In this solo episode I am sharing some thoughts and observations on our inability to have a conversation and communicate effectively both online and offline and how our "dancing" around sensitive subjects does not help us come to any resolution of most important societal issues. I am also telling the story of my "All is One" project, the creation of which was triggered and inspired by this year's events in the US and in the world. "All is One" is a multimedia art project that is meant to create a platform for people to speak up and listen to each other's opinions and thoughts with a hope to relearn the forgotten art of conversation. In this episode I refer to the following writings and interview: "Intimations" by Zadie Smith https://www.amazon.com/Intimations-Six-Essays-Zadie-Smith/dp/059329761X "White Debt" by Eula Biss https://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/06/magazine/white-debt.html Krista Tippett and Eula Biss: On being podcast https://onbeing.org/programs/eula-biss-talking-about-whiteness/ Thank you for listening and sharing! This time I am sharing my thoughts on the concept of Urban Spirituality which in my opinion will be the cornerstone of the new era of NYC and big cities in general.
There was an article in NY Magazine recently discussing possible changes to educational system triggered by switching to online learning. As a result, campus life as we know it will be non-existent. Attending school without having campus experience is a perfect example of how other experiences that we are used to might change. In this episode I invite you to think of a bigger question - will the way we experience life be different in the future?
As the world is planning to gradually come back to life, in Episode 10 I invite you to meditate on 2 ways of looking at the Change, and the best way to prepare for the life after self-isolation.
The more time we spend with ourselves, the more we get to tap into our authenticity. “Renaissance of Self” is a beautiful term I came up with recently as I think that so many of us will go through this as a result of self-isolation.
How do you keep the stress level at bay during the times of uncertainty? and can you prepare yourself to be successful in the ever changing world? These strategies are geared to help listeners become less reactive, more confident and more in-tune with their true selves.
Moving to NYC, growing up in Australia, becoming a citizen of the World, working in Strategy, taking care of self-confidence level in a highly competitive field and distinguishing "questions" from "THE questions" & "Answers" from "THE answers" - are some of the main topics of our conversation with Sarah Elsmore. The best way to connect with Sarah is via Linked In.
