Carl and Mike come back with brief thoughts on the WNBA scuffle with Caitlin Clark which Carl believes is not necessarily bad for the league. They then briefly discuss the NBA Finals, agreeing the Thunder are likely going to win due to the fact Tyrese Halliburton is dealing with an injury which may limit him in Game 6 and even possibly keep him out all together. They then share thoughts on how much the Hawks should be willing to give up in order to bring in the type of talent which could make the team an instant upgrade and turn them into a title contender.
Dan Zangrilli joins to discuss the Pirates pitching and if it should buy Cherington more time, how close is the team to contending, possible trade options, Joe goes off about Ke'Bryan Hayes, Joey Bart, Spencer Howitz, Nick Gonzales, Cruz's future and if he deserves a big contract.

We are chosen and called by God! Isn't that incredible? God wants to use us, undeserving sinners. Let that sink in. Pastor Johnny will declare to you that truth today. God chose you and called you to be a part of what He's doing in the world. He's called you to come alongside Him and be a part of His mission.
Have you ever argued with someone about something meaningless, like which ketchup is better? Some battles aren't worth fighting. Today, Pastor Johnny will remind you that God's truth is something you should stand up for. It's a battle worth fighting. You don't have to argue combatively, but stand firm all the same.
Philippians 1:27-30 NLT27 Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News. 28 Don't be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself. 29 For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him. 30 We are in this struggle together. Building on that, Peter shares some amazing stories of how he's engaging in this new phase as a teacher, equipping the nations to be ready for the outpouring as Spirit-filled Believers carrying the Glory with the voice of their own culture. Peter Snyder has been a missionary in countries all over the world for over 40 years, and in that time, Peter has watched the era of traditional missions work come to an end. As more and more people in the nations are coming to Christ, indigenous groups are now leading the way in spreading the Gospel in their own lands—hallelujah! So where does that leave us? Peter shares amazing insights from his recent trip to Mongolia and highlights the urgent need for spiritual fathers, teachers, and intercessors to help the international Church continue the work of the Gospel. We would encourage you to spend time examining the following Scriptures that shaped this sermon: .Sermon OutlineA warningA storyA patternA missionSermon QuestionsWhat three words does Jude use to describe the church in v.1? What do these mean?God saves us regardless of our state of life, yet cares deeply about transforming our lives. How do you hold those two together?Babel represents a reversal of our Edenic mission—and it continues in our world today. Rather than spread God's name across the earth, we localize God and "make a name for ourselves." For four four decades, George Monbiot has been one of Britain's strongest voices speaking out on the environment. After starting his career with the BBC, Monbiot is now best known for his books and his weekly column in The Guardian, winning a reputation as a tireless and passionate advocate for the natural world, as well as making plenty of enemies along the way. He joins James Fisher on this week's episode of the Country Life Podcast to talk about farming, development, nature and neoliberalism. Covering a huge amount of ground — from developers and corporations pushing their agenda on government, to how flawed farming practices have created monoculture deserts across huge swatches of Britain — it's a fascinating listen.• Listen to Country Life podcast on Apple Podcasts• Listen to Country Life podcast on Spotify• Listen to Country Life podcast on AudibleYou may not always agree with him, but his commitment to making the world a better place is fierce and unwavering. Personal Revival, Nation Awakening & Generational ReformationThe recent death of Pope Frances holds great significance and ramifications to the End Times. Many Catholics are contemplating the implications of this transition and it serves as a huge wake-up call to the masses. There are big prophetic shifts on the horizons for our times that we must understand. In addition, there is apostasy and deceptions we must openly address. Today's newest episode is for Catholics and non-Catholics alike. We are currently raising funds for our Sanctuary Building that we are building. This past Monday, worldwide media brought us the news that Pope Francis had died at the age of 88. Network coverage was dominated by this news, with lengthy pieces, hour-long specials and even live streaming showing thousands filing past the body of the Pope. Yet to come is the funeral this Saturday, in St. Peter's Square, outside the basilica where leaders and heads of state from about 170 governments from all over the world will be in attendance. With more on this topic, Crosstalk welcomed Mike Gendron. Mike is the founder and director of Proclaiming the Gospel Ministry. Mike was a devout Roman Catholic for over 3 decades and was taught to rely upon the authority of the church above all else. Mike searched the Scriptures and was amazed to find that what he read contradicted the teaching and tradition of the church he had been a part of for so long. He trusted Jesus as his Savior and now the Bible has become his sole authority in all matters of faith. Mike is the author of the books, Preparing for Eternity and Contending for the Gospel and has produced numerous videos with warnings concerning false teachings vs. the truth of the Scriptures.Pope Francis had a history of false teachings. For example, in May of 2013 he said that atheists would go to heaven if they lead good and honorable lives. In July of that same year, in the context of whether homosexuals could serve in the priesthood, he said that if someone is gay and searches for the Lord and has goodwill, who was he to judge? In November of 2015 he proclaimed that Christians and Muslims are brothers and sisters. In June of 2016 he said that all religions are different paths to the same god.
