At age 14, Sean Dunn as a crazy kid, had a moment with Jesus that changed his life. After a clear message from God that night he wrote at the back of his King James Bible what he knew to be his calling; "Contending for a generation" : Evangelizing to young people. In this episode you will hear his story about how that became his passion. His "MISSION TO A MILLION" is not only his goal right now, you'll hear how he plans to reach that goal soon.Click here for a REAL-TIME look at a map of the number of conversations and commitments right now TODAY all over the country. In this service, we’ll feature several movements from Clif Hardin’s Requiem, professionally recorded live in the sanctuary before the pandemic and debuted for this online format. Rev. Nancy will preach about the concrete and amorphous grief of this time in our lives. We’ll also prepare for the liturgy of grief and letting go that we’ll share safely in person on the grounds during the beginning of November. Our extend our offering will be for River Road’s Partner Church communities.
The message was delivered on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Dr. Marlin Lavanhar, Senior Minister, and Rev. Timea Nagy-Mátéfi, Special Guest, at the Humanist Service. DESCRIPTION Have you noticed how in the headlong rush to the future we often forget wisdom from the past. Former knowledge can be considered "out-of-date.” Yet, so many wise practices and understandings come from ancient traditions and people of the past. Perhaps there are times when we need to go back in order to move forward. This Sunday, our Partner Church minister from the Unitarian Church of Enlaka, Transylvania, The Rev. Timea Nagy-Mátéfi will join us as we draw wisdom from the roots of Unitarianism, as far back as 1568 in Europe, and from other sources of love and transformation. *Music: Sharla Ember, piano/soloist SUBSCRIBE TO AUDIO PODCAST: SUBSCRIBE TO OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL: GIVE A DONATION TO HELP US SPREAD THIS LOVE BEYOND BELIEF: or text LOVEBB to 73256 LET'S CONNECT: Facebook: Twitter: All Souls Church Website:

Spiritual Care Ministers are often said to have people in their “spiritual care” or to be involved in “the care of souls.” What is that in practical terms? The Rev. László Major, minister of the 350 member Unitarian Church of Dakt in Transylvania has been studying pastoral care this year as the Balázs Scholar at Starr King School for the Ministry. He will serve as Worship Associate and offer a brief reflection during the service and a longer dialogue after the service. The offering will go to our Partner Church in Transylvania, which our Choir will visit on their pilgrimage this summer. Rev. John Buehrens,Senior Minister Rev. Sermon delivered on Sunday, October 14, 2012, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Marlin Lavanhar, Senior Minister. SERMON DESCRIPTION Last Sunday, I changed my sermon topic to respond to a tragedy in our community. I want to thank everyone in the family of All Souls for rising to the situation and pulling together to respond with love and compas- sion. This coming Sunday, I will return to my original message from last week under a new title – a sermon inspired by my recent trip to our Partner Church in Romania. It was like walking back through 450 years of Unitarian history. I saw the rock upon which Francis David stood as he proclaimed his progressive faith in the midst of the Protestant Reformation and converted King John Sigismund to the religion that became known as Unitarianism. I also visited the place where the king and Francis David proclaimed Europe’s first declaration of Religious Freedom in 1568. It was a time of religious wars and conflict across the continent, and these men spread a vision of tolerance. What is interesting is how similar those times are to our times now and how their actions can inspire our own.
