Fellowship and communion are similar, but they are not the same. We look at how those differences relate to our interaction with God and others.
Growth happens when we commit to participate in a body of believers.

In 2023, far too many of us are choosing streaming over people. We go home, and we're tired. We've been with people all day at school or work, and those people have been extremely "people-ly," and so we stream something. But here's the thing about streaming or gaming: It will not energize you, it will not calm your mind or allow you to hear your heart or God's voice. We need each other, and we need to be together. In this message, Max Vanderpool makes a case why you should choose people over streaming more often than not.

Welcome from Central church of Christ in Winnipeg, Canada. We hope you enjoy listening to our Sunday morning sermon podcasts. We hope that the sermons uplift you and bring you closer to God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.
For a church to be all that God intended, its people must learn to be obedient to the commands God has made for it. The book of Hebrews has several of these commands —mandates about how we should treat one another. The book emphasizes the urgency of immediate obedience by calling us to act "today." This is a series of sermons on the church in Hebrews. Impacted? Let us know: Creekside.Me/Respond Miss a sermon in this series? Watch them all at Wilsonville.Church/Today

What do I want more of in 2023? 1. Nearness to God - draw near" [v.22] - When you draw near to God, you always draw nearer to God’s people. 2. Perseverance - "hold fast" [v.23] - We’re to hold fast to our confession because its content is true, verified by the blood of Christ and poured out to us in the gift of the Holy Spirit. 3. Stirring one another up - "to love and good works" [v.24] - What Christ has done should change things INSIDE of us in profound ways. But it also changes things OUTSIDE of us. By avoiding the gathering of believers, your faith becomes malnourished and your assurance withers away because you're neglecting the things that really matter. The goal is not to be legalistic in church attendance, but to be consistent in our priorities. What really matters? Sports, recreation, pleasure, leisure, or eternal things? We gather together, we reprioritize, we exhort, and we encourage each other because the Day of Christ is drawing near [v.25].

1. We are a body, not a building. 2. We are a family, not a free for all. 3. We are a kingdom, not consumers. ***** Sermon Title: What is the Church? Sermon Series: Encounter the Incredible 3 Speaker: Pastor Jeremy K. Lobdell Scripture: 1 Corinthians 5:19; 12:12-27, Acts 20:28, Hebrews 10:19-25
In this sermon Pastor Keith explains how through the gospel of Jesus we have a great confidence, a great hope to confess and a loving community to belong in.
This week’s question is: Do I Have to Go to Church to Be Christian? Those who ask this question seek to separate two things which normally run together – being a Christian and gathering with God’s people regularly. Or, in other words, if you are part of the universal church then you will gather with a local church. Peter explains.
Take a listen to Pastor John Daniels Jr. give incite on how to Live On Mission in our communities!
Habits are repeated behaviors that we do unthinkingly. The thing about habits is that once we form them, they form us. As the famous Ralph Waldo Emerson quote reminds us, "Sow a thought and reap an action. Sow an act and reap a habit. Sow a habit and reap a character. Sow a character and reap a destiny." So, how do we break out of old habits and break into a new ones? Listen in as Pastor Chris Kipp teaches on habits from Hebrews 10:19-25.
Christ's first advent opened the way to God and His second motivates us to draw near to the Lord, keep our hope, and encourage one another.
