Reverend Chapman is the Pastor of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan. He is a graduate of Jackson State University, Jackson Mississippi, and has received Honorary Doctoral degrees from Natchez College, Natchez, Mississippi and Dallas Baptist College, Dallas, Texas.  He has served as Vice Moderator and Vice President of the Michigan District Baptist Association of Michigan. Respected for his knowledge, he is well versed in parliamentary procedure and served as Parliamentarian for the Baptist, Missionary & Educational Convention of the State of Michigan. Dr. Chapman is also a board member of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc., and Director of the Pastors and Ministers Division for the National Baptist Convention, USA Inc. He formerly served as President of the Baptist Missionary and Educational State Convention of Michigan.

Tellis Chapman is the Pastor of the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan, where he has served for more than thirty years. He is also the President of the Pastors’ and Ministers’ Division of the National Baptist Convention, USA Inc.  A much sought-after preacher, Chapman travels the country preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
