Cerro De Pasco Resources CEO Guy Goulet joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce the company's plan to pursue a secondary listing on the Lima Stock Exchange (BVL). This move is part of the company's broader strategy to deepen its presence in Latin America, increase visibility among regional investors, and broaden access to local capital markets. While the company will maintain its primary listing on the TSX Venture Exchange, the new BVL listing is expected to enhance liquidity and attract Peruvian and Andean investors, particularly those interested in sustainable mining and environmental remediation. The initiative underlines the company's strong commitment to Peru, where its flagship project is located. The project involves the reprocessing of silver-rich polymetallic tailings from the historic Cerro de Pasco mine — a significant environmental and economic opportunity in the region. He emphasized the uniqueness of the operation, noting, “We expect to have the largest above ground mineral resource.” With extraction costs as low as $1 per tonne, the company plans to capitalize on the significant leftover mineral content, especially in the Quiulacocha Tailings, which Goulet described as “the richest tailings in the world.” Goulet detailed that the company has completed 40 drill holes and confirmed the mineral profiles largely aligned with expectations, with plans for additional drilling to improve copper recovery. He also outlined ongoing metallurgical testing in Canada, Germany, and Peru as part of its development strategy. Goulet added that the secondary listing will deepen engagement with regional stakeholders and position the company to better capitalize on investor interest in Latin America's critical mineral and tailings reprocessing sectors. #proactiveinvestors #cerrodepascorespurcesinc #tsxv #cdpr #otcpk #gpprf #GuyGoulet #SilverMining #PeruvianMining #MineralResources #EnvironmentalCleanup #LandEasement #MiningIndustry #SustainableMining #EconomicDevelopment #AcidWaterTreatment #ZincProduction #GreenHydrogen #DrillProgram #ResourceValuation

Canada Council director Michelle Chawla says Canadian decision-makers need to acknowledge that the arts have a vital role to play in these uncertain times. In response to the threats of annexation by the U.S. and the tariffs aimed at weakening the Canadian economy, there has been a major rise in nationalistic cultural expression. Musicologist Rosheeka Parahoo says that when it comes to radio play, funding and recognition, the promise of diverse Canadian music has seldom matched the reality. And that needs to change.

This Podcast Is Episode 626, And It's About From Chaos To Clarity: The Right Construction Job Management System Running a business involves countless moving parts, which can feel overwhelming. From managing projects and keeping the team on the same page to ensuring profitability. Have you ever sent an email about a critical update only to find that team members missed it? With a job management system, those headaches disappear. Given the industry's complexity and unique challenges, effective job management is crucial for construction contractors. Managing multiple projects, coordinating teams, tracking budgets, and ensuring timely completion are just a few daily demands. A well-implemented job management system can be a game changer, streamlining operations and improving efficiency. But how do you know if a job management system is right for you? And if it is, how do you select the one that best suits your needs? Let's break it down. The key benefits of using a Job Management System Investing in a job management system doesn't just make tasks easier—it helps your business thrive. Here are the top benefits of implementing one into your workflow: 1. Centralized Project Management A job management system allows contractors to manage all projects from a single platform. This central hub provides easy access to project timelines, tasks, and milestones, ensuring everyone knows their responsibilities and deadlines. 2. Enhanced Communication Clear communication is vital on construction sites. Job management systems facilitate real-time updates and notifications, reducing the likelihood of miscommunication between team members, subcontractors, and clients. 3. Efficient Resource Allocation Construction projects often require careful scheduling and resource allocation. Job management tools help track materials, labor hours, and equipment, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and reducing downtime on-site. 4. Real-time Reporting and Tracking These systems provide real-time updates on project progress, budget adherence, and timelines. This visibility enables contractors to make informed decisions and adjustments as needed, minimizing delays and cost overruns. 5. Financial Management Keeping construction projects within budget is critical. Job management systems help track expenses against budgets, providing insights into profit margins and alerting contractors to any financial discrepancies before they escalate. 6. Compliance and Documentation The construction industry is heavily regulated, and keeping track of permits, safety regulations, and compliance documents can be overwhelming. A job management system helps streamline this documentation, ensuring everything is up-to-date and easily accessible. How to Choose the Right Job Management System for Construction Contractors 1. Focus on your business needs Ask yourself, "What are my top priorities right now?" You may need better tracking for resource allocation. Your focus may be on speed or improving client communication. Write down what matters most—this will guide your decision. Determine your key requirements as a construction contractor. Consider factors like project size, number of team members, and specific functionalities you need, such as scheduling, budget tracking, or safety compliance. 2. Consider your budget Some systems offer all the bells and whistles, but they may strain your budget. Be realistic about what you're willing to spend. Remember, it's okay to focus on features that align with your goals and accept trade-offs for secondary needs. While investing in a robust solution is essential, ensure you find one that offers the features you need without overspending. 3. Understand your team and client needs Your team will use the system daily; in some cases, so will your clients. Choose intuitive and user-friendly software, especially if your team or clients have varying levels of comfort with technology. Given the diverse tech proficiency of team members, a user-friendly interface can enhance adoption and minimize training time. 4. Evaluate core strengths Every job management system has strengths. Some excel in scheduling and resource management, while others shine in reporting or integration with other apps. Research each tool's strengths and match them with your specific demands. Evaluate features tailored specifically for construction, such as Gantt charts for scheduling, bid management, and mobile accessibility for on-site updates. 5. Think beyond your industry Focusing on software marketed exclusively to your industry is tempting, but don't limit yourself. Tools designed for other sectors often have features that better align with your company's unique needs. Broaden your search to explore all options. Opt for a system that integrates well with other software you're using, such as accounting tools or design software. This can streamline processes and maintain data consistency across platforms. 6. Plan for implementation Even the best systems won't work unless they're properly implemented. Consider how much time and effort it will take to onboard your team, migrate data, and integrate the software into your operations. Look for providers that offer support or training to make this process smooth. Consider providers that offer solid customer support and training resources. Transitioning to a new job management system requires time and effort, so having assistance available can ensure a smoother onboarding process. Final thoughts A job management system can transform your business, helping you work smarter, not harder. It fosters better teamwork, provides real-time insights, and saves you from labor-intensive manual work—all while keeping your bottom line in check. A robust job management system can significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of construction contractors. These tools can facilitate better project outcomes and increased profitability by providing streamlined communication, real-time data, and improved resource management. When selecting a system, focus on your specific needs, budget constraints, and the usability for your team. With the right job management solution, construction contractors can minimize chaos and focus on delivering quality results more efficiently. The right choice isn't solely about features; it's about finding something that aligns with your goals and empowers everyone, the team, and clients, to succeed. Let's chat today, and let me know if you need help choosing the right system for your construction company. ESB Networks has announced the launch of its new 'Weather Watch' Schools Programme aimed at supporting Junior Cycle and Transition Year Geography students to explore the links between weather patterns and renewable energy sources. Nearly 8,100 secondary school students across 90 schools nationwide are taking part in the programme and have received a free weather station from ESB Networks to encourage learning about energy, electricity, and the impact weather has on renewable electricity generation. The programme encourages conversations beyond the classroom, helping students bring energy awareness into their homes. By creating discussions about energy use, the initiative encourages participation in ESB Networks' "Is This a Good Time?" programme. This initiative supports tips about electricity consumption, helping people to make informed decisions about their electricity use, such as shifting electricity use away from peak times (5-7 pm) or to times when there is surplus renewable energy available on the network. Through the use of outdoor weather stations and supporting learning materials, the programme links classroom theory with real-world applications. Each weather station comes with a digital display directly linked to the station, allowing students to gather learnings from within the classroom. The lessons teach students how weather like wind or solar, impacts renewable energy in practice - and how this can be used to help make more informed decisions on energy usage. Additionally, the weather station is linked to ESBNetworks.ie/weatherwatch, enabling each participating school to share their learnings. Key features of the Weather Watch Schools Programme include: Hands-on learning: Weather stations are provided to all participating schools, giving students direct access to the science behind renewable energy generation. Skills development: Students will develop and use critical thinking, data analysis and problem-solving skills. Broaden sustainability knowledge: Students are provided the opportunity to broaden their understanding of sustainable practices in their everyday lives. Cross-curricular applications: The programme brings together knowledge from geography, math, and environmental studies. Lindsay Sharpe, Strategy and Customer Manager at ESB Networks, said: "The ESB Networks Weather Watch schools programme is a pivotal initiative that empowers the next generation with the knowledge and skills to understand the critical role of electricity and weather in our daily lives. By engaging students in meaningful conversations and practical activities, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of renewable energy and its impact on electricity consumption. This programme not only educates but also inspires students to take proactive steps towards a sustainable future. The programme provides a new avenue to educate young people about energy and environmental efficiency allowing for interesting and active learning to take place." Claire Phelan, Geography Teacher at Patrician Secondary School Cork, whose students are partaking in the programme, added: "ESB Networks' Weather Watch Schools Programme has encouraged our students to think more deeply about the connections between weather conditions, climate conditions, and the link in generating renewable energy sources. Students are using their knowledge from this programme to become energy ambassadors at home." For more information, visit ESB Networks' Weather Watch | Sustainability Education.

It feels like only yesterday that workforce challenges were the biggest problem facing the healthcare industry. While COVID-19-related staffing shortages may have declined, an inefficient workforce can still threaten health system operations and finances. Often, systems turn to staffing ratios or benchmarks to determine whether they need more cuts or more hires. However, systems need more than staffing ratios to make sure they have the right headcount and the right expertise in place to safely and effectively care for patients. The question is: if workforce benchmarks aren't enough, then what is? To answer that question, host Rachel (Rae) Woods invites Advisory Board nursing expert Ali Knight to unpack the state of the workforce five years after the peak of COVID-19. We recently wrapped up the story of Arkeene Broaden a young man who says he is innocent of the crime he's been convicted of but what does an expert think? As always it's time to catch up with the man they call 'The Voice of Reason' Mr Michael Leonard of Leonard trial lawyers in Chicargo Ilanois.________________________________________________________At 18 years old, Wayne County charged Arkeene and his 16-year-old friend, Cody Clark, with felony murder, robbery, conspiracy, and felony firearm in connection with the June 2015 shooting death of their close friend, Martez Johnson, at a house on Heyden Street around 10:00 PM.Authorities alleged that Arkeene drove Cody and Martez to meet Andre Thomas with the intent to rob Martez. They claimed that once they arrived, Cody and Martez went inside while Arkeene stayed in the car. Inside the house, Cody allegedly shot Martez in the head when Martez tried to escape.Arkeene demanded a trial, but after the jury was selected, his attorney passed away. The next attorney pushed him to accept a plea deal. Initially, the offer was for 18 years, then reduced to 14 years. Despite Arkeene repeatedly insisting on going to trial because of his innocence, the attorney continued pressuring him. Eventually, the plea offer was reduced to 8 years, plus an additional 2 years for the gun charge. The attorney warned that if Arkeene did not take the deal, he would face life in prison.Young, afraid, and unfamiliar with the legal system, Arkeene ultimately accepted the plea deal to avoid the possibility of a life sentence. He now believes that if he had been aware of all the evidence, he would have rejected the plea and insisted on going to trial.Later, Arkeene's family hired Professional Investigator Steve Crane from ACS Professional Investigations to conduct a proper investigation into the case. This is what they found. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

REPLAY: This episode is from the vault and premiered on November 23, 2022. Sabs Katz, a dynamic creator and co-founder of Intersectional Environmentalists, joins us for a conversation that sheds light on the entwined paths of identity, activism, and environmentalism. Sabs courageously shares their experiences confronting anti-Semitism while navigating the world of social justice and environmental advocacy through a Jewish and vegan lens. We explore the vital role of setting boundaries with media and the importance of acknowledging diverse perspectives to create a more inclusive movement that tackles pressing social issues like the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. Our discussion takes an intriguing turn as Sabs reveals how adopting a vegan and zero-waste lifestyle transformed their approach to sustainability. Initially skeptical of aligning with advertising, they discovered its potential to deliver powerful sustainability messages. Together, we examine the dual nature of social media in activism, recognizing its power to amplify voices and create inclusive spaces for change. We touch on eco-anxiety and the hurdles posed by systemic barriers, yet find hope in effective communication and acknowledging solutions that inspire climate action. We celebrate the mission of Intersectional Environmentalists, where Sabs and their co-founders aim to blend social justice with environmentalism through community engagement and digital initiatives like Earth Sessions. Sabs shares personal stories of sustainable fashion, finding inspiration in vintage family pieces, and the broader implications of mindful shopping. Through these narratives, we embrace the power of creative wardrobe choices and the joy they bring, highlighting how these acts resonate deeply in the quest for a sustainable future. Guest Bio: Sabs Katz (she/her) is a Brooklyn-based advocate of conscious, intentional, and holistic living. Sometimes, you have to travel far to learn about things close to home—like your finances. They say that “travel is broadening”—that it expands your horizons and increases your understanding of how things really work. Sharon Epps experienced that recently on the tram in the Netherlands, and today, she'll share some financial lessons she learned along the way. Sharon Epps is the President of Kingdom Advisors, FaithFi's parent organization. Kingdom Advisors serves the broad Christian financial industry by educating and equipping professionals to integrate biblical wisdom and financial expertise.Faith, Finance, and the TramDuring a recent Christmas visit to The Hague, Sharon enjoyed time with her family and learned valuable lessons riding the Dutch tram system. These lessons beautifully parallel financial wisdom rooted in faith. Let's explore these five lessons and how they can guide us in making faith-filled financial decisions.1. Plan in AdvanceBefore boarding the tram, you need to purchase a card or use an app like Apple Pay—cash isn't accepted. If you're unprepared, you'll find yourself stuck.Financial Takeaway: Life transitions and financial goals require preparation. Proverbs 21:5 reminds us, “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” Look ahead and make thoughtful plans for the future.2. Make Decisions Based on PrinciplesInterestingly, there are no instructions on using the card readers. Observing others reveals the steps: scan in when boarding and scan out when exiting. It's a system based on principles rather than explicit instructions.Financial Takeaway: Life doesn't come with a step-by-step manual for every situation. However, God's Word is full of enduring principles. Base your financial decisions on these, rather than rigid rules, to stay aligned with His will.3. Avoid Decision-Making TrapsSharon missed her tram stop because she was looking in the wrong direction. She realized too late that the doors she needed were behind her.Financial Takeaway: Evaluate multiple alternatives before making decisions. Avoid getting stuck with the first option that comes to mind, as it might not be the best one. Broaden your perspective to avoid costly mistakes.4. Seek Godly CounselAfter missing her stop, Sharon was unsure what to do next. A kind pair of Dutch women guided her to the next stop and helped her find her way back.Financial Takeaway: Life is full of unexpected turns. Seeking wisdom from God and godly counselors can help you navigate challenges and make wise choices. Proverbs 15:22 teaches, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.”5. Know What You HaveAfter several rides, Sharon realized she needed to check the balance on her tram card and top it up.Financial Takeaway: Just as you must track the balance on your card, you need to know the condition of your financial resources. Proverbs 27:23–24 reminds us, “Know well the condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds, for riches do not last forever.” Awareness of your financial position is crucial for wise stewardship.Life Moves Fast—Stay PreparedRiding a tram requires quick decision-making—boarding, exiting, and navigating—all while staying prepared for the next leg of the journey. Financial decisions can feel the same way. By applying these five lessons—planning ahead, basing decisions on principles, avoiding traps, seeking counsel, and staying informed—you'll be better equipped to navigate life's financial challenges. If we adopt these principles in our financial decision-making, we won't find ourselves getting off at the wrong stop and scrambling to figure out our way back.On Today's Program, Rob Answers Listener Questions:I have a seven-and-a-half-year-old granddaughter, and I'd like to know how to begin investing in her college education. Can I roll my TSP over to an IRA? Today's episode, titled "Rethinking Weapon Play in Classrooms: Balancing Safety, Learning, and Playful Exploration," takes us on a journey through personal experiences, societal implications, and educational strategies around the often controversial topic of weapon play in early childhood settings. Host Roberto Germán is joined by two distinguished guests: Kisa Marx, an author and anti-racist curriculum developer, and Samuel Broaden, an early education expert and speaker. Together, they bring a wealth of insight from their personal backgrounds and professional experiences. Kisa Marx shares her childhood experiences growing up amid the crack war and gang violence in Chicago, contrasting with her current perspective as a parent and advocate for mindful play. Samuel Broaden reflects on his rural upbringing and evolving views on toy weapons, influenced by his educational journey and personal connections. Their discussion brings to light the complex layers of safety, racial dynamics, and the developmental importance of imaginative play. Through this episode, we uncover how children use weapon play to explore power, consent, and kindness, and why it's essential for educators to approach this subject with empathy and an open mind. We also delve into broader themes of boundaries versus rules in classrooms, the importance of continuous dialogue, and the unique challenges faced by educators today. Today I'm sharing even more techniques using neuroscience to help us escape negative thought spirals. All this is extremely subjective and not meant to be used all at once. Pick one, try it, and give it some time and repetition. Maybe it helps, maybe you move on to the next. Don't be so hard on yourself, either way!!!Unfortunately, negative emotions have a tendency to compound, however there is building evidence that positive thoughts and behaviors (when practiced in contextually appropriate ways) can compound as well. You're listening to Voices of Your Village, and I'm so stoked about this episode. We get to chat about rethinking weapon play. This is a hot topic. It's one with a lot of opinions, and I really wanted to dive into the child development aspect of this. I got to hang out with Kisa Marx and Samuel Broaden to have this conversation. Kisa is an author, a child advocate, and a champion of early educators. With over two decades in the field, she spent 15 years running her self -affirming play in nature focused family home childcare in Oak Park, Illinois. Recently, she switched to a nonprofit model to offer high quality childcare to families who would otherwise be denied access. Kisa's advocacy, pedagogy, and ethos are anchored in three pillars: childhood is sacred, nature is restorative, and play is revolutionary. When she's not in the field with her crew or advocating with fellow childhood champions, Kisa can be found with her partner of 26 years tending to their garden of adult children, pets, and plants. Samuel is an early childhood advocate and author who believes in the power of childhood and showing children the power they have within themselves. He has worked in the early education field for 20 years, from a teacher to administration to quality coach to author and speaker. He believes in the importance of creating safe spaces for all children to discover who they are and be celebrated for that. He's the author of Gender Expression and Inclusivity in Early Childhood, A Teacher's Guide to Queering the Classroom, and their new book, Rethinking Weapon Play in Early Childhood, How to Encourage Imagination, Kindness, and Consent in Your Classroom, is out now from Kisa and Samuel. I'm super stoked for y 'all to get your hands on that bad boy. All right, folks, let's dive in.
