In the first episode of 2026, Margo invites listeners to join her in a conversation about beginning the year with intention—rather than pressure. Inspired by a recent Substack article by writer Suleika Jaouad, Margo reflects on themes of release, gentleness, and honoring the creative process over rigid resolutions and why this approach is so important for creatives. She also shares real responses from the Windowsill Chats community about what they're letting go of this year, from comparison and self-doubt to perfectionism and "shoulds." Margo explores why finite, manageable containers—like daily sketching, journaling, or mindful walks—can create scaffolding for a sustainable and supportive creative life. In this magical start to the new year, host Kat sits down with her dear friend—psychic medium, curator, and author Sarah Potter. As we step into 2026, Sarah shares wisdom from her life-changing new book, Sober Magic: Using the Tarot and Ritual in Your Journey Away from Drinking. Together, they explore the deep intersection of art and spirituality, discussing how to navigate the "party culture" of the art world while honoring your boundaries. Sarah opens up about her transition from full-time art curator to professional witch, the power of "Glamour Magic" to armor yourself for difficult social situations, and why asking for help is a brave creative act. Plus, we dive into a Tarot forecast for 2026! Sarah reveals why this is a "Magician Year," filled with manifestation power, and how you can harness this energy to create the life (and art) you desire. Whether you are sober, sober-curious, or simply seeking a spiritual reset, this episode is a nourishing guide for your soul.   Key Takeaways: Sober Magic: How to replace the "ritual" of drinking with nourishing spiritual practices like Tarot and altar work. The Art World & Alcohol: Navigating gallery openings and networking events without the crutch of a drink. Glamour Magic: Using fashion and intentional adornment (like heirlooms or specific colors) as spiritual armor. The 2026 Forecast: Why 2026 is the "Year of the Magician" and what that means for your creative potential. Embracing Discomfort: Why sitting with uncomfortable feelings is actually a superpower for artists.   About the Guest: Sarah Potter is a psychic medium, Tarot reader, and professional witch based in New York City. A former art curator, she now uses her intuitive gifts to help clients craft their dream lives through color magic, ritual, and Tarot. She is the author of Sober Magic and the creator of the Cosmo Tarot deck for Cosmopolitan. Her work has been featured in Refinery29, InStyle, and Teen Vogue.   Connect with Sarah: Book: Sober Magic Instagram: @iamsarahpotter Website: iamsarahpotter.com Substack: iamsarahpotter.substack.com   Mentioned in This Episode: The Witch Wave Podcast with Pam Grossman Create! Happy New Year! To kick off the year with a bang we're joined by Brit Koch, an Indigenous educator and creator who teaches rest, ritual, and resistance, for a grounded conversation on decolonizing self-care and spirituality.Brit breaks down what “decolonizing self-care” actually means: moving away from the consumer-driven version of wellness (the constant “buy this to feel better” cycle) and returning to practices that are accessible, nature-rooted, and internally led. We talk about the line between appreciation vs. appropriation, including why white sage is a common example and what to do if you already own it.We also explore the recent history many people were never taught, including how Indigenous spiritual practices were legally restricted until 1978, and why that context matters when we talk about “gatekeeping.” From there, Brit shares simple, no-cost practices you can start with today like grounding, working with the elements, and reconnecting with your ancestry and lineage in respectful ways.Plus, we discuss how creators and teachers can engage in this work without tokenizing, and how self-care can expand into community care in a sustainable, meaningful way.You can find links to Brit's books and website here:Rooted RitualsReclaimed & Radicalbritkoch.comJoin our Patreon for bonus episodes, magical downloads, and unhinged side quests: https://www.patreon.com/demystifymagicPre-order Molly's book Mundane Magic A Lazy Witch's Guide to Hacking Your Brain, Building a Daily Practice, and Getting Stuff DonePreorder Mundane Magic & Join the Virtual Book Tour: Celebrate the release of Molly's new book with an exclusive online event on Feb 21, 12 PM EST. Most of us start the year the same way. New goals, new plan, big intentions. And then somewhere along the way, we stop…reset…and start all over again. But this year we're doing things a little differently. This year is about doing less, not more. Picking one or two things that actually worked last year and committing to them long enough to see real progress. If you've ever felt busy but not productive, or like you keep restarting instead of building momentum, this conversation is for you. You'll hear:- Why I think boring consistency is more powerful than motivation- How chasing too many goals keeps you stuck- Why cutting one thing out can accelerate your growth- Simple ways to measure progress without overcomplicating it- The importance of focus, patience, and accountabilityIf you're new here, welcome. If you've been rocking with me for a while, welcome back.So grab your drink, press play, and as always...enjoy your first sip. What did you think about this episode?--------------------------------

Episode 442 of Friends Talking Nerdy marks the beginning of a brand-new monthly theme: Renewal. To kick things off, The Reverend Tracy joins Tim The Nerd for a thoughtful and grounded conversation about Personal Ritual Renewal—the habits, routines, and small rituals we use to anchor ourselves in daily life.In this episode, they explore why rituals can be deeply calming and stabilizing, especially during times of stress or uncertainty. From morning routines and end-of-day wind-downs to personal traditions that give life structure and meaning, The Reverend Tracy and Tim The Nerd unpack how these repeated actions can support mental and emotional well-being. But they also tackle the less-talked-about side of rituals: what happens when something that once helped us starts to hold us back. The discussion examines how life changes—new responsibilities, shifting priorities, aging, burnout, or mental health needs—can make old rituals feel stale, burdensome, or even harmful. The Reverend Tracy and Tim The Nerd talk about recognizing when it's time to let a ritual evolve, how to intentionally refresh or replace routines, and why changing a ritual isn't a failure, but a sign of growth and self-awareness.With a blend of introspection, humor, and practical insight, this episode sets the tone for the Renewal theme by reminding listeners that renewal doesn't always mean starting over—it often means adjusting what already exists so it continues to serve who you are now.As always, we wish to thank Christopher Lazarek for his wonderful theme song. Entirely secretive, the talk is put on by Acts 17 Collective, referring to the Biblical book of Acts wherein we read about how the divine being is not like material things (gold and silver) but instead something far more valuable. Is this ironic or intentional? Many see this as the fulfillment of prophecy, but perhaps it is the fulfilling of pop-culture prophecy instead. Perhaps technocrats are playing and preying on 4 billion Christians and Muslims to run a scenario designed to strip away faith in the divine and parlay it into technology. A satirizing of eschatology? The tech-bros believe that God messed up and man can fix it by replacing organic creation with synthetics. Everlasting life can be achieved through gold and silver (material means) which will extinguish the real spiritual nature of mankind - the true gold that is ‘Christ' consciousness - and replace it with antichrist consciousness. In the process, vampires like Thiel will feed on your corpse. True eternal life begins with recognizing death and choosing to make the world a better place anyways rather than becoming a nihilist. It is the choice of Christ consciousness and of faith in what lies beyond. One often overlooked detail of the technocracy is the apparent obsession with homosexuality, transgenderism, and Judaism. Consider the gay technocrats of Thiel, Yuval Harari, Sam Altman, and the debated sexuality of Alex Karp. All but Thiel are also Jewish, as is Larry Ellison and Curtis Yarvin, the man giving JD Vance many of his philosophical ideas. In fact, Thiel and Yarvin created Vance and influence him through their Dark Enlightenment philosophy, which wants to replace governments with a techno-monarchy equivalent to the Christian concept of a NWO. Are their Homosexual practices recycling sexual energy to create synthetic life? Homosexuality is also a rejection of God's creation, which is why so many Jews embrace not just homosexuality but the entirety of LGBTQ. People like Sam Altman have placed the hexagram into his ChatGPT logo while he has unveiled an ORB device that is a machine which confirms your humanity. We need only recall Matthew 26 where the high priest Pharisees accuse Jesus of being the Son of God to which Jesus rejects such a notion and lectures them on the end of their monopoly over salvation. The tech-bros are the modern pharisees and they not only reject Christ, but intend to convince his followers to fight a Holy War, and then offer salvation from the destruction with their vampiric machines. Alex Karp has promised a 3-front war is coming and Larry Ellison did say that most of the advanced AI technology was coming from Herzliya Israel, not Silicon Valley, which would make it a brother to transgenderism which finds its home in Tel Aviv. If all of this is slightly more true then it means Israel is the beast and the Balfour Declaration of 1917 was the dragon giving power unto the same. This is probably why the Trump administration has given military roles to the tech-bros and held high-profile dinners for Silicon Valley technocrats who he is himself a slave too. Hence the cutting of his right ear as a result of an assassination attempt, which Biblically speaks to the servant of the high priest, which in the Church of Satan is MAGA.*The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. Hello Dear Wise Co Creators! I'm dropping in here as we cross the threshold of the completion of one linear calendar year and the start of the next with a ritual that never tires, and is like super food for our hearts, minds and spirits ... it's all about honoring and receiving from what you have already done, and using that energy to replenish yourself, so you can create from momentum as we rise up into a new year cycle vs. hit the ground running. I originally created this ritual episode in 2024, but I tuned in to it again today and I was like, must share this with all of you.! And invite you to take a walk with it, or journal with it, or just meditate, cook, sit whatever with it. This year more than ever, we need it. ENJOY!  Here's a little about the power of Honor: The energy and act of "Honoring" is one of the most powerful things we have access to, but that we often under use. Honoring is a form a love. It melts away the heavy feels, the judgements of not enough, the pressure to do more. It turns struggle into comfort and possibility.  We think of honor as something someone else has to give to us - when in reality we have the power to bestow honor upon ourselves, in a healthy way, with humility and dignity.  I invoke the super power of honor & this ritual every year at this time because:  I continue to see the power it has to open our hearts, lighten us up, fill us up and give us a way to start the next cycle radiant & clear, roooted in our enoughness. Doing this ritual at the year end start threshold really supports us to see and feel and VALUE the invisible things we've done PLUS see and acknowledge others in our lives for the invisible and important ways they show up. In this episode of Feminine Power Time - 258: The Year-End Honoring & Receiving Ritual - I'll walk you through this honoring ritual that I do every year for myself, 1:1 with others, with groups & teams, so you can really FEEL the honor, shining a light in these three areas:  INVISIBLE INTERNAL GROWTH: the things you can't measure but have made a signficiant difference, especially all the internal shift and growth, and the things you do that can go unseen but matter alot INVISIBLE IMPACT ON PEOPLE & PLANET - how your presence and care has made a difference in real people's lives and the frequency of the planet  INCREMENTAL PROGRESS - celebrating how projects, goals, dreams, reality shifts are more in form today May this ritual fill you up with radiance, good vibes and a deep sense of how your presence, care, devotion, and choices matter. With heart, Christine P.S. SHARE THIS EPISODE WITH A FRIEND + DO AN HONORING RITUAL TOGETHER. Share what you are Honoring in these different areas for this year. Use the words "I am proud that ... I honor that..." Reflect for each other._____ HAPPENINGS, TRAININGS, RETREATS  FLOW 2026: Vision. Co Create. If the beginning of the year makes you feel motivated to do all the things, this episode will help you slow that energy down and use it wisely. You don't need a full home overhaul to start the year well. What actually creates long-term organization is choosing a few intentional tasks you can repeat every year. For ADHD brains, doing too much at once often leads to burnout and unfinished plans. A small, focused reset gives you momentum without overwhelm. When you choose tasks that support your systems and habits, your environment starts working for you instead of creating resistance.I'll walk you through how to decide which tasks matter most, how to keep them simple, and how turning them into a yearly rhythm can make staying organized feel more natural over time. This approach helps you channel that New Year motivation into changes that actually last.If you want to start the year feeling clear, prepared, and supported—without overcommitting or burning out—this episode will help you create a New Year reset ritual that you can return to year after year. The Lord’s Supper is not a mere ritual. Nor is it empty symbolism. It’s the “Gospel made visible,” as Gerhardus Vos once said. Consider these six elements: (1) The Lord's Supper proclaims the substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 11:24-25); (2) it is given for our spiritual nourishment and growth and grace (John 6:35, 57); (3) it confirms our union and communion with Christ (John 15:4); (4) it renews our thankfulness and our commitment to God (Ps. 50:14); (5) it declares our love and fellowship with one another (1 Cor. 10:17); and; (6) it points us to the Second Coming of Christ (1 Cor. 11:26).

The New Year is just around the corner along with the tradition of making resolutions, which are usually promises to do something "more, better, or different." Most of us start the New Year with the greatest of intentions, yet by March (or even by the second week in January) we may not find ourselves so resolved. We revert back to old patterns and beat ourselves up for not sticking to our resolutions. Could there be a way to ring in 2026 that serves us better? YES! And it has been my New Year ritual for the past fifteen years. Many of you have joined me in this ritual, which is a co-creative process of reflection and intention setting over the years. The night of December 31st will come and go (and no one will remember what you wore) so instead of just trying to plan an epic evening, set your sights on co-creating an epic year!! I invite you to follow this step-by-step process and amend it any way that inspires you: PART ONE: Completing 2025 On December 31st (or around that time) carve out at least an hour of uninterrupted time for yourself. Create the mood – get comfy, quiet, light a candle, put on some music. Begin by writing in a journal your "Year in Review." Month by month recall events that happened, people you met, places you visited, lessons you learned, accomplishments, blessings, struggles, funny moments and so on. What is so great about looking at the year in this way is that you are able to notice how you have grown and express gratitude for all your learnings. After you have gone through the year, consider the behaviors, beliefs or habits that you'd like to leave behind. We all have our regrets, bad habits, and learning experiences; yet, a lot of us tend to cling to them much longer than we need to. On a separate sheet of paper, write down what you would like to leave behind in 2025. For example: being obsessed with an ex, bad eating habits, going to bed too late, limiting beliefs, repetitive/disruptive thoughts, overuse of social media, consistent self-scrutiny, road rage and so on. When you complete this list, burn it or rip it up into tiny pieces to really let it go! If you so choose, share your year in review with someone close to you. See what they recall, reminisce, and share a couple laughs. (Optional) Make a toast to the end of the year. Say a prayer of gratitude for 2025, declare you are letting it go, and toast to releasing anything that no longer serves you. PART TWO: Co-Creating 2026 Begin to co-create/manifest 2026. Light a new candle, set the mood. Meditate for at least five minutes using the guided meditation included in this episode. Meditation is important to do before you begin to manifest so you create and visualize from the authentic self rather than the ego. After your meditation is complete and you are tuned into your most authentic channel, you are ready to start visioning your 2026! Begin by getting a blank sheet of unlined paper. Write at the top: "This or something better for the highest good of all concerned. And so it is." Without thinking or analyzing, write down anything and everything that comes to mind that you would like to co-create/manifest in 2026. Be specific, be creative and think big; however, your list should be at least 70 percent possible and believable. Write until your brain is empty – don't worry about being greedy! The Universe loves to be generous!!! Important: write everything in present tense using "I am" and use verbs to enthusiastically and specifically express what you want. For instance, "I am joyfully and easily securing a new job that is professionally fulfilling and offers me the opportunity to do what I love." Include how you will FEEL - this is crucial because we're actually chasing the feeling, not just the goal. Choose a place to display your list where you can see it regularly and treat it as something sacred. Better yet, record yourself reading your list aloud with feeling and emotion - your own voice is hypnotic. Listen to this recording daily, multiple times a day if possible. Create a playlist of 3-5 songs (at least 20 minutes) that make you feel enlivened, connected to your purpose, and energized for the future. Choose forward-thinking songs that uplift you, not songs that make you nostalgic or sad. Listen to this playlist frequently - ideally while taking a walk and listening to your recorded manifestation audio. Frequently throughout the year, review your list (every day is ideal). Read what you wrote aloud and feel free to add to it. January 1st is not the only day of the year in which you can call in what you want! Believe in the possibility of your manifestation power. Observe with gratitude as things in your life begin to manifest. Celebrate AND do not beat yourself up or get discouraged over what is not happening. Focusing more on what is abundant in our lives ALREADY is the best way to generate more abundance. Remember that sometimes our timeline and the Universe's timeline may be different. Resolve to live your life in alignment with what you truly want to manifest. Rid yourself of any emotional, mental, physical, or interpersonal clutter so that you can get out of your own way. Co-creating and manifestation takes action as well as thought and belief, so resolve this year to take steps to truly LIVE your best life. Love, Christine

One shot in the darkness. One moment of fear-fueled panic. And everything the expedition had built with the creatures comes crashing down.In Part Three, we witness the consequences of Jim McAllister's breakdown. Haunted by war, drowning his demons in homemade whiskey, Jim opens fire on a creature standing at the edge of the firelight—and triggers a siege that will test every man's sanity. What follows is a night of absolute terror. Rocks and branches hurled from the darkness. Horses screaming as they break free and scatter. The knocking—not the measured rhythm they'd grown accustomed to, but rapid, frantic, like a thousand hammers striking in unison. And underneath it all, a sound that cuts deeper than any threat: the unmistakable cry of grief. But the creatures don't attack. They could have. They demonstrate exactly what they're capable of—and then they wait. Sam insists there's only one path forward: atonement. Each man must sacrifice something precious. Something that matters. What unfolds is a ritual of exchange that will determine whether the expedition lives or dies. The episode follows the group as they split—some returning east with the journals, others pressing deeper into territory no white man has ever seen. Ancient forests where the trees are older than memory.Creatures walking openly beside them now, no longer hiding. And a meeting with the Wyandot tribe's keeper of history—She-Who-Remembers—who delivers a warning that chills to the bone: "No one who has entered that place has returned. Not because they kill everyone who enters. But because those who enter... change."Get Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteSupport Our SponsorsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.

In this Bonus Bri episode, Brian Beckner delivers a free preview of this week's Patreon-exclusive content—starting with one of the strangest and most unintentionally profound traditions in modern American sports: the Pop-Tarts Bowl. Joined by friend of the show and official Pop-Tarts Bowl Correspondent Zach Xavier, Brian breaks down the surreal pageantry, evolving lore, and outright ritual sacrifice of Pop-Tarts mascots—including toaster cremations, memorial jackets for fallen pastries, and a jacked “protein Pop-Tart” who refuses his destiny and escapes execution. But that's only the beginning. The episode takes a sharp turn into darker territory with a disturbing true story out of Austria: a mountain climber accused of manslaughter after allegedly leaving his exhausted, ill-equipped girlfriend to freeze to death near the summit of the country's highest peak. Brian unpacks the case, the prosecution's allegations, and what it says about responsibility, masculinity, and abandoning someone who trusted you with their life. Along the way, Brian riffs on: Why Pop-Tarts may be the straightest food ever invented The ethics of survival stories and cutting the rope The difference between “feeling bad” and being accountable The unspoken social contract of not leaving women vulnerable Bonnie Blue, Bali, and disrespecting national flags for clout The Monster Mash paradox (a song about a song that never existed) JonBenét Ramsey, new “evidence,” and why some mysteries never die This episode is funny, unhinged, uncomfortable, and very on-brand. Key Topics & Highlights The Pop-Tarts Bowl as the “People's National Championship” Mascot death count: now officially three Memorial ceremonies for previously toasted Pop-Tarts BYU vs. Georgia Tech (almost irrelevant, by design) Protein Pop-Tart with jacked arms escapes the toaster Why Pop-Tarts want to be eaten The Austrian mountain climbing case and manslaughter charges Gross negligence vs. tragic accident Why some survival stories are defensible—and others aren't Masculinity, responsibility, and not abandoning people Bonnie Blue's Bali controversy and flag disrespect The Monster Mash as a cultural copy with no original JonBenét Ramsey updates and enduring skepticism Episode Segments / Rough Timestamps Note: Exact timestamps may vary depending on platform 00:00 – Bonus Bri intro & Patreon preview 03:00 – What exactly is the Pop-Tarts Bowl? 07:30 – Mascot lore, toaster deaths & memorial jackets 14:00 – Protein Pop-Tart escapes execution 20:00 – Why Pop-Tarts want to be eaten 25:00 – Austrian mountain climber leaves girlfriend to die 38:00 – Survival ethics & masculinity 52:00 – Bonnie Blue, Bali & national disgrace 58:00 – Monster Mash theory 1:05:00 – JonBenét Ramsey updates 1:10:00 – Closing thoughts & Patreon plug Quotes from the Episode “The Pop-Tarts Bowl is the only championship with a confirmed death toll.” “Feeling bad isn't the same as doing the right thing.” “There are certain things you just don't do as a man—like leaving someone to die on a mountain.” Support the Show Bonus episodes available on Patreon:patreon.com/TheBallerLifestylePodcast Subscribe, rate, and review on Apple Podcasts—it helps the show more than you think. As the year comes to a close, many of us feel a mix of relief, exhaustion, reflection, and quiet grief—all at once. In this Wellness Illuminated episode, Dr. Lara May invites you into a grounding conversation about completion and why true healing and renewal cannot happen without it. Burnout is often blamed on doing too much, but what if it actually comes from what was never fully finished—unresolved stress, unprocessed emotions, postponed grief, or seasons of life you've outgrown but haven't released? From a functional medicine and nervous system perspective, unfinished experiences keep the body stuck in survival mode, quietly draining your energy. In this episode, Dr. Lara May explores the science and energetics of completion and guides you through a sacred pause designed to help clear burnout residue from your nervous system, physiology, and energy field—so you don't unconsciously carry it into the new year. This is not about resolutions or rushing ahead. It's about honoring what has been, so you can move forward with clarity, steadiness, and integrity. © Light Body Radio-Podcast, 2025. Welcome to our last podcast of 2025, where, as usual, it's time for our big Intention Setting Practice. This is our biggest and most sacred practice of the year. We will dance, move, feel into our hearts, and spill it all out on paper. Who do you want to become in 2026? This practice will guide your way there. You will set goals in four different areas of your life (home, mind, body, and soul) and you will also set a clear intention, affirmation, and word of the year for 2026. This is not about ‘new year, new you'. This has nothing to do with who society wants you to be. This practice is all about becoming the most authentic version of you. All you need is a journal and a pen. Let's dive in! The song Rachel dances to in the practice is called Township Krishna by Krishna Das and can be found here. To do this practice, make sure you have first done Processing 2025: A Ritual to Move On. This will clear the air of anything still lingering from 2025. And, From the Heart Podcast is now on Patreon, where you will find bonus content and ad-free episodes. Available as a support for the Intention Setting Practice, you will find a Guidebook as well as a Bonus Episode: Embodying Your Intentions for 2026 on Patreon.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.
