Prelude2. Spirit3. Endure The Sausage Factory 477 was edited by Chris O'Regan The Sausage Factory is an interview-based podcast that lifts the lid on the makers of videogames. It examines the way in which games are made by asking the very people who create them, though the questions asked aren't just about game design, they also cover how developers made their start and what inspires them as creators. Split into two halves, the first segment delves into what makes the developers tick by asking about how they started, what and who inspires them and what games they are currently playing, whereas the second part of the show covers the game that they are currently working on and the thought processes behind its development. So, if you really want to hear about a game's gestation in full and frank detail then you have found the right podcast.

We are done watching fires, now it's time to fight them… for profit! Is it possible that the “Surprise Me” button is learning? With the AI back in control of the game selection, our hosts have been tasked with fighting fires in this frantic first-person multiplayer title developed by Muse Games. Will Tom and Chris be able to work together to climb the ranks and become truly uber firefighters… or is it more likely that they get in each other's way, resulting in even greater chaos? Once their hour of allocated game time is up, how likely are they to return to fighting fires on their own time? Good news! Time's up and the controllers are down, so the only thing left for you to do is hear their decision. What do you think? Let us know! Chris O'Regan and Howard Tsao of Muse Games discuss at length, along with why people are drawn to indie games over and above AAA mainstream titles. The holy grail of multiplayer games is the creation of team based play that infuse a heightened sense of camaraderie between the participants , which is emphasised when in a LAN environment. Many games have tried to create this bond between players, some brilliantly and others not so much. Guns of Icarus by Muse Games is very much a team game and one that it has unique environment led design aspects. http://media.blubrry.com/caneandrinse/caneandrinse.com/sausage/TSF_Episode36.mp3 The Sausage Factory 36 was edited by Chris O'Regan
