Paul's Prayers for the Ephesians
Paul's Prayers for the Ephesians
How you think about the future matters, because how you think about the future affects the decisions that you make (today) and the feelings and attitudes you have. Among theologians, this is called ESCHATOLOGY. But make no mistake, the way in which the American church has tended to see the future (the world's going to burn, etc.) has affected how American Christians live out their faith. But what if the way we've tended to think about it or see it is NOT how the Bible presents it? What if the Apostle Paul, Jesus, and God's people of the Old Testament saw it a different way? In this message, Max Vanderpool unpacks some of the future-talk from Ephesians 1 and why it matters today.

Embrace God’s Word as Elder Dave Shumaker continues our summer sermon series in the book of Ephesians with the sermon, Spiritual Insight – Part II, based on Ephesians 1:15-23.
What does it mean to know God? What is spiritual insight? In the book of Ephesians, the Holy Spirit writing through Paul wants to give us a relational and intimate knowledge of God so we can know Him better. Embrace God’s Word as Elder Dave Shumaker continues teaches from Ephesians 1:15-23 in the message, Spiritual Insight. Three Spiritual Insights from God: 1. Understanding Our Confidence 2. Understanding Jesus’ Joy in Us 3. Understanding God’s Power Towards Us
How does God move you and me beyond inch-deep Christianity? The much needed answer to this question is given to us in Ephesians 1:15-23. Let’s ask God to open “the eyes of our hearts” as He transforms our lives when we worship Him this Sunday.
