Today we looked at Numbers 9 and God's Leading
It was like a second conversion for Peter as he follows God's leading to share the message of Jesus' love with people he wouldn't have even eaten with a few days earlier. It's through this experience that he realizes in Acts 10:34 (GNT) “that God treats everyone on the same basis.”
Following God's Leading with Susan Zobrist, Cassie Meiss, and Lisa Waibel Ephesians 3:20+21 (ESV) “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all that we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." Susan Zobrist serves as a Director at the South Side Christian Academy. She takes care of the daily routine needs at the school, teaches chapel, and oversees the student and family files. Her husband, Chad, serves as the board president as well as recess aide and office supply guy. Chad and Susan have four adult daughters and three wonderful son-in-laws. They are settling into life with an empty nest. Cassie Meiss wears many hats at the South Side Christian Academy, but her primary responsibilities are board secretary, business director, and part-time RTI teacher for students who are struggling to keep up with their grade level. Cassie is married to Curt and they have four grown children and one great daughter-in-law! They recently welcomed the arrival of their first granddaughter. Their family seems to be particularly interested in education as, Lord-willing, five of the six of them will have Bachelor's degrees in education within a couple of years. Cassie's son, Parker, teaches 4th grade at SSCA. Cassie loves to vacation pretty much anywhere and spends her spare time watching movies, reading, and being with friends and family. Lisa Waibel has been married to Matt for 27 years and they are both privileged to be on the board of South Side Christian Academy! Lisa's current role at SSCA is to manage the school bus, and be a substitute bus driver. She and her family help with the cleaning, the garden, and the yard maintenance. Because she is still homeschooling 3 of their 9 children, Lisa loves to have the students and their families to her house or on outings outside of school hours when the parents need help or just as an opportunity to build a relationship with them, teach them work skills, and give them some extra tutoring. Lisa also helps with Girls Club for SSCA 2nd to 4th graders. She also loves to pray for the SSCA families and loves seeing God's spirit working in their hearts! Lisa says, "May the name of the Lord be glorified and many souls be saved!" Gospel Scripture: (all NIV) Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:24 “and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:25 (a) “God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood.” Hebrews 9:22 (b) “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:11 “Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Luke 15:10 says “In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” Ephesians 1:13–14 “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession- to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:15–23 “For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.” Ephesians 2:8–10 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God‘s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.“ Ephesians 2:13 “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.“ Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
The One Quality Needed to Receive God’s Leading January 10, 2021 Drive-In Service Matthew 13:10-17 1) We and we alone have dominion over our hearts, and its attitudes and beliefs. These are the factors that determine its hardness or softness to God. A hard heart is insensitive and even resistant to God. The seed that fell on hard soil lost the quickest. 2) When we reject God’s process we reject God. To reject the word of God is to reject the God of the word 3) A heart that does not trust the goodness of God interprets the Word of God to support and justify its opinion 4) Repentance is the one quality you need which is to have a change of mind. 5) Understanding the kingdom is a capacity of the heart not the mind. Therefore that which affects the heart can alter our perceptions of what we actually hear and our understanding of what we hear. 6) It is the heart that decides whether we are understanding of his word or confused by it because we won’t let go of our own opinions 7) A heart that believes in God and his opinion re-leases God‘s grace his unearned ability flowing into your life 8) Changing heart beliefs leads to an effortless change in thinking, emotions, feelings and ultimately behaviour

Before you decide to go in a given direction, you first need to talk to God. We must trust that He knows what He's doing. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. We acknowledge God by spending time with Him consciously coming into His presence through prayer, meditating on His Words, worshiping Him and following Him.
Julia Fisher talks to Howard Bass - Howard and his wife Randi moved from the United States to live in Israel almost 40 years ago, and have been living in BeerSheva ever since. Why, I asked him via zoom, did they decide to leave the good life in America and move to Israel? Our aim is to build bridges... To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide. olivetreefund.org

from Exodus 19:1-8, 32:1-14, 19-20 As we continue our series on trusting God, we see God’s grace and sovereignty in inviting us to consider what it truly means to trust God in the midst of such a time of Global and national unrest as we navigate a season of new normal with the onset of COVID-19. Not only in this trying time, but even in your own every day life, what does it mean to trust God’s leading? What does it look like to trust that God is still good when things around us don’t seem to be? What does it look like to trust that God is not only with us, but that God is still leading us?
The Good Shepherd (the Lord Jesus Christ) is always leading out His sheep and guiding them in the right path. He actively does this in a combination of ways. While the Lord primarily leads, guides or directs His children through His written Word and inward knowing, voice and witness of the Holy Spirit, He also gives dreams, visions and trances to lead, guide or direct His children. However, it is unwise and unsafe to ignore clear divine guidance through God's Word and Spirit to seek for supernatural dreams, visions or trances. Learn how to enjoy and discern divine guidance through dreams, visions or trances in Part 5 of this enlightening teaching series.
A Christian is not just a mere believer in Christ but also a follower of Christ. Following Christ is not a one-time decision and action, but rather a dynamic, active and continuous life-time decision and action. Christ is actively leading you in life as a Good Shepherd leads and directs His sheep. In Part 4 of this informative teaching series you will learn how to receive, recognize and follow God's leading or guidance through God's Spirit indwelling your heart.
God is actively speaking, leading or guiding His children in life. Your born-again spirit or recreated heart naturally hears, knows, recognizes and accepts God's voice, leading or guidance, but your mind or brain does not. God often speaks, leads or guides His children in a combination of ways to eliminate doubt. Find out in Part 3 of this enlightening teaching series how to receive and enjoy God's leading or guidance through God's Word.
When God speaks, leads or guides you, your born-again spirit or recreated heart naturally hears, knows, and understands God's voice, leading or guidance. However, your mind does not naturally know, recognize or understand God's voice, leading or guidance. Learn how to begin to train your mind to know, discern or recognize God's voice, leading or guidance in Part 2 of this enlightening teaching series.
Enjoying God's leading or guidance is the blood-bought heritage of every believer in Christ. God is faithfully committed to leading, guiding and directing His children. Learn how to begin to enjoy God's leading in Part 1 of this enlightening teaching series.

It often seems like our lives are out of control. We don’t understand why things happen to us. It is helpful to remember that God is in control of all things, and he is working in all things for his purposes and the maturity of believers. We can see this hand of God in Abraham’s life from the stories in Genesis 20-21.

Sermon: Deuteronomy 8:2-3; 10: 12-13; Philippians 3:13-14
As Christians, the idea of hearing God's voice, knowing for sure it is him, and following his leading can be something mystical or daunting. But God is clear in the fact that the surrender is up to us, the leading is up to him. And the responsibility of getting us to our destination is on his shoulders.
