Jesse Smith :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, May 24, 2026 Scripture instructs Christians to “always be prepared…to give the reason for the hope" we have, but how do we prepare to tell others about Jesus? Pastor Jesse South delivers a message based on 1 Peter 3:14-15 about sharing our faith, challenging believers to consider the reasons for our own hope in Christ, and leting that be a motivation for sharing the Good News with others. Jesse's message follows a recognition of and a prayer for many of Creekside's high school and college graduates. Worship music permitted under CCLI License #264436.

They discuss the UC Berkeley Creekside Center Renovation for the Disabled Students Program at the University of California, Berkeley, or UC Berkeley. You can see the project here as you listen along.Set within the core of the University of California, Berkeley, the Creekside Center renovation reimagines a modest, well-loved building as a forward-looking home for the Disabled Students' Program. What was once a fragmented network of dispersed offices is now consolidated into a cohesive, welcoming environment—one that reflects both the scale of the program, serving more than 4,000 students, and the evolving understanding of accessibility as a fundamental design driver rather than a regulatory obligation. If you enjoy this episode, visit arcat.com/podcast for more.If you're a frequent listener of Detailed, you might enjoy similar content at Gābl Media.Mentioned in this episode:Social Channel Pre-rollPromotes the YouTube channel, ARACTemy, and social handle.

This week on The Running Mullet Grayce and Eric - reunited again! We're breaking down the Hills Creek Endurance Challenge—a race that sounds simple until you realize it's just you, your thoughts, and the same 3-mile loop… over… and over… and over again. A scenic loop around a lake in Wellsboro, PA… mostly singletrack, just enough elevation to challenge you, and exactly enough visibility of the finish line to make quitting way too easy. This challenge allows you to pick your poison, giving you a 3 hour, 6 hour, or 12 hour option. Or, you can choose the relay if you have friends (must be nice.) It's not about distance—it's about how long you can keep lying to yourself:“Just one more loop.” Join us as we talk:Loop math that stops making sense after hour 4Aid station strategy vs. emotional damageThe psychological warfare of seeing your car every 3 miles Plus — how do you measure success at a race where the only rule is don't stop? Grayce and Eric are back together to discuss it all — the highs, the lows, and the very specific kind of suffering only a timed loop race can deliver. Because at Hills Creek, you're not chasing a finish line… you're negotiating with it.

This message reminds us that Easter isn't just something we celebrate — it's a truth that transforms us.He is risen. Brian welcomes Joey from Maryland, whose connection to the episode begins with a heartfelt voicemail about Bigfoot Country. Joey shares how deeply he related to the book's themes of childhood, solitude, and finding refuge in the woods, explaining that his own upbringing followed a similar path. That conversation opens the door to one of Joey's earliest and most unforgettable encounters. As a child in the mid-to-late 1980s, he was near a local creek when he spotted something extraordinary: a tiny white creature, roughly two feet tall, descending a tree. He describes it as chimp-like, juvenile in appearance, and unlike anything he had ever seen before. The moment became even more unsettling when the creature locked eyes with him, then vanished as it moved around the trunk.Years later, after developing a deeper interest in Bigfoot, Joey began experiencing other strange events in the same general area. After playing the Sierra Sounds near the creek, his dogs later refused to leave the porch while he heard eerie, chimp-like vocal responses coming from the darkness. About a week later, the activity escalated when loud, forceful tree knocks erupted near his home, sounding like a bat striking wood. Even his highly trained protection dogs were visibly shaken. Each time Joey tried to record the sounds, they stopped, only to begin again farther away.Joey also reflects on other unsettling experiences over the years, including being seemingly followed by dueling owls near the Potomac and, more recently in 2025, spotting an unusually large canine crossing the road. Throughout the conversation, Brian explores the rarity of juvenile, chimp-like Sasquatch descriptions and offers thoughtful caution about using the Sierra Sounds in the field. He shares experiences of his own involving multiple unexplained phenomena and suggests that these moments may heighten awareness rather than “mark” a person in any permanent way.He also points to dogs' behavior as one of the most telling indicators that something unusual may be happening nearby. The episode closes with updates on several ongoing projects, including a limited Sierra Sounds vinyl release with Ron Morehead, along with work on The Sheriff of Bigfoot Country, Koda's Odyssey, and The Bigfoot Journals.Email BrianGet Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? The Harvest Podcast | Episode 14 | Holy Hunger: Hunger for Holiness |In this episode of The Harvest Podcast, host Shawn Gray is joined by Rev. Pierce Drake, Lead Pastor of Covenant Church at Creekside, for a conversation about how God's holiness is revealed throughout the story of Scripture – in creation, in the tragedy of the fall, and ultimately in God's work of redemption. Together they explore how the beauty and order of creation point to a holy Creator, how the fall exposes the seriousness of sin and our separation from Him, and how in Jesus we see God's holiness and mercy meet as He restores what was broken.

The Gospel is not a disruption of the natural order, but a restoration of it. To a world living upside down in sin, the truth of Jesus Christ appears as an upheaval. In this episode of the He Said, She Said: Razor Branding™ Podcast, Jaci and Michael sit down with Andrew Burton—founder and President of Creekside Homes—who has spent decades turning custom home building into a brand of high-performance, beautifully designed homes in Northwest Oregon. Andrew's story begins on a carpentry crew in high school, evolves into building his first business at age 19, and leads into founding Creekside Homes in 2003—driven by a commitment not just to build houses, but to build homes that stand the test of time and deliver real value. In our conversation, you'll hear: Why strategic marketing beats “random acts of marketing” — and how Creekside committed to a 5-year disciplined plan instead of reactive tactics. The branding challenge of shared names (when “Creekside Homes” exists in multiple states) and how SEO, clarity, and geography help them win the right traffic and avoid the wrong clients. Why clear communication changes construction experiences—from weekly calls to photo updates—and what happens when homeowners refuse to engage in the process. The emotional side of custom home building, and why trust, transparency, and brand personality matter as much as design and craftsmanship when buyers are investing seven figures into their dream home. Andrew's biggest insight: that small businesses succeed by focusing on direct marketing, not mass marketing—and why hyper-targeting is the only smart path when your potential annual audience is 150 people, not 150,000. If you lead a service-based business, design practice, or any brand that involves complex deliverables and high trust, Andrew's insights will help you think differently about how you build—and how you brand what you build.
