly. Dan also shares how the company is evolving its platform to support new communication types, AI interactions, legal discovery, and regulated customer needs around the world. For UC and collaboration leaders, the message is clear: as communication channels multiply, compliance needs to become more intelligent, more connected, and easier to operationalize. For more Unified Communications & Collaboration Tech News visit https://www.uctoday.com/
Join me to paint the MUSEDear One, If you happen to have a chronic stress or chronic health condition, please listen because this matters. The hours of your day are not neutral. They're counting on your body's clock. Hypervigilance over time wears the body down. You know this, but what you might not know is how much pleasure builds the body back. Pleasure is not a treat. Pleasure is a counterweight to pain. And here's why I believe it. Chronos. Chronic. It means with time. So if you have chronic health and chronic stress, it means you're living with it, inside of it. These words come from the Latin and the Greek. When it first began to enter the human language, it was not about a severity, it was about duration, the time it takes. Chronic, on its own, isn't something bad. It's what travels with you. But it's not a singular event. It's time itself. And if the condition that you are navigating is having an impact on your life. It's impacting your time. Not just the quantity of your time, but the quality of your time. So what if the remedy to Chronos and Chronic is connected with time itself? Think about this for a moment with me. Chronos connects with the brainwave of Beta, what I call busybody beta, and hypervigilance, and also the critic. The critic lives in Chronos. Chronos is sequential, the clock, the calendar, the appointment, the countdown, the quantity. Beta is the brainwave that runs it. Hypervigilance is what beta feels like from the inside when you live in a body that communicates to you about what it is experiencing in languages that are hard to understand and so unpredictable. When you're always scanning for what's next, what's going to bring on the inflammation or the flare, whether or not you feel like showing up for something that you've already said yes to. Small example, yesterday I spent quite a few hours feeling creative and lit up and informed. And then suddenly my computer was out of battery and I was in a public place. And I didn't feel like expending the energy to get up and plug it in. So I just closed it and just sat there instead. I was weighing whether or not it felt worthwhile to find the socket. Because when you're navigating chronic conditions, sometimes the simple act like plugging in a cord can feel like you don't want to do it. Are you, like I am sometimes, weighing every move? The weighing itself, the evaluation is not free. Researchers have measured what it does to a body over the years. And this buildup is called allostatic load. The wear accumulates. And so when we stay hypervigilant and stressed and in the stressful parts of the beta brainwaves over and over and over, it accumulates. It's a toxic load. Accumulation: Is a word that's been changing everything for me. Hypervigilance is not waiting for a flare. It's showing up in the good times too. When I'm doing things that I love, it's just there in the background. And it fills up peaceful times with stress if I don't pay attention. But there's something else. This one has to be chosen. Chronos is Predictable. What is not predictable is Kairos. Kairos is a choice. Kairos is divine time, God timing, supreme timing, synchronicity, everything in right time. Kairos, theta brainwaves, flow state, and the Muse. Kairos is about quality, not quantity. It's about opportunity, never too early, never too late. It's the opening. The space to breathe in between, or what I would call Tea with Muse. Chronos is spent. It's finite. Kairos, you enter and it's infinite, or at least the experience of it can be when you enter a flow state. Theta is the brainwave that's operating in Kairos. You don't just arrive there all at once. You have to pass through other brainwaves. You begin to leave the beta and you pass through the imagination of alpha and into the spacious mystical theta. And as you go. Hypervigilance and stress dissolves along the way. This also counts, especially if you declare that it does. Flow is what it feels like from the inside. Flow is the felt sense of the Kairos state. And this is where science is on my side and the side of Intentional Creativity. The researchers have a name for what happens to time in that state. They actually call it time distortion. It's one of the defining markers where hours go by and you can't account for them. You're so in the flow. You're in your jam. There's a theory called transient hypofrontality that says that the self-monitoring part of the brain quiets down during times of deep absorption. The part of you that is over hypervigilant, that guards, that worries, goes quiet, measurably quiet during Kairos. So when you're in self-expression, particularly things like drawing or painting or singing or weaving or digging in the dirt or cooking food, things that require intention you go into Kairos. When you're sitting with the Muse and letting her have her way with you. Two hours go by and you don't even know where they went. That happened just this morning. Coffee with two people I adore. We read poetry from my book, Tea with the Midnight Muse. We did the Mother Mary Oracle Deck and applied it to our health. We talked to the kitties. We talked about the roses and the tomatoes. I made a soup of everything from the garden. And the hours were gone and they couldn't even believe it. And I said, that? That's Tea with the Muse. That's what I want to talk about today. We traveled out of beta and we stopped guarding the parameter of our consciousness. We stopped listening to the Chronos critic who told us we must be productive. We entered the place where there is no clock. Instead, there's a cuppa. Here's the interesting thing, is that this time wasn't about healing something completely, not about overcoming something. When we come back out of it, the same conditions are waiting for us, but our perspective is shifted and we can bring magic out of Kairos into the Chronos. Let me tell you this, the pleasure time, the Muse time, that also is accumulative, just like the stress. The body, the heart, the mind, and the identity, they begin to fill up with a different kind of energy. This is why my entire day is filled with little bursts of chosen micro-pleasure. Chronos, Beta, Hypervigilance, Critic, Finite. That one writes by itself all day long, whether we consent or not, where Kairos, Theta, Flow, and the Muse, and the Infinite, that one only writes in us when we choose it, and also choose to be conscious of it. Kairos offsets days of bracing and worry for the worst. What if Tea with the Muse Is this life-saving as I've been saying it is all these years? You might ask yourself, why does Shiloh spend so much time on pleasure when the world is on fire? Because I know what's possible, because I've seen it for myself. I've seen people move out of chronic pain and into practices of pleasure that change our world. You know what? Chronos gets the clock. It's operating all day long. Kairos only gets what we choose and appoint. While you might think that 15 minutes of Tea with the Muse against the rest of the hours spent just fighting the onslaught of overwhelm and chaos: I challenge you to consider this is not just a lovely invitation. For many of us, it's life-saving. Pleasure is our activism. Kairos, like the Muse, must be courted. Kairos doesn't just arrive on its own, usually. The only times I've seen it come are through falling in love or worshipping at the altar of the Divine. Every other time, I need to choose it. Pain is inevitable, but pleasure is chosen. Kronos never has to be chosen. Kronos is chronic, just like the critic is chronic, keeping you scrolling and reminding you that time is running out. Kairos is a ritual. And while many of us in our community do prefer a giant canvas, in addition, take a walk and let the flowers speak poetry to you. Look out the window at the farthest point you can find and ask what color that is, if you were to paint it. Talk to the part of your body that hurts and ask what it wants. One of the people I was sitting with this morning is navigating a health condition and I asked her to ask that part of her body what the message was. Only one small thing came. But for me, as I sat with her and listened to the space in between the spaces, I heard a very clear instruction about a particular form of rest and I invited her to take that rest today - and she did and she's doing it right now while I do this. Information comes when you're having Tea with the Muse. So open the page and give the Muse of Kairos the pen. Ask What wants to reveal itself to you today? Do you believe me that a practice of pleasure could be the counterpoint of a lifetime of pain and could actually be, not just a coping mechanism but a practice to deal with states of chronic health and stress? I know it works. The only question is how much? Will you try? I will. I'll see you with the Muse. This is Curate Shiloh Sophia for Tea with the Muse podcast and I'm grateful to be in your life. Send us Fan MailBurnout often looks like a diary problem, but it feels like a nervous system problem. I'm joined by Cindy Hoch, a trauma coach, Theta healer, writer, women's circle organiser, and holistic time management practitioner, to explore what happens when we stop trying to “optimise” every minute and start working with our real capacity instead. Cindy shares how travelling with her family, home schooling, and working across time zones makes rigid routines impossible, and why that reality can actually teach us a healthier way to plan.We dig into the difference between classic time management and holistic time management. The first can make your to-do list look tidy while stress stays the same. The second asks what your mental, emotional, and physical bandwidth is today, what your environment is demanding, and how to honour your body as cyclical rather than constant. We talk survival mode, why creativity cannot land when you're braced for impact, and how rest can be the most productive decision you make. You'll hear clear burnout signs to watch for, plus the mindset shift that starts recovery: awareness without judgement, followed by permission to do things differently. We also move into practices that support regulation and connection, from yoga and breathwork to compassion-focused meditation and nature as co-regulation. Cindy shares how women's circles create a trauma-informed space to be seen and heard, and how cacao can support intuition and creativity, including the story behind naming her “Soul Balm” circles. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, behind, or stretched thin, this conversation offers a steadier, kinder framework for sustainable productivity and self-care.Subscribe, share this with someone who needs more space, and leave a review to help more listeners find the show. I had the great experience of sitting down with Jeralyn Glass, an internationally acclaimed opera star turned sound healing pioneer and author of Sacred Vibrations. Following the tragic loss of her son, Jeralyn transitioned from the stages of Broadway to the forefront of holistic medicine, discovering how crystalline sound can act as a powerful healing tool for the mind and body. From a scientific perspective, sound healing is rooted in the principles of entrainment and vibro-acoustics. Every organ and cell in the human body vibrates at a specific frequency; when we are stressed or ill, these frequencies can fall out of "tune." Jeralyn explains how coherent sound waves can physically interact with the nervous system to shift brain states from active Beta waves to restorative Alpha and Theta patterns. This process measurably lowers cortisol, reduces blood pressure, and stimulates the vagus nerve, moving the body out of a "fight or flight" response and into a state of cellular repair. We dive into the science behind Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls and how specific vibrational frequencies can lower blood pressure, reduce stress hormones, and assist patients ranging from veterans to those in hospice care. Jeralyn—who has shared her expertise on The Kelly Clarkson Show and worked with icons like Jhené Aiko, SZA, Bruce Lipton, Greg Braiden and Kobe Bryant—shares how to treat your own body as a "vibrating instrument." Tune in to learn how to integrate "Music as Medicine" into your daily life through simple humming, movement, and intentional listening. If you listen to the end, in the audio podcast version, not the YouTube one, you will be able to enjoy Jeralyn's amazing voice in five musical pieces (One being a meditation) ————————————————————————————————————— Also, there is a small but important correction I wish to make. Talking about the power of music and how it is often divinely inspired, the story came to my mind of how Naomi Randall composed the beloved hymn, 'I am a child of God.' Thanks to my fashion design focused mind, I instead said it was Naomi Campbell, who is a great model but *not* the composer of this hymn, bless her. For those who might be interested, here is how the hymn words came to the original Naomi: "That evening, I got down on my knees and prayed aloud, pleading that our Heavenly Father would let me know the right words. Around 2:00 A.M. I awakened and began to think again about the song. Words came to my mind. . . . I immediately got up and began to write the words down as they had come to me. Three verses and a chorus were soon formed. I gratefully surveyed the work, drank of the message of the words, and returned to my bedroom where I knelt before my Father in Heaven to say 'Thank you!'" Intellectual Reserve allows copying or downloading of the music and lyrics of the song for incidental, noncommercial church, or noncommercial home uses. I also mentioned the Christmas Truce. During the recording, which is not scripted, I could not remember any details about it, as this idea came as we were talking. However, the Christmas Truce recounts the story of German and British soldiers who sung together Silent Night at Christmas. During the editing process, I found a Sainsbury's advert made with the Royal British Legion, which accurately describes how the scene unravelled. I dare you not to cry when you watch it and think of how the power of music brought these brave young men together that week. In some areas, men from both sides ventured into no man's land on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to mingle and exchange food and souvenirs. There were joint burial ceremonies and prisoner swaps, while several meetings ended in carolling. Did you know that the key to reprogramming your subconscious mind is repetition? Your subconscious mind is the KEY to manifesting the life you desire, but it is likely already 'programmed' with beliefs that do not support your desires. From the day you are born until about seven years old, everything you were told, everything you observed, and everything you absorbed from your environment shaped your beliefs. These beliefs are deeply ingrained in your subconscious mind and can feel impossible to change… but what if I told you there is an EASY way to reprogram your subconscious mind? In this episode, I explain in detail how to easily reprogram your subconscious mind to manifest love, prosperity, health, and anything else your heart desires. Subliminal audios are a powerful way to reprogram your subconscious mind, but the one I created uses binaural beats, Theta waves, and advanced technology that loops the subliminal affirmation 1200 times in an hour to make them incredibly effective! I created a special subliminal audio to create a life of ease, prosperity, health, loving relationships, and spiritual connection – a truly 'blessed life!' To purchase The Miraculous Woman Subliminal Audio to Create a Blessed Life, click here. Key Learnings: 1) Your subconscious mind is programmed by your parents, your environment and everything you observed between the time you are born until about seven years old. The two things that impress the subconscious mind are repetition and strong emotions. 2) Once formed, these subconscious programs are hard to change. Even logic and evidence don't change them. Repetition is the easiest way to reprogram your subconscious mind, but it can be tedious. Enter the subliminal audio! These are audios that use music your conscious mind hears and affirmations that only your subconscious mind can hear. 3) To create what I call a 'blessed life,' a life of abundance, health, loving relationships and strong spiritual connection, listen to The Miraculous Woman Subliminal Audio. "Repetition is the key to reprogramming your subconscious mind. Subliminal audios are the easy way to do it!"

Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to introduce you all to: MK ULTRA, satanic ritual abuse, and organized abuse survivor, overcomer and whistleblower, loving mother, musician, writer, independent researcher of past and present history, and a woman on a mission to raise awareness about trauma-based mind control programs that have been hidden in the dark and to help others heal from the unimaginable: NoaidiBorn in Humble, Texas, into a family deeply enmeshed in the CIA's MK ULTRA experiments, Noaidi entered this world carrying secrets older than her own memories. Her maternal grandfather proudly claimed the family as one of the first Mormon pioneers to settle in Utah, yet beneath that lineage lay layers of control, exploitation, and hidden operations that would take decades to surfaceAt age thirty-four, the dam broke. Long-repressed memories flooded back - vivid recollections of her maternal grandfather's sexual abuse, interwoven with ritualistic ceremonies and the sickening exploitation of her childhood innocence through child sexual abuse material. When she found the courage to speak, her mother brought her to an Austin therapist, whose quiet specialization in MK ULTRA and ritual satanic abuse victims and survivors offered the first safe space for truth. This revelation ignited a relentless inquiry into her past.Yet even in the midst of such darkness, a light had always burned inside her. From an early age, Noaidi felt an unrelenting pull to understand who was truly in charge of this world. That sacred hunger led her, at eight, to embrace Christianity and become born again—much to the dismay of her nuclear family. She devoured the Bible throughout her teenage years, seeking answers in scripture. At twenty-one, pregnant with her first child, she followed her father's wish and entered a contemplative Christian church. There, through disciplined self-observation, rigorous meditation, and the patient work of seeing all her inner “I's,” she began the sacred process of integration. For thirteen years she labored in “The Work,” slowly gathering the fragmented parts of herself into greater wholeness. After this foundation, her path deepened. From this place of profound realization, Noaidi began offering spiritual healing to others. Her practice in Austin flourished; people felt seen, held, and transformed in her presence. It was during one such healing session that the final repressed memories of her abuse rose fully into consciousness, completing the circle of remembrance. She is the mother of seven beautiful children. Six were forcibly taken from her. In the shattering clarity that followed, she understood she had been used as a breeder within the cult—her awakened consciousness making her too dangerous to keep close. Her own family ostracized her and worked tirelessly to discredit the truth she carried.Deeper layers revealed themselves: experiments and programming conducted on Air Force bases and in underground facilities. She began recovering awareness of missions carried out in adulthood - her body and mind weaponized as a Beta sex slave and a Theta psychic spy. Remarkably, the very psychic capacities developed through Theta training became the foundation of her extraordinary gift for healing others. What had been forged for control could now serve liberation.Today, Noaidi has turned the full force of her hard-won consciousness toward a single, luminous purpose: raising awareness about these hidden programs and guiding fellow survivors toward healing. Noaidi's life is not merely a story of survival; it is a living prophecy of what becomes possible when a soul refuses to remain asleep. Ostracized, discredited, and targeted, she stands taller, her voice clearer, her presence more potent. She is the embodiment of awakened courage - the woman who turned the very tools of her programming into instruments of freedom. Through her healing work, her teachings, and her unwavering advocacy, Noaidi proves that no programming is final, no trauma is absolute, and no darkness can extinguish the divine spark that seeks to know itself. She is living proof that the greatest rebellion against systems of control is radical self-awareness, radical compassion, and the relentless choice to help others rise. In her presence, survivors feel seen. In her words, the fragmented find hope. And in her example, the world glimpses what it means to be truly free.

Ethereal Encounters - Hidden Grid of Earth, ETs & Other Realms with Rachel Vaughan June 28th, 2026 Special Feature - Pre Recorded Rachel Vaughan Bio: Rachel Vaughan is a child protection advocate, whistle-blower, researcher, and childhood survivor of satanic ritual abuse and Mk Ultra mind control. Including MK Ultra psychic Theta programming throughout childhood. In 2018 Rachel began participating in interviews, round tables, and public speaking engagements in her fight for justice against her childhood abusers and the authorities who refused to investigate. This included proving the existence of tunnels & bunkers she was sex trafficked through as a child in Adelaide South Australia. In 2024, after 18 years of campaigning, Rachel was finally awarded Victim of Crime compensation from Australian authorities for some of the abuse her father perpetrated against her in childhood. Despite this, the remains of several of Rachel's mass murdering Satanist father Alan Maxwell McIntyre's child victims have not been exhumed from two of his former properties by police. Rachel is certain this is due to the fact that her father was an ASIO (secret service operative) working on behalf of the globalist order. She often refers to her father as Australia's Epstein. Rachel suffers from diagnosed severe PTSD as a result of her nightmare childhood. Despite this, she is an eternal optimist & believes that we are immortal souls having a human experience who can attain peace and success despite our trauma. As co-founder of movement Ley Love Down, Rachel teaches others to utilise the Earth's ley lines to win the energetic war, by balancing out the nefarious activities of satanic ritual abuse in the ley crossing points by collectively expressing joy in those spaces. Rachel passionately maintains that the current ascension process of Earth, fuelled by humanity's collective spiritual awakening, is facilitating a change from the satanic system of enslavement into a world where we can truly be free to fulfil our soul purpose. Creating a paradigm on Earth we can be proud to pass on to younger generations. In this UC Today interview, Marcus Law speaks with Matthew Carey, Director of Product Management at Theta Lake, about why cloud voice migration is not just an IT modernization project. As organizations move away from legacy on-premises phone systems, Carey explains how the compliance model changes, where governance gaps can appear, and why regulated businesses need to think beyond basic call recording. The conversation explores how communications now span voice, chat, video, screen sharing, SMS, whiteboards, email, and AI-generated summaries. Carey argues that compliance teams need to reconstruct the full conversation lifecycle, not simply capture individual calls. He also discusses the risks of fragmented platforms, the limits of legacy recording tools, and the importance of involving compliance teams before users go live.Carey also looks at the role of artificial intelligence in unified communications, including why organizations must start governing not only what employees say, but what AI says on their behalf.Watch the full discussion to learn how IT and compliance leaders can prepare for cloud voice migration, reduce risk, and build a governance foundation that can keep pace with modern UC platforms.

Can You Cultivate Genius? The question is: can you cultivate genius? What do you think?First, a quote from my mama, Caron McCloud. She says, “I decided early on that I mattered.”Today's episode shares how my mom Karen McCloud encouraged me to cultivate my genius, why I think it's important for women to learn to cultivate their genius, and how brainwave shifts can show us what we do not usually see — including a meditation to access the theta brainwave for your insights, as well as an exciting invitation that includes Amy Ahlers. Hint: it includes the genius we share about money, sex, and influence. So here we go.Let's talk about genius, my friends, and why it matters. First, a question: What would it take to be able to say, I am genius, without qualifying or needing to prove? Most of us don't think we are. This isn't about other people thinking you are, but about cultivating a genius space where fresh thoughts can arise. The term genius comes from the Latin verb gignere, meaning to beget, to produce, or to bring forth. This same root gives us the words generate and genetics. In Rome, your genius was the birth spirit that shaped your personality, guided your destiny, and protected you throughout life. And I can't help but think about the word genie being the root of genius.Very little space is given to the development of our innate genius, and this concerns me. We need more women living in the fullness of their power. But there's a problem. We might not know this is a choice — that we get to cultivate our genius. It may never occur to us that we have a genius to access at all, really. Most of us have never spent hours, let alone days, watching what truly wants to come through us: an insight, an innovation, a worldview built to actually design our lives and relationships. The drafting table Mama gave meI want to start with a personal story that even now kind of blows my mind. Let me take off my shoes now and step onto the ground as I remember this.My mother Karen McLeod was a genius. She encouraged me to write and recite poetry. She bought me a drafting table for my 13th birthday and told me, this is where you work out your ideas. Draw here, paint here, write here. She said, I want you to think as if the thing you're thinking about could be life-saving for yourself and for others. I want you to treat yourself as if you absolutely matter. And the world will be a different place unless you inhabit it with everything you're carrying. She'd send me to my room saying, go write a poem and don't come out until you have a draft. She taught me to treat my thinking as if it completely mattered — and as if I did.If she hadn't given me that framework to explore myself, I doubt the thought would have ever crossed my mind. Because it's audacious, isn't it? It is audacious to devote an hour or a day to your own genius just to see what's available to you. That is what I'm doing right now with two of my genius friends. We are in a sister mind, each quietly working on our own material, then discussing, then back to the drawing table for a 24-hour cycle. This — the cultivation of your genius — is what I've invited women to do for over 30 years. It's what I've built a long-term business and community on.What if our brilliant ideas are in the future? And what if that future is just a few minutes in the future, and accessible — like, right now?Why We Don't Go ThereThere are reasons we don't create the time to cultivate genius. Here are a few.Ego. We're taught not to have an ego. Not to get too big for our britches. Not to be too smart.Fear. We're warned that if people knew how much sacred medicine we're carrying, we could be a danger to ourselves or others.Worth. In the same breath, we're told we aren't worthy, and that there's no real value in cultivating our consciousness. Don't be too big — but be big enough. Those of us in the business world get another script entirely: be more masculine, hustle, grasp, win at all costs, even at cost to yourself. Experiences like hustle and win are almost a deadening place for genius. Genius doesn't grow in the hard ground of striving. It grows in a field of wildflowers, where you lay back and gaze at the sky and ask questions of your own consciousness. And I think the most obvious reason we don't go there, into the space of genius, is simpler. We don't know how. We haven't been shown. We've been prevented from it, and taught to devalue it.Here's how. Access flow state within. Focused, intentional inquiry. That is how. Focused, intentional creativity. That is how.A Little Brain ScienceLet me show you why. Here's a little of the brain science, because it's worth understanding. Our brains move through different electrical rhythms, and each one gives us access to a different kind of thinking. Most of our waking day runs on beta — the busybody, alert, task-managing state. This is the ground of usual day-to-day being. Beta is where we answer emails and cross things off lists. It's useful, but it's narrow. It can only show us a certain number of things, and we can come to think beta is the only place there is — just like we think we are only so smart, and that's how we're born. The issue isn't beta. It's in not knowing how to get out of it into new territory. When we soften and let the mind open, we can visit the bridge to alpha — the relaxed, imaginative, daydreaming state. This is the bridge. It's the gentle threshold between doing and receiving, the en route that takes us into possibility. We can feel the change in our body as our brain loosens its tight grasp on what there is to do and moves into presence. And just past that, theta — the slow, intuitive, dreamlike rhythm we touch as we fall into deep meditation and self-expression. Theta is where the subconscious becomes available to us by choice, where we can even dip a toe into the unconscious. This is where the eureka lives: the vision, the aha, the change we want to make in the world. It's so often conceived here, in expanded possibility. But can we get it back into beta? That's one of our questions. Here's the curious catch. That brilliant idea is conceived in theta, and then we have to carry it all the way back to beta — back to the day-to-day world of action steps. Many people cultivate a vision for years and never find the steps to ground it. So in our community, we travel into theta on purpose, and then we consciously bring that realm of information back into beta, so we can take decisive action on behalf of the vision. As Gertrude Stein puts it, being a genius takes a lot of time sitting around doing nothing. I just call that tea with the muse. It's the pause that makes the cultivation possible.A Ritual to Try TodayIf you want to try it today, here's a ritual.Sit quietly and look out a window. Pick a point as far away as you can see, and fix your gaze there. Pretend you can travel to that spot while staying exactly where you are. Let your breathing deepen and lengthen. Feel your belly soften, and the space between your eyebrows soften too. Let loose the grip, smooth the worry lines, and begin to listen to your inner world. Then state your intention three times: I am here to cultivate my genius. I am here to cultivate my genius. I am here to cultivate my genius. And then you pause. You just be. You just listen. If nothing comes, say, show me one thing I need to know today. And wait. It may take time. You may need to return to this for a week or two.Mama McLeod says this: keep looking at the stories that we tell, and the stories that we don't tell, and take responsibility for them. Create a context that's big enough to live a big life — and then live into that context. Context provides a theme, and it provides a perspective: a way of going about living our lives as a great adventure, and making choices about what we want that story to be. A context defines, and provides an identity to occur from.So the answer is yes. You can cultivate genius by choice. I do. You can too. Let's do it, and teach the others around us. I'm right here with you — in the heart, in the field, in the quantum now.P.S. — Keep your eyes out…I have exciting news. If you're a woman looking for a breakthrough in midlife — in money, sex, and influence — watch this space for an emergent invitation from me and Amy Ahlers, my incredible coach and BFF for the past 16 years.Amy and I have been working on a project behind the scenes to serve women entrepreneurs and those in corporate spaces, to claim their superpowers of prosperity, sexuality, identity, leadership, and intuition. What if the anxiety, overthinking, people pleasing, emotional shutdown, hypervigilance, burnout, and relationship struggles you experience today… were never actually "you" to begin with? In this deeply personal and profoundly eye-opening solo episode, Darin Olien dives into the hidden nervous system programming formed between the ages of 0 and 8 that silently shapes our adult lives. Drawing from neuroscience, trauma research, attachment theory, epigenetics, somatic healing, and his own emotional breakthroughs, Darin explores how childhood experiences become subconscious operating systems that influence everything from relationships and stress responses to chronic disease and self-worth. This episode is a powerful roadmap toward healing. Darin breaks down the science behind trauma, the ACE study, nervous system dysregulation, emotional patterning, and neuroplasticity, while also sharing practical tools like somatic experiencing, expressive writing, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems to help listeners begin rewiring their emotional lives from the inside out. What You'll Learn How childhood experiences program the nervous system Why most adult emotional reactions are subconscious survival patterns The connection between trauma, stress hormones, and chronic disease How the nervous system stores emotional experiences in the body Why people pleasing, hypervigilance, burnout, and emotional shutdown develop The science behind neuroplasticity and rewiring the brain What the ACE Study revealed about childhood trauma and adult health How trauma impacts the amygdala, hippocampus, and stress-response systems Why emotional patterns are adaptations, not character flaws How epigenetics can pass trauma responses across generations The role of somatic experiencing in trauma healing Practical tools for emotional regulation and nervous system repair They are not your identity. They are not permanent. And through awareness, somatic healing, emotional processing, nervous system regulation, and conscious repetition, those deeply rooted patterns can be rewritten into something healthier, freer, and more aligned with who you truly are." Galen Clavio previews the Little 500 races from Bill Armstrong Stadium as Bloomington gears up for the biggest weekend of the year — including the 75th running of the men's race. Galen is joined by two senior IU student broadcasters who will be on the call this weekend: Zach Browning (women's race play-by-play) and Nick Rodecap (men's race play-by-play). Zach breaks down the women's field, starting with Theta on the pole and the chase group behind them (including Teter, Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Melanzana, CSF, and more), plus how weather could affect race-day strategy. Then Nick previews a loaded men's race, headlined by Cutters' dominant spring series and Black Key Bulls' quest for a three-peat — with SAE, Fiji, Sig Ep, and a deep group of contenders ready to make it a chess match over 200 laps.
