A collection of things that grind gears. Social media, pop culture and "expert opinions".
Well it's good to be back! We get back into the swing of things after a loooong hiatus with this new episode of the pod. We pick right back up where we left off with an extremely specific and tangent filled story about a night out in Downtown Chula Vista. We also fire off some hot music takes and get into some new shows we've been passing the time with. Life's a trip so who knows when we'll be able to record another episode but we're really thankful to all of youse that have stuck with us throughout the years. Enjoy the pod!
Apparently we live in the election universe now and every day is Election Day forever and life sucks and we hate it. We briefly discuss the election and Joseph Robinette Biden’s victory(?) but luckily we're not a political pod so we don’t spend a lot of time on it.On the flip side though we get to some interesting stuff during our “regular bits” that we think you guys are going to enjoy! Get ready for our next few episodes because we got some bangers lined up.
Damn, we’re really cranking these out. Just the two boys on this one and we get to talk a lil’ shop about some of the behind the scenes stuff for the podcast and our social media content strategy.Justin had a bit part on one of his favorite pods and a big influence for DFTC, Gaming Cult Podcast! Patrick is sharpening his martial arts skills under the tutelage of, friend of the pod Adam Pryde and we get to hear a little about that. Stay tuned for more guests during the Holiday season foos! Justin’s appearance on Gaming Cult Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/gaming-cult-podcast/id498397940?i=1000496458663
What’s good errbody?! We’re back with an especially artistic pod with our special guest Victor Rodriguez (A.k.a. Dogs)! Justin and Patrick chat with Victor about the painting hanging in Justin’s hot ass apartment and they discuss art in the age of COVID. Patrick is coming through strong with the edits this episode and Justin is coming through strong with the over enthusiasm. Please do yourself a favor and follow Victor on IG for a look at his art and commission a piece from him before he has to start turning mfers away. Hey y’all! (We say “y’all” now) Long time no pod (as usual) Everything has been so shitty lately and we wanted to bring up the energy with some off the rails, comedy podcast antics! Did it work? Ehhhhhhh.... We did get to talk about some interesting stuff on this one though. Justin’s been depressed so, naturally, it’s been really good for him creatively. Patrick has transitioned into a stable rewarding career so, naturally, it’s been really stifling for him creatively. Funny how that works huh? Enjoy the episode!
We have purposefully structured the podcast away from political topics because we like to keep things light. However, in this episode we felt like it would be too weird NOT to say anything about the recent events regarding the police murder of George Floyd and the ongoing BLM movement. As always, if anything we say upset you at all, it was a joke and we were just kidding.
Well, we rewind ourselves back to the pre-COVID world of 2019 to when the boys had the great pleasure of sitting and chatting with musician extraordinaire and all around great guy Dennis Moon of Buddha Trixie. Lots of music talk in this one as well as Thanksgiving meal talk since it was recorded on Black Friday. Thanks for sticking with us and enjoy this jam packed episode of Dam Foo That’s Crazy.
Well the boys are back for another packed episode of the pod. But this time, there’s a twist! Patrick decided it would be good content to get completely shitfaced on-mic and he wasn’t wrong. Justin quickly goes off of the rails embarrassing himself on multiple occasions; all of which have made it to the final cut of the episode, much to his chagrin. He also can’t stop doing impromptu ad reads for the booze they’re getting wasted with. The alcohol awakens something in Patrick and he gets uncharacteristically deep talking about some real stuff that I think you’ll find illuminating. Good mix of chaos and comedy on this ep so please to enjoy.
What’s up ya dang hosers! The boys are back to chat shit about more stuff on this episode of Dam Foo That’s Crazy. Justin is uncharacteristically late to the party when it comes to Canadian cult comedy show ”Letterkenny” and he breaks down why normies will eventually ruin it. Patrick has his regular Twitter round up of chaotic content which leads into a couple dangerously close-to-political rants from Justin. There’s music, “comedy”, and if you’re lucky you might hear a man driven to the edge of sanity thanks to roasted corn. Enjoy!
Yeah we’re still doing the podcast lol. The boys do a little Comic Con round up. Patrick recounts his experience enjoying Comic Con without actually stepping foot in Hall-H. Justin opines about the corporatization of Comic Con and how it was so much cooler when it was just for sweaty nerds with bad skin. Patrick has been subjecting himself to the horrifying monument to the depravity of mankind that is Twitter. So, of course, he is highlighting some of his favorite tweets and vids for our listening pleasure. Lots of music talk on this one so I think you’ll all enjoy this episode and if you don’t please direct all hate mail to bigdaddypatrick69@mountaindew.biz
Hey, did you miss us? No? Well fuck it, here’s an episode anyways. After many fruitless attempts at recording an episode with Justin’s cousin David, we finally were able to exorcise the demonic presence preventing him from podding long enough to get a session in. The trio plays catch up with current events, including, but not limited to: Keanu Reeves, movie remakes, potential sponsors, and famous intellectual dumbass Alex Jones. It makes for a pretty solid episode and thanks to Patrick’s new enslaved thralls (a.k.a. interns) perhaps we will turn these out with more regularity.
There was a temporal disturbance which caused episode 12 and 13 to switch places! In reality: Episode 12 was lost so the boys had to scramble to record a replacement. The lads play a little bit of catch up with (not so) current events. The fellas also recount a very juvenile drinkup as well as Justin’s harrowing rescue of a damsel in distress. Patrick breaks down two very unique musical experiences. The podcast is getting back on track folks! Enjoy this episode foo!(Jump Scare Warning⚠️)
Justin and Patrick get their first big guest in studio (oh yeah, we have a studio)! UFC straw weight Angela “Overkill” Hill and her husband/trainer Adam Pryde join in for a decidedly non fight-centric chat. Angela breaks down her journey from unassuming art school otaku to full time MMA badass. She also takes us into how she prepares for her fights which, to Justin’s great relief, involves a surprisingly nerdy element. The boys also get into relationship advice, offensive music, and some really inside gaming references on this very special episode of #DFTC Two Straws w/Angela Hill and Jessica Penne: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1FaPU4wQCG9RdbNlMBI-fA
Patrick was out on assignment at the AVNs and Justin was doing something a few degrees less interesting so sorry for the delay on this one lol. Anyways, the boys are back wrapping up some loose anecdotes from 2018 including a rather harrowing tale of revenge and realization for Justin.Patrick analyzes advertising trends (it’s funnier than it sounds) and he reviews some real cool new tactical anti bullying equipment. Hope y’all had a decent 2018, and look forward to more hilarious(?) episodes in 2019!
Ho! Ho! Ho...ld up? What’s this? Another episode? But Episode 9 just came out a week ago! Is this a Christmas miracle? Well folks, don’t adjust your television sets, this isn’t a broadcast error it’s the Dam Foo That’s Crazy Christmas Special! The boys (and Lily) are feeling the holiday spirit with some Christmastime memories. Justin flexes his poetic chops with a trio of holiday poems. Patrick ascends to master editor status with the most heavily produced episode to date.Hope everyone out there enjoyed their holidays and thanks for tuning in! Here’s to 2019!
Did ya miss us? It’s been a minute since the last but whadya want from us? We have dayjobs y’know? Anyways, the boys recall another harrowing tale from the podcast’s favorite watering hole: The Salty Frog. Justin cashes in some good guy points and Tai Chis a potentially disastrous situation. Patrick is feeling particularly perv-y with a rather risqué edition of The Babe of the Week™. We’re working on getting these out more regularly but art takes time baby! Enjoy the episode you hentais!
Is this upload schedule throwing you for a loop? Well you’re not alone, we are also confused by it! Anyways, Patrick landed us an interview with local San Diego broadcast legend Tim Pyles over at the 91X radio studio. (So I guess you could say we’re a big deal now.) Also, Justin goes on a weird tangent about the CW (formerly WB) proto-superhero television show, Smallville. Babes, music, extremely local refrences, and general hijinks ensue.
Welcome, weebs and any unfortunately soul who stumbled across whatever this is. Enjoy as Justin Senpai and Testiclats struggle to pronounce the simplest of words, the origins of culture vultures, hentai & REAL music. To the 2 of you listening, youre welcome.
