Daily Dose of Hope June 10, 2026 Scripture: 1 Kings 8 Prayer: Lord Jesus, We rejoice in you. We praise your name. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the one who was, and is, and is to come. We cannot possibly express our gratitude in words. You have offered us mercy but you have also given us freedom. Thank you for that. Help us live like free people. Help us demonstrate your love and grace to others who cross our path. Help us see people through your eyes. We love you, Lord. Amen. Welcome back to the Daily Dose of Hope, the devotional and podcast that complements the New Hope Church daily Bible plan. For the summer, we are digging into 1 & 2 Kings. Today's reading is 1 Kings 8. This is a very theologically significant chapter so if you didn't get a chance to read the whole narrative, I would encourage you to do so now. We see God's promise to Abraham, Moses, and David fulfilled with the dedication of the temple. We see the normal pomp and circumstance of a religious building dedication but there is also the amazing presence of God, Solomon's genuine prayers, and words of both encouragement and warning. The Ark of the Covenant is brought into the Inner Sanctuary. This was a high and holy moment for sure. The chapter today discusses the presence of God filling the Holy Place in the newly built temple. The priests couldn't finish their service because the glory of God was so powerful. Obviously, we don't experience God's glory in the form of a cloud (I guess we could but I personally haven't.) We do experience the powerful glory of God in other ways. Because of the Holy Spirit, we can be assured that God's presence is always with us, closer than our very breath. In fact, there is no place we can go where God's presence is not. That being said, there are specific times in our lives in which we experience God's glory and presence in very real ways. These are times in which God's beauty, grace, and manifold goodness show up in undeniable ways and we know, "Wow, I've just experienced God." I have experienced God's glory in various ways. There are some times in which I'm sure God is showing up but I'm simply not paying attention. Other times, it is unmistakable–an answered prayer, a healing, a spiritual conversation or prayer with a stranger, special time with loved ones, a powerful worship service in which God's Spirit is almost palpable, hearing God's still-small voice, or even in the beauty of nature. When did you last experience God's glory? Share this with someone today. Blessings, Pastor Vicki

Visit the New Covenant Farm Initiative forums: https://richtidwell.com/community/NCFI exists to recover the Book of Acts communal pattern for our generation: a working agricultural community of baptized believers who hold all things in common, raise their children together, bear one another's burdens, and hold fast to their faith in Jesus Christ!"44 All the believers were together and had everything in common... 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts" - Acts 2:44-46WHAT YOU'LL FIND INSIDEOur online community is built on the Fluent Community platform and is home to two foundational courses as well as an open discussion forum: NCFI Statement of Faith — Begin here. This course walks you through the doctrinal foundations of our community: the convictions we hold, the Scriptures we stand on, and the faith that binds us together. The Book of Acts Model — This is the practical companion to the Statement of Faith. It explores how we live out our beliefs together — the biblical basis for covenant community life, how our community will be structured legally and financially, our daily rhythms, and the path to membership. General Discussion Forum — A place to ask questions, share reflections, and get to know others who are on the same journey.Taken together, these two courses will give you a clear and honest picture of what NCFI is, why we believe it is a faithful response to the command to "come out of her, my people" (Rev 18:4), and whether this might be the Christian community God is calling you toward.PREPARATION FOR THE MARK OF THE BEAST"And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:" - Rev 13:15-16The Church is commanded to move out into the country, and establish Book of Acts communities, prior to the Antichrist "Mark of the Beast" system being implemented. 15 minute cities are coming in these Last Days, are you ready?* "The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent's reach." - Revelation 12:14* "He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time." -Daniel 7:25* "When you see the abomination of desolation...standing in the Holy Place, then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains." - Matthew 24:15-16* "...those who are in the midst of the city must leave, and those who are in the country must not enter the city" -Luke 21:21Thank you so much for listening to this sermon and for your prayerful consideration joining the NCFI community! Send us Fan MailWhen your “instruments” fail in the clouds, your body can swear you're level while you're actually turning into danger. I open with a real C-130 cockpit moment where two attitude indicators disagreed and the only way to survive was to trust the right reference. Then I connect that to modern spiritual life: identity confusion, anxiety, outrage culture, distraction, and dopamine addiction can make truth feel optional and emotions feel like facts. The anchor is a warning and a promise from Doctrine and Covenants: you will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but if you are prepared, you will not fear. Preparation looks like standing in holy places and refusing to be moved. We talk about why holy places are more than temples (though temple covenants matter deeply) and how your home can become a holy place through prayer, scripture, Sabbath worship, better media standards, and protecting the Spirit at the center of family life.I also share true examples of people who stood firm under pressure, from the Danish rescue of Jews in World War II to the 2,000 stripling warriors who were spiritually ready before the battle began. You'll leave with a simple checklist to audit what spirit shapes your mind and your home, plus a direct challenge: remove one spiritually toxic influence, create one new holy habit, and turn your home into a sanctuary of peace. (Exodus 30:17-21) The brazen laver, the brass washbasin placed between the altar and the Holy Place, points directly to Jesus and the ongoing work of sanctification. Though our salvation is finished and received once at the cross, sanctification is a continual process that requires confession, self-examination, and reliance on Christ's cleansing power. The Scriptures: Leviticus 16. . . [20] "And when he has made an end of atoning for the Holy Place and the tent of meeting and the altar, he shall present the live goat. [21] And Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the iniquities of the people of Israel, and all their transgressions, all their sins. And he shall put them on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is in readiness. [22] The goat shall bear all their iniquities on itself to a remote area, and he shall let the goat go free in the wilderness. [29] "And it shall be a statute to you forever that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall a ict yourselves and shall do no work, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you. [30] For on this day shall atonement be made for you to cleanse you. You shall be clean before the LORD from all your sins. [31] It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall a afflict yourselves; it is a statute forever. [32] And the priest who is anointed and consecrated as priest in his father's place shall make atonement, wearing the holy linen garments. [33] He shall make atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make atonement for the tent of meeting and for the altar, and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly. [34] And this shall be a statute forever for you, that atonement may be made for the people of Israel once in the year because of all their sins." And Aaron did as the LORD commanded Moses." Email us at podcast@pursueGOD.org.Donate Now--The End of Gatekeepers: Understanding Priesthood in HebrewsFor many, especially those coming from a Latter-day Saint background, the word priesthood is synonymous with a ladder of authority—a series of offices, keys, and lineages required to act in God's name. In this view, the Aaronic and Melchizedek priesthoods are essential roles that men must hold to administer ordinances and bridge the gap between God and man. However, a "crash course" in the Book of Hebrews reveals a radically different story. In the Bible, the priesthood isn't a ladder you climb to get more authority; it is the story of how God removed every ladder so you could finally walk directly into His presence. The Tabernacle: A "Keep Out" SignIn the Old Testament, the priesthood system served as much as a barrier as it did a bridge. The Tabernacle was designed in layers—the outer court, the Holy Place, and finally, the Most Holy Place. This innermost room, representing God's presence, was strictly restricted. Only the high priest could enter, and only once a year with a sacrifice. As Hebrews 9:8 explains, this system was designed to show that the way into the holiest place was not yet freely open. The Problem with the Aaronic SystemWhile many are taught that the Aaronic priesthood is a necessary office for today, Hebrews describes it as a "shadow system." Hebrews 7:18 goes as far as to call these Old Testament regulations "weak and useless" because they could never truly clear a person's conscience. They were a temporary fix that became obsolete the moment the true High Priest, Jesus, arrived. The Untransferable Priesthood of MelchizedekThe most significant point of tension lies in the Melchizedek priesthood. In the LDS tradition, this is a higher office given to many men. But Hebrews 7:24 says that Jesus holds His priesthood permanently because He lives forever. The Greek term used here implies that His priesthood is untransferable—it does not pass from one person to another. If Jesus' priesthood cannot be transferred, then no other man—past or present—can hold it. Jesus didn't come to restore a priesthood for men to hold; He came to be the Priest so that human mediators would no longer be necessary. The Veil is TornWhen Jesus finished His sacrifice on the cross, the massive curtain in the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. This was God's "Emancipation Proclamation," signaling that the restricted zone is now open to everyone.Today, we don't need a human gatekeeper, a temple recommend, or a specific office to reach God. Because of Jesus, every believer is part of a "royal priesthood" (1 Peter 2:9). We are invited to come boldly to the throne of grace, not because of our own authority or a certificate, but because of the finished work of Jesus Christ.
In this message, Pastor Olubi Johnson explores the profound promise of Revelation 2:17 — “To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna.” Hidden manna represents the deeper nourishment God reserves for believers who press beyond the ordinary into deeper fellowship with Him. The teaching reveals that throughout Scripture there were two kinds of manna: the daily manna given openly in the wilderness, and the manna preserved in a golden pot inside the Ark of the Covenant in the Most Holy Place. This hidden manna symbolizes deeper revelation of Christ, spiritual strength for overcomers, and intimate communion with God. Pastor Olubi explains how the Tabernacle of Moses provides a prophetic map of spiritual growth — from the Outer Court to the Holy Place and finally into the Most Holy Place where hidden manna is found. The invitation is not for a spiritual elite, but for believers willing to overcome, pursue God diligently, and walk the Path of Life into deeper intimacy with Him.

We're so glad you are here! Thanks for checking out Sunday's message!-- SUNDAY'S NOTES --Title: A Kingdom of Freedom Last week: Ron said you have to pick a kingdom.Colossians 1:13–14 (NIV)13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.John 8:31–32 (NIV)31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Easter is not just an event we celebrate once a year — it is the hinge of history upon which every day of our lives is meant to swing. The cross purchased our freedom. The empty tomb confirmed it. The question is: are we actually living free?Romans 6:4 (NIV)We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.Jesus was risen and we need live like it.Galatians 5:1 (NIV)It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.Christ has set us free — that's the act. Stand firm — that's our response.Freedom is given, but it must also be chosen, walked in, and maintained. When Jesus died, veil of the Temple — the massive curtain separating the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place — was torn from top to bottom (Matthew 27:51). This was not incidental. It was bold statement written by the hand of God. The veil was a physical declaration: you cannot come in. Your sin disqualifies you. When it tore, God was saying: that system is over, Sins power to separate you from me has been cancelled.Colossians 2:13-14 (NIV)When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. Many of us are like prisoners who have been released but are still sitting in the cell. The door is open. The warden handed you the paperwork. But you have not stood up yet. Romans 8:1 (NIV)Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here! The resurrection did not just forgive us — it re-created us. Not only am I forgiven, but re created into something new.So how does this become my reality?1 Samuel 30:6 (NRSV)6 David was in great danger; for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in spirit for their sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.Dr. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones"Have you realized that most of your unhappiness in life is due to the fact that you are listening to yourself instead of talking to yourself? ... You must turn on yourself, upbraid yourself, condemn yourself, exhort yourself, and say to yourself: 'Hope thou in God'—instead of muttering in this depressed, unhappy way."We can't just be spectator to our own emotions, instead we must become a preacher to our own soul.ANTs automatic negative thoughtsRomans 6:11 (NIV)In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:11 (NIV)And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Galatians 5:25 (NIV)Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 2 Peter 1:3–4 (NIV)3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. My problems don't define Me, my failures don't define me. I am forgiven. I am a new creation. The Spirit who raised Jesus lives in me. My future is secured. I do not have to live the way I used to live. God has given me everything I need to live the life he has called me too. John 11:43-44 (NIV)Jesus called in a loud voice, 'Lazarus, come out!' The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. EXODUS LESSON 70 PART TWO If you haven't watched part one, make sure you do. Can't watch part two unless you have watched part one. Here's the link to part one ... LINK - https://lightofmenorah.podbean.com/e/exodus-70-exodus-301-38-part-one-the-altar-of-incense-and-the-bronze-lavar/ We're at Exodus chapter 30 and once again we find another example of verses in God's word that we might read once and never again. It seems like the detail has no transferable meaning for us now, today, and our walk with the Lord. So we "read over" the words and seem to say we don't need to understand this detail. But, we'd be wrong. This chapter is at the end of an amazing set of chapters from 25 through 30. It's all about God's Holy Dwelling place, His Mishkan Kodesh, or as its better known as His TABERNACLE which comes from the Latin meaning tent. As we have seen so far as we dig deep, as we put the Mishkan HaKodesh in its historical context, as we try and study the garments of the High Priest and the Priests, as we focus in on the Menorah, the Table of Shewbread, the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies in their ancient cultural context, we find a depth of meaning so powerful and so related to us today. The video podcast (I call it a vidcast) is in two parts. PART ONE ... is on the Altar of Incense and the Bronce Laver. Getting the foundational understanding of there parts of Hs Mishkan HaKodesh, we are able to see how this relates to our Lord, our Yeshua, God Himself who came to dwell with us. Once we study the specific events in Jesus' life as related to the Altar of Incense and the Bronze Laver, our understanding becomes clearer. To know the events in Jesus' life many time s we need to set them in their context in the Torah, the first five books of the Bible. PART TWO ... is on the meeting between Nicodemus and Jesus. It was a critical meeting and Jesus tells Nicodemus he and all Jews and Gentiles they must be born again. Nicodemus is confused. Born again? We must re-enter our mother's womb and be reborn. But, Jesus is talking about a Jewish set of requirements related to Tehveelah – טבילה or immersion or dipping or dunking or baptism in a Miqveh – מִקְוֶה or an object where water is gathered alike a bathtub of a pool. My personal picture of an ancient Miqveh at the ancient site of Qumran that was in use in Jesus' day. A modern Miqveh from Wikimedia It is related to the use of the High Priest and Priests of the Bronze Laver we'll study in part two of this two part vidcast. Once we put all this in its historical context things make a whole lot of sense. We'll learn that “being born again” was a Jewish concept so well understood in Jesus' day. Here's a link to study the idea of ritual immersion and where it came from. The idea of Jewish ritual immersion (baptism) is an unbiblical idea. God never commanded it or created it. Link - https://www.thetorah.com/article/on-the-origins-of-tevilah-ritual-immersion Also, in PART TWO we will study the census and the collection of a half shekel from each man 20 years of older; in other words from the Israeli army of those days. It seems likely that this tax was a means for soldier to pay a symbolic amount for his atonement since he had to kill in battle. It's almost as is God is saying, even in a just war, that life is precious, and even killing another, our enemy, in a just war, that God views this as necessary but against His view that all life is important. The half shekel is a symbol of the bigger picture that all human life is important in God's eyes even if it is a cruel and evil enemy. They were made in His image and likeness. It is a way for the Israeli soldier to do a real act to seek God's "covering" over the killing the soldier may need to do ina just war. The vidcast ends with God's directions on making His anointing oil and His incense. It is the last orders of God for the entire Tabernacle. The anointing oil is a perfume that is put on all objects and the High Priest and Priests. The whole Tabernacle was filled with the fragrance of God's anointing oil. God knows we can't see Him. But, in chapters 25-30 not only do we see His dwelling place and His priests but now we can smell the fragrance of the Lord as we come near to Him where He dwells with us. REminds me of us to be the fragrance of Christ to the world. We are to be His disciples which means we are to be like our rabbi. We are to a reflection of Yeshua to all. We are to be the Fragrance of Messiah. ASs God spread His fragrance throughout the Tabernacle so now Yeshua has His fragrance from the annointing oil on Him as Messiah. And, we are to be like Him and so His fragrance is on us so we spread it to the world. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. 2 Cor. 2:15-17 We end with the incense. The priest must burn incense when the Menorah is extinguished in the morning and incense it to be burn when the Menorah is again relit for the night as a light shining in the darkness. Our question might be is God using the cloud of incense to tell us He is here, in the Tabernacle, 24/7, dwelling with His people, and the smoke of the incense is like His Spirt among us? Perhaps. It seems to make sense. Ad our final conclusion to all this is all this is קדושים ביותר יהוה אלוהינו Kodesh Bayoter Yahvay Elohaynoo Most Holy to the Lord our God Rev. Ferret - who is this guy? EXODUS LESSON 70 PART ONE We're at Exodus chapter 30 and once again we find another example of verses in God's word that we might read once and never again. Part one is on the Altar of Incense and the Bronce Laver. Part two is on the meeting between Nicodemus and Jesus. We end with the incense. Perhaps. In this episode of Handmaidens, Harems, and Heroines, host Lynne Hilton Wilson explores the powerful and often overlooked contributions of women during one of the most sacred building projects in scripture—the construction of the Tabernacle. Focusing on Exodus chapters 35–40 and key passages in Leviticus, this episode highlights how covenant communities are built not only through priesthood leadership, but through the faithful offerings, craftsmanship, and devotion of both men and women. From spinning fine linen to offering precious materials, the women of Israel played a vital role in creating a holy space where God could dwell among His people. Dr. Wilson also dives into the meaning behind the Tabernacle's sacred design, the holiness of the spaces within it, and how these patterns point to deeper spiritual truths found in temple worship. With thoughtful insight, she connects the ancient world to modern discipleship, emphasizing how women's service, sacrifice, and spiritual power have always been central to God's work. This episode invites viewers to see the Tabernacle not just as a structure, but as a symbol of unity, holiness, and the divine potential within each of us.
The table of showbread and the menorah form the only pair of furnishings in the Tabernacle that is not symmetrical. What is it that these two pieces together illustrate? Join us for a fascinating journey into the Holy Place of the Tabernacle as we make some astonishing discoveries about the Word of God and how the believing Gentile makes a surprising appearance in the imagery of the Tabernacle. First up, they head to the Highlands for Glenrothan, Brian Cox's whisky-soaked directorial debut family drama—does it live up to its lofty ambitions, or get lost in the Scottish mist? Then it's Rebuilding, a quietly affecting portrait of second chances and fragile hope starring Josh O'Connor as a cowboy without a ranch. And finally, Wizard of the Kremlin—where Vladamir Putin is played by… Jude Law?! More on Judgement Day! Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error]. 5 For many will come in (on the strength of) My name [[b]appropriating the name which belongs to Me], saying, I am the Christ (the Messiah), and they will lead many astray. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened or troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place; 8 All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the [c]birth pangs [of the [d]intolerable anguish]. 9 Then they will hand you over to suffer affliction and tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. 10 And then many will be offended and repelled and will [e]begin to distrust and desert [Him Whom they ought to trust and obey] and will stumble and fall away and betray one another and pursue one another with hatred. 11 And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error. 12 And the love of [f]the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness and iniquity, 13 But he who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end. 15 So when you see the appalling sacrilege [the abomination that astonishes and makes desolate], spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy Place—let the reader take notice and [g]ponder and consider and heed [this]— 16 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains; 17 Let him who is on the housetop not come down and go into the house to take anything; 18 And let him who is in the field not turn back to get his overcoat. 19 And alas for the women who are pregnant and for those who have nursing babies in those days! 20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation (affliction, distress, and oppression) such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now—no, and never will be [again]. 22 And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would endure and survive, but for the sake of the elect (God's chosen ones) those days will be shortened. 23 If anyone says to you then, Behold, here is the Christ (the Messiah)! or, There He is!—do not believe it. 24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect (God's chosen ones). 25 See, I have warned you beforehand. 26 So if they say to you, Behold, He is in the wilderness (desert)—do not go out there; if they tell you, Behold, He is in the secret places or inner rooms—do not believe it. 27 For just as the lightning flashes from the east and shines and [h]is seen as far as the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 Wherever there is a fallen body (a corpse), there the vultures (or eagles) will flock together. 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not shed its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn and [i]beat their breasts and lament in anguish, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory [in brilliancy and splendor]. 31 And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect (His chosen ones) from the four winds, [even] from one end of the [j]universe to the other. 32 From the fig tree learn this lesson: as soon as its [k]young shoots become soft and tender and it puts out its leaves, you know [l]of a surety that summer is near. 33 So also when you see these signs, [m]all taken together, coming to pass, you may know [n]of a surety that He is near, at the very doors. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation ([o]the whole multitude of people living at the same time, [p]in a definite, [q]given period) will not pass away till all these things [r]taken together take place. 35 [s]Sky and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. 36 But of that [exact] day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For just as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, [men] marrying and [women] being given in marriage, until the [very] day when Noah went into the ark, 39 And they did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away—so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 40 At that time two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the hand mill; one will be taken and one will be left. 42 Watch therefore [[t]give strict attention, be cautious and active], for you do not know in what kind of a day [[u]whether a near or remote one] your Lord is coming. 43 But understand this: had the householder known in what [part of the night, whether in a [v]night or a morning] watch the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be [w]undermined and broken into. 44 You also must be ready therefore, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him. 45 Who then is the faithful, thoughtful, and wise servant, whom his master has put in charge of his household to give to the others the food and supplies at the proper time? 46 Blessed (happy, fortunate, and [x]to be envied) is that servant whom, when his master comes, he will find so doing. 47 I solemnly declare to you, he will set him over all his possessions. 48 But if that servant is wicked and says to himself, My master is delayed and is going to be gone a long time, 49 And begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with the drunken, 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour of which he is not aware, 51 And will punish him [[y]cut him up by scourging] and put him with the pretenders (hypocrites); there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.

03/29/2026 Rev. Jacob Kim Leviticus 16:1-10 The Day of Atonement 16 The Lord spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they drew near before the Lord and died, 2 and the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at any time into the Holy Place inside the veil, before the mercy seat that is on the ark, so that he may not die. For I will appear in the cloud over the mercy seat. 3 But in this way Aaron shall come into the Holy Place: with a bull from the herd for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering. 4 He shall put on the holy linen coat and shall have the linen undergarment on his body, and he shall tie the linen sash around his waist, and wear the linen turban; these are the holy garments. He shall bathe his body in water and then put them on. 5 And he shall take from the congregation of the people of Israel two male goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering. 6 “Aaron shall offer the bull as a sin offering for himself and shall make atonement for himself and for his house. 7 Then he shall take the two goats and set them before the Lord at the entrance of the tent of meeting. 8 And Aaron shall cast lots over the two goats, one lot for the Lord and the other lot for Azazel.[a] 9 And Aaron shall present the goat on which the lot fell for the Lord and use it as a sin offering, 10 but the goat on which the lot fell for Azazel shall be presented alive before the Lord to make atonement over it, that it may be sent away into the wilderness to Azazel.

Bhakti Yoga shines a light on a simple but revealing truth: not all priests are equal, and not all beggars are the same—their consciousness shapes everything. In this episode, Raghunath and Kaustubha share decades of experience traveling through India's holy places, offering humorous and insightful stories of spiritual teachers, temple priests, pilgrims, and street encounters that reveal how devotion actually lives in the real world. Some uplift, some obstruct, and some surprise you entirely. Beneath the humor is a deeper reflection on Vedic wisdom, meditation, and spiritual philosophy: when we become absorbed in externals—rituals, roles, identity—we can miss the essence of spiritual life. Real transformation comes when devotion awakens and Krishna becomes the center. This episode invites listeners to reflect on their own path and ask: is my presence helping others connect—or getting in the way? ******************************************************************** LOVE THE PODCAST? Many years ago I shocked my kids. I told them I could remember life without television! Yeah, I know you can't believe the reaction to that. It's inconceivable to them that there was ever life before TV. Well, I was there I'm afraid to say. Now, I've seen a lot of changes since we got our first tv. I think I was about five or six years old, and my dad brought home this little box with a seven-inch screen. My mother and I would, like, burn out our eyes, sitting next to it trying to find whatever was on in that little box. And if you didn't like what was on, there wasn't a lot of choice; there were not very many channels. Over the years independent networks began to develop and they began to have more choices. And then, cable TV, and then you got like hundreds of choices. And finally, along comes the remote switch and you don't even have to get up if you don't like what's on the screen. You just push a button! I'm really good at that thing! You just change the channel or turn it off. Of course, you might just be turning off a message you need. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "Needing to Hear What You Don't Want to Hear." Now, our word for today from the Word of God comes from 2 Chronicles 26. It's about a Jewish king, King Uzziah, who was a legend in his own time. He was blessed by God. He defeated the ancient enemies of Israel. He built these impressive towers. He had the most advanced army of his day. But, 2 Chronicles 26, beginning in verse 16, says this: "But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and he entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense." Now, you might remember that only a High Priest, a consecrated High Priest could enter into the Holy Place of God and do that. But, this is a proud, arrogant, spiritually insensitive act on the king's part. "Azariah, the Priest," it says, "with eighty other courageous priests of the Lord followed him in. They confronted him and said, 'It is not right for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord. That is for the priests - the descendants of Aaron - who have been consecrated to burn incense. Leave the sanctuary, for you've been unfaithful and you will not be honored by the Lord God.'" Well, it says, "Uzziah had a censor in his hand ready to burn incense, but he became angry. While he was raging at the priests in their presence before the incense altar in the Lord's temple, leprosy broke out on his forehead." And we go on to read that he had leprosy until he died, and had to live in a separate house. Here's a story of a powerful man, and courageous priests. He didn't like what he heard from them, so he just changed channels. He didn't get angry at what he had done; he got angry at the people who cared enough to confront him with what he'd done. Now, the important exhortation in this story is this: listen to your confronters. The more successful we get, the more we need them and the less we want them. The best friends you have are the ones who are willing to tell you the unpleasant truth about you; who hold up a mirror. So, how do you react to your critics, your confronters, your correctors? Think about your reaction to the suggestions of the corrections that you've gotten say from your parents, or from your spouse. Did you blow up? Did you walk away? Or did you honestly consider whether there might be at least some truth in what they said? Right now, God is probably assigning someone to be your confronter. He does that because He loves you. You need one. Who is it? Are you listening even if the news is hard to take? Or do you leap to the defensive and you shut down if you don't like what you're hearing? Your confronters may or may not say it well. They may or may not have the right attitude. But they may have a point. Listen to your confronters. They may help you avoid a crash later. I know you want to tune it out or turn it off when your confronters are broadcasting. But you need that news. Don't switch channels.
