For the souls ready to open up their perspectives and shift into new belief systems. This is a space for exploring the systems of society and how it affects our conscious and subconscious states. Topics may include existential crises, art process frustrations and musings, metaphysical breakthroughs, and personal experiences that have stayed with me through it all.

This week, Pea the Feary is here to discuss shame, discernment, and nonlinearity. Basically, answering all the questions I've been dying to ask them ever since following/working with them. This episode is basically one huge testimonial for Pea. Go work with them. Pea is an Afrofuturist artist and mystic. In the episode, Pea mentions wanting to be Merlin doing "wizard-y things in the background for the King Arthurs finding me," which you can clearly see in their facilitation of timeline jumps, shame parties and created to create programs. Erin ‘Bird' Schemenski is on the podcast today! Erin is an Alternative and Complimentary Holistic Health Care Practitioner specializing in Reiki, Breathwork, and mindfulness. "Just take a moment. Sit with where you are, and allow yourself to believe in the good and the loving possibilities that could potentially occur." If you've ever been curious about reiki and the flow of energy, this is your episode. Erin teaches me about where we might hold energy within the body, ways to tap into that energy flow and how reiki is accessible to everyone. Erin believes in bringing reiki into the medical field and works to heal clients through the mind-body connection. Guess who's back, back again? My semi-cohost, Jaime. Things get extremely sexual in this episode as we talk about our sexual experiences, shadow archetypes, and how to find what makes you feel that love you're seeking. It's important to demystify sexual exploration and get comfortable with showing up in our desires. It's okay to want what you want, but it's also important to find the safety within yourself to be willing to speak on them. Maybe I'm biased, but this is my favorite episode. If you'd like to connect with Jaime, check her out on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wavydayscoaching/ (https://www.instagram.com/wavydayscoaching/) P.S. we talk a lot about shadow and archetypes. My health coach and friend Kasey joins me today to talk about diet culture, resolutions, macros vs micros and a whole bunch more. It can be so easy to get wrapped up in diet culture and companies telling us what we need to feel good, when in reality the truth is much simpler. And I hope it's no secret of my disdain for diets, but have a read if you want to dive deeper into that rabbit hole I dug myself into: https://medium.com/an-idea/why-we-hate-our-bodies-97f5d1ff4e79 (https://medium.com/an-idea/why-we-hate-our-bodies-97f5d1ff4e79) Getting in tune with your body is the most important step towards your health journey, so if you are curious about next steps, check out Kasey on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kaseybozz/ (https://www.instagram.com/kaseybozz/) Subscribe to my newsletter for better conversations: https://talula.substack.com/ (https://talula.substack.com/) Twitter: https://twitter.com/_talularose (https://twitter.com/_talularose) Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_talularose (https://www.instagram.com/_talularose) Medium: https://medium.com/@talularose (https://medium.com/@talularose) --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/talularose/support (https://anchor.fm/talularose/support)
This is a little diddy I like to call "resolutions suck, but rituals are forever." Happy New Year! I tried to keep this short and sweet and share some of my rituals around the new year celebration. Or maybe I just rambled the whole time because I'm still feeling the effects of that time where it seems like my software is being updated. If you have a better ritual or want to viciously defend the concept of resolutions, please please let me know. It's for research. I would actually love to keep a log of everyone's resolutions or rituals over the years and become a database for humans seeking improvement. I feel like we'd have more similarities than expected. Anyway, that's all from me. Hope you kicked ass or at least slept a lot in 2021. Cheers. *CORRECTION* During this episode we mention Marlee Grace using the pronouns she/her. And recently, Marlee has come out as nonbinary. This episode is all about the basics of identity. I describe what identity feels like, how I perceive it, and the foundations I use to shift into new spaces and experiences through identity. Identity is the vessel and the focus we set our mind on is how we shape reality to reflect back the aspects we are currently holding. There are many Sims references in here. In this episode I mention the Diagram of realities, which I talk about in the VERY first episode. But you can https://medium.com/an-idea/what-i-learned-fainting-at-a-renaissance-faire-9480b60a8484 (see it here). This is the precursor to episodes that will be discussing shadow, identity shifting, self-worth and all the wonderful tools in which we can mold our reality in the ways we wish. In this episode, I talk about our incessant desire for clarity. We get taught that if we grab this concept of clarity, purpose, truth, we will finally reach our full selves. If we grab that thing, we'll finally have the sense of permission to be fully ourselves. Which it's why it feels like we're floating in a black hole; it feels like there's no way out. When we release this need for clarity and view life as active observation, co-creation, we realize we were the clarity all along. We never needed permission to do anything. https://www.instagram.com/jaimelynncoaching/ (JaimeLynnCoaching) and I look deeper into feminine and masculine energy and our constant desire for clarity. We have created a culture that separates logic from feeling, causing us to try and subcategorize and organize the world and our own experience within it. We need to put everything into a neat little box, and the problem that can arise is when we try to do that with emotions. We are not singular beings and do not need to subdivide our emotions down into "logical" definitions. You contain multitudes baby. Start embodying it. Topple the Patriarchy....with love. What is male default? Male norm? In this episode, I talk an absurd amount about the books I have been reading, which all seem to correlate with the masculine and feminine energies and how they show up today. Male norm is more prevalent than ever with Texas passing the anti-abortion laws; we assume that male thought is the default for life. The way to combat this is for each of us to step more into divine feminine energy and move away from the masculine energy that has currently shaped this world. Honestly, didn't even know what to call this episode. I start off speaking on the education system and the ways in which it conforms us into these unshakable identities, and then just landed somewhere in the land of contradiction. Love. Romance. That tingly feeling you get when someone texts you back right away. Can you define what true love is? Or does it feel more like the validation you receive for being chosen, being someone's Person? In this episode let's find out where romance even began and break down societal norms that aren't actually all that normal. I want to offer a new outlook on relationships today and activate a possible shift in how you choose to show up for them. Life is an experiment; instead of craving for ourselves to be something that someone will want, we can start experimenting with what we actually want ourselves. Topple the Patriarchy....with love. Today I wanted to chat about safety. What does safety feel like? In the new pieces I've been creating, that question has been looming over me. Trying to uncover that sense of belonging that I am craving. In these creations of safe spaces, I am finding my toxic relationship with chaos; that for me to grow means that I need to bring chaos into my life. That I cannot hold that space of safety if I choose to continue growing. Why is it that we believe that to achieve means to suffer? Until next time. In this episode I offer you an idea for increasing your creative flow and why art and science might be more similar than we think. Welcome This is the first episode of Cracks in the Foundation. This is a space where I will be discussing my art process, the different pieces I am creating, and the concepts that fuel my practice. Have you ever fainted at a Renaissance Faire? In this episode, I discuss what I learned after fainting at a Renaissance Faire and the possibility that all my art is just a self-portrait. This concept of different realities existing in a reality network has fueled my art practice recently and I hope to continue exploring portals in my work.
