Contending for the faith is done in word and deed. We must speak up and take steps to support the Gospel even when it isn't popular. In this episode of CPXL, we discuss two major themes in the book of Jude: Protecting against false teachers in the church and a call to persevere.

We stepped away from the Book of Revelation to look at the Book of Jude. Bad times leads to bad teaching, and bad teaching leads to bad times. We must not grow weary and lazy, but keep pursing the Lord and finishing strong!

Episode 2.52Two short books. One urgent message.Jude and 2 Peter sound like echoes of each other—warning about false teachers, moral corruption, and a church tempted to drift. But behind their similarities lies a sharp, Spirit-led call to courage and purity. In this episode, Zach and Michael unpack how these “forgotten books at the back of the Bible” fit into the bigger New Testament story. They explore their shared language, debated relationship, and the timeless message that faith must be defended, not diluted.Covered in this episode:– How Jude and 2 Peter mirror each other almost word-for-word– Whether Peter borrowed from Jude—or Jude from Peter– What their warnings reveal about early heresies and modern ones– 2 Peter's threefold defense: God's Word, judgment, and return– Why Jude quotes 1 Enoch—and how it doesn't undermine Scripture– The call to “contend for the faith once delivered” in an age of moral confusionTakeaway:Grace doesn't excuse sin, and delay doesn't mean denial. God's patience is mercy—but judgment and redemption are still on the clock.Find our videocast here: https://youtu.be/AONR9zZGLMoMerch here: https://take-2-podcast.printify.me/Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/reakt-music/deep-stoneLicense code: 2QZOZ2YHZ5UTE7C8Find more Take 2 Theology content at http://www.take2theology.com

To contend for the faith is to wrestle and endure in the daily walk of following Jesus. Jude reminds us that we must look to the past to understand how to stand firm today. From Israel's rebellion in the wilderness to the examples of Cain, Balaam, and Korah, Scripture shows us the danger of turning from God's truth and the importance of staying faithful to the calling He has given us. Contending for the faith requires endurance and focus. We run the race by looking to Jesus, the perfecter of our faith, knowing that He has already won the victory. As we follow Him, we are called to soak in God's Word, beg for His will, and walk in His way, allowing what we believe to be visible in how we live. In a world filled with confusion and darkness, God calls His people to wake up, push back the darkness, and shine the light of Christ wherever they go.Check out our video version of this episode: https://youtu.be/Spa3WGxQ32cSubscribe to our YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/8wmeCwBf_zkLearn more about us at chestnutmountain.orgFollow us on Facebook & Instagram @chestnutmtn_Don't forget to subscribe to this podcast, leave a review, and let us know what you think.

The Playbook HR2 10.15.25: College Football Week Eight Contending Questions by Fanrun Radio
Jude opens his letter reminding believers who they are, called, beloved in God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ. We have been bought with a price, not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ. It does not matter how far you have gone or how much you have messed up. Jesus has called you to Himself. His love is perfect, permanent, and unchanging. Once you are in Him, you are always in Him. Because of that, we are not saved to sit still. Jude urges believers to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. In a world where truth is being twisted and false gospels creep in unnoticed, we must guard what is true, not opinions or preferences, but the gospel itself. Contending begins on our knees. It looks like prayer, surrender, and bold obedience. Jesus has called us, loves us, and keeps us. He does not need wimpy Christians, but bold ones, driven by His love, who stand firm and live out the truth of the gospel. You are called. You are beloved. You are kept. Now get in the game and contend for the faith.Check out our video version of this episode: https://youtu.be/ZuisIyghRHgSubscribe to our YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/8wmeCwBf_zkLearn more about us at chestnutmountain.orgFollow us on Facebook & Instagram @chestnutmtn_Don't forget to subscribe to this podcast, leave a review, and let us know what you think.

Mary welcomes back Mike Gendron for a timely conversation about compromising the gospel and who is doing what to bring in a so-called unity that could deceive on a broad scale. Who are these, and what is their agenda? We specifically look at an event this week called "Communion America", organized by the NAR and designed to "host God" and "bring down the blood of Jesus" to "heal our land". A mile long communion table is the culmination of their vision for the "church of America". And what church would that be exactly? We show how this is more of a Catholic event than anything, but will the church recognize the wolves? We also discuss that ecumenical agenda that has been building and growing for decades. What is it about the political/religious meld that has many of us on high alert? The perilous slope of a compromised gospel ends with a gospel that cannot save, something the devil is fully aware of. A fascinating hour with a bold apologist. 20% DISCOUNT - Book Link: https://www.proclaimingthegospel.org/page/store#!/Contending-for-the-Gospel/p/141870007 Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
