At the heart of every good restaurant is a healthy, robust kitchen. Our homes are the same. The kitchen forms the heart of the house - often taking center stage in the physical layout of the floorplan. Even with our lives being busier, more on-the-move than ever before, what little time we have with the others in our family or other living situation is more likely than not spent preparing or consuming food.Food is critical to our physical and mental health, and what we eat and how we eat it have major impacts in your overall well-being.Nowadays, the kitchen (and I’ll throw the dining room or dinner table into this definition as well, for the sake of this analogy) is used far less as a place to gather, to cook, to eat, to share. It has become a place to store, to reheat, to grab and go.Worse, some people actually dread the thought of spending any time in the kitchen at all or are convinced they don’t belong there.Kids are sent away from the kitchen to their glowing screens so that we can concentrate on the stressful task at hand.Let’s face it: if the kitchen is the heart of the house, many of our homes are in need of some CPR.Visit cookinwithkibby.com for all the latest articles, videos, and other great content and to sign up for my email list.Did you hear about the course launch coming in August 2019? Do you want to enjoy cooking more - or at all?Do you want to feel more confident with your cooking abilities?Do you want to be more efficient with your time?Do you want your kids to achieve that same confidence, and would you like to play a role in making that happen?Do you want to be able to prepare a meal without having to constantly refer to a recipe for guidance?Do you want to see your children willingly and happily assist you in the kitchen?Do you want meal preparation to be a time of bonding rather than a burden?Do you want to eat out less and eat together more?Do you want to learn how to menu plan or be more strategic and intentional with the way you shop for food?If you said yes to any of those questions, I am here, and I want to help.
I’m Chef Kibby, and even if you didn’t grow up in a home where cooking was a normal part of life, you can learn simple, practical techniques that will make your time in the kitchen more productive and less stressful.I want you to enjoy the act of preparing a fresh, home-cooked meal and to see it as a source of personal pride and accomplishment. Most importantly, I want to help you realize that making food together with those closest to you and sitting across the table to share a meal with them can have a significant positive impact on your relationships.Spend some time with me in the kitchen, and I hope you’ll agree with me that life is better when we’re cooking together.Hit the subscribe button right now, and I’ll see you in the kitchen.
