I had the fantastic opportunity to wander around Northeast Trek Con 2018 here in Albany, NY. While I am admittedly not the biggest "Trekkie", there was no short of other geekery to rejoice in. I was able to make a few great connections and grab a few short interview from the vendors and media guests that made the trek to the great Northeast! Interview guests and all contact info available at http://videogamecrosstalk.com/2018/10/30/live-at-northeast-trek-con-2018
It's the Great American Pastime in Space! One of Deep Space Nine's most memorable outings has to be the seventh season episode, "Take Me Out to the Holosuite." Sisko accepts the challenge of a Vulcan nemesis in his favorite sport, putting the honor of the DS9 senior staff on the line! It's an episode filled with humor and heart and perfect to discuss during this time of year when the baseball season comes to a close with the World Series. We'll talk about what makes this episode so classic and about the one, true obsession of Benjamin Sisko. This episode is recorded live at Northeast Trek Con in Albany, New York. It is, perhaps, the best episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's first season and it's among the best of the entire series. "Duet" featured the story of a Cardassian war criminal to be put on trial by the Bajorans...or...does it? We'll look at the Emmy worthy performances of Nana Visitor as well as guest star Harris Yulin in this compelling drama about hatred, forgiveness, and change. Plus, we make a big announcement about Northeast Trek Con in Albany, NY on October 26-28! Plus, find out how YOU can win one of two weekend passes to this fantastic convention! And don't think we forgot this week's discount code from FanSets! Oh, it's all in Episode 152 of Your Independent Star Trek Podcast and we hope you'll give it a listen!
