ROC is back with our weekly Podcast along with our brand new Podcast host Shane Fredricks! This week the crew talks about struggling with our self-image and viewing ourselves the way that God views us.

It's the final podcast of the academic year which means that graduation is just around the corner. Each year ROC says "good-bye" to a group of seniors even as we are preparing to welcome in a new class of freshmen. Transition is a part of the life cycle of the ministry, but that doesn't always mean it's easy. Join the ROC crew this week as we discuss some of the changes happening and how we can not only trust God during these times, but even learn and grow from them.

It's the first podcast back after OTFC and we have a lot to share! Join in with the ROC crew this week as they discuss all that happened at Ohio Teens for Christ and talk about the OTFC theme "In Your Hands." How might God be able to use something that He has placed in your hands for His glory? Tune in and hear what we come up with.

We are back from Benton, KY and another awesome mission trip. Tune in and hear some of the highlights and stories from the trip. The team also discusses the importance of self-control as it relates to success in college and its necessity for the Christian life.

Humility... it's not a topic we discuss often, but it's an essential part of following Jesus. Most of us wouldn't consider ourselves highly prideful, but pride is one of those sins that creep into our lives, and if left unchecked can impact our walk with Jesus. What are some ways that our humility is challenged? How can true humility lead us closer to Jesus? How can humility lead others to know Jesus? At some point everyone experiences challenges to their faith. Whether it's a situation you're going through, or having someone else challenge what you believe, we should be prepared to respond in faith. What challenges have you experienced? How did you respond? One of Jesus' most famous parables is the "Wise and Foolish Builders." In this passage we find an important truth, that the foundation that we build our lives upon really does matter. As followers of Jesus our decisions can either honor God and His will for our lives or demonstrate that we are pursuing something other than a relationship with Him. This week ROC Student Alexandra Cunningham joins Dodger, Ethan, and Maggie for a discussion on truth. How do we discover the truth? What are some things that lead us away from the truth? How can we guard against being led astray?

It was a busy weekend for the ROC community in part due to the return of the Hotdog Outreach. Our tired, but faithful crew is back in the podcast studio however, to discuss effective vs. ineffective methods of evangelism. What works best when it comes to reaching out to others with the good news of Jesus Christ?

College can be a time of many hard decisions. Where will you go to school, what will you major in, what do you want to do with the rest of your life? (Just to name a few.) How can we be sure that we are making the right decision? What role does our faith play in the decision making process? Tune in as the ROC crew discuss all of this and more!

This week the ROC crew (Ethan, Dodger, and Maggie) discuss the implications of choosing to "get out of the boat" like Peter did in walking on water to Jesus. What keeps us in the boat? What does getting out of the boat look like in our everyday lives? What do we find out about God / Jesus when we do get out of the boat?

This week the Podcast crew tackles the topic of Unconditional Love. Because God has loved us with an unconditional love that should profoundly change our lives and the way we live. Tune in as we discuss what this should look like.

College students are some of the busiest people we know. How can busy people manage to maintain meaningful connections with God and his people in the midst of such a hectic time of life?

This week the ROC crew discusses an issue that hits close to home for a lot of us. Isolation and loneliness. Why is prolonged isolation bad for us and how can our faith communities be an important part of helping people get through times of loneliness? Take a few minutes to hear perspectives from students Kensia Bush, Ethan Clark, and Shane Fredricks.

This week the ROC Crew discusses all the ways that serving and God's Kingdom intersect. We also introduce ROC Fall intern Maggie Hoover and two new faces to the ROC Podcast Vic Crawford and Mitchell Smith.

With graduation fast approaching, students are thinking about transitioning from college to careers. For many it's a time to put all of their gifts, abilities, and education to use in their careers. It's also a great time to consider how God may be using these exact same things to grow the Kingdom.

There is plenty of bad advice when it comes to college being the time to make dumb decisions, live wildly, and "find yourself", but what if it were possible to actually get the most out of college while growing in your faith? We think it is. So do some of our students. Listen to their perspective on how they found meaningful ways to connect with their faith in college and grow spiritually and personally.

It's been a few weeks since the ROC crew got together to Podcast, but we are exited to be back today to share a little about our time spent serving in Piedras Negras, Mexico and why service is an essential part of our lives as followers of Jesus.

We don't have idols lurking in our homes... do we? This week the guys discuss what idolatry looks like in our modern culture.
