This past year has been quite challenging for me. As the final few episodes approach, I'll be reflecting on the podcast's progress over the past 4 years, discussing my current journey, and preparing for the new year. In this second part of the Reflect and Reset series, I'll be talking about embracing honesty, acknowledging my flaws, and striving to be a better person based on the lessons I've learned. Unfortunately, we won't have any N.O.W. Spotlight Artists to feature as we head into the new year, but I'm working on a great lineup to kick things off with a bang! If you have any suggestions for independent artists, please feel free to send an email. I would love to check them out and show my support. On today's episode, we chat with Derric from Fellowship Creative! Fellowship Creative is a band who wants to help you know Jesus. While most Christian artists begin at their church and then move on, Fellowship Creative is still serving every Sunday at their home church, Fellowship Church. It is there that they reflect the heart of their Pastor, Ed Young, to creatively and passionately introduce people to Jesus. These stories of life change continue to inspire the music of Fellowship Creative. Their most recent project, “Til The Day I Die,” comes from a chapter of grief and loss over the tragic death of friend, family, and team member, LeeBeth Young, the oldest daughter of Ed & Lisa Young. Her death opened up a chapter of asking God tough questions and really working out what it means to trust Jesus. The church was where they processed their pain, and this experience inspired these songs of honest vulnerability, deep introspection, and a renewed level of faith. Every song and artist has a message they want to share. For Fellowship Creative, its simple - Jesus is the hope of the world. And they'll be writing songs, serving in their church, and spreading that message ‘til the day they die. Their latest album, 'The Help Project", is out now! fellowshipcreative.com @fellowshipcreative christianmusicguys.com @christianmusicguys --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/christianmusicguys/message

In today's episode of Category Visionaries, we speak with Derric Gilling, CEO of Mosief, an API analytics platform that's raised over $15 Million in funding, about why the deluge of data that most companies are dealing with hasn't yet been utilized to anything near its full potential, and how a better integrated, more effective API analytics framework can capture significant value for partners and clients across the entire startup sector. By providing critical insight into exactly how API solutions are performing and where they can be improved, Mosief helps their customers hone in on the metrics that really matter, and make meaningful changes based on the best possible data. We also spoke about how Derric's time at intel provided him with critical lessons to take with him into the startup space, why you should never over-promise on a critical feature, what makes a targeted customer persona so important when creating a new category, and why sometimes it pays to take your time before taking a product to market. Topics Discussed: Derric's time at Intel and the critical lessons it gave him when it came to building his own startup business. Why API matters, how it's still falling short of its real potential, and how adequate analytics can really be the missing link in the value chain Why Derric believes its best never to over-promise, and why bugs and fixes should be part of every tech companies budgetary planning Why Moesif decided to pivot from API development to analytics, and how it feels to be moving in a blue market economy How Moesif and their customers are building stronger networks together, and the power of the 1+1=3 relationship The importance of really zeroing in on your customer persona when you decide to create a new category, and exactly who is making the purchases Favorite book: High Output Management

181: What Are Your Donors Thinking? (Derric Bakker)SUMMARYAfter record-level giving during Covid, what are your donors thinking with uncertain economic conditions ahead? In episode #181 of Your Path to Nonprofit Leadership, we talk with Derric Bakker, a 30+ year expert fundraiser and founder of the annual Donor Insight Study, about what donors are likely to do in the year ahead. After multiple years studying the economic indicators that affect philanthropic behavior, Derric shares his insight about what it all means for 2022 year-end giving as well as giving in 2023. Learn what needs are weighing on the minds of donors, how nonprofit leaders can benefit from these insights, and why now more than ever, leaders must clearly communicate the extent of need amongst those they serve.ABOUT DERRICDerric Bakker is one of those rare individuals who has been in fundraising for almost his entire career. In 1990, just a couple years out of college, Derric was offered his first fundraising position with a small local nonprofit. It soon became apparent that fundraising was a strong fit for his unique set of gifts and what started as a whim grew into a lifelong career. Over the next ten years he would hone his craft working at three different nonprofit organizations. Derric then segued into consulting in 2001. Over most of the next decade he worked as Vice President for two different firms providing capital campaign and major gift consulting services to dozens of different organizations. In 2010 Derric started his own consulting firm, which became DickersonBakker after a merger with Denver-based firm in 2012. Since then, he has served as President of DickersonBakker, which has grown to become a nationally recognized firm comprised of over 30 full-time professionals serving well over a hundred different nonprofit organizations each year.EPISODE TOPICS & RESOURCESGrit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela DuckworthLearn more about Derric and the work he does at DickersonBakker hereDownload a copy of the 2022 Donor Insight StudyTake our Podcast Survey and let us know what you want to hear!Check out Patton's new book Your Path to Nonprofit Leadership: Seven Keys to Advancing Your Career in the Philanthropic Sector

Derric and Valentine go over the layout of a magic card. With Bonus fun facts.
Dylan Kantor and Austin Ledabski are two Denver based comedians that started a podcast to capture all things sports. This week we have our 3rd host Derric Ragsdale on the show, and we recorded from our new Slaughterhouse North Studio. The episode starts with Ledabski and Derric talking about their experience at a game 1 watch party of the Stanley Cup and Russia's love for Ping Pong. Dylan explains his theory of the NBA being tired as an organization/fanbase, then we learn about the un-told "Darkside of John Elway", Shaq Shoes, and how future Nuggets trades need to involve a friend for Jokic. We review a few movies and shows related to sports (kind of), which leads to two of the greatest quotes "There's a man in inside his penis" and "This town is only big enough for one John". The boys discuss bringing a Denver team's mascot onto the podcast, and Dylan makes some strong statements about Rockies fans/stadium. Evan questions the value of the Broncos and gets explained how wrong he is, and Dylan talks about library fights. The podcast ends with a discovery about Evan's shocking lack of Hack Sack experience and Dylan challenging everyone to play basketball. He challenges everyone in the room and then moves on to multiple people in the Denver comedy scene he knows he can "Hoop". Throughout the show Austin reminds us all, Avalanche are coming down a mountain, like a fountain, but Evan still insists his home team will win. With thoughts and run-throughs of past games and predictions about future games, this show is your one stop shop for all things sports. This podcast is recorded in Denver and is a Slaughterhouse Studios production.
New Capenna isn't exactly New, but we've been busy and finally got a chance to open our Prerelease Kits. We all have some thoughts about the set. Then Joe tells us about some changes and updates to 2 decks in his pauper collection ( find one here https://www.mtggoldfish.com/archetype/pauper-black-burn#paper ) We discuss some decks that were named after cereal (I think we need to do a longer episode about this.) Derric talks about some commander deck beliefs he has and a new deck.
This show features local Denver comedians talking about anything and everything within the Colorado comedy scene. We hope to create a space where people can say whatever they want, and we are not a success until we have someone lose their job at SNL. This week on the podcast we have a few members of the Slaughterhouse family, Austin Ledbaski and Derric Ragsdale of High Altitude Sports. The two hosts are battling in a Roast Battle soon so they are in Battle Mode the entire podcast. The podcast opens with a discussion about Austin's life on a commune and the love triangle between Austin, Derric, and Austin's sister. The guests tell their Shuffle boarding story and then Derric tells us which Kardashian has helmet head. Evan does a segment of "Quick Hits", we watch a video of a customer getting McMad, and then Evan begins challenging everyone to a fight. After a story of a Live dick pick sharing being witnessed, the group checks in on what the WEF has been up to and investigate a metaverse assault. Also, Evan says something at the end that makes Dylan want to stop doing the podcast. Throughout the show, we break down jokes, tell stories from the local scene and discuss all of the important things happening all around the world. The hosts Evan Fitzgerald and Dylan Kantor had a great time with these guests and would like to thank them for coming by the studio!
Valentine mans the news desk, giving us all some updates on upcoming sets. Including the much anticipated Dominaria United. Jonathan's new commander deck hopped it's way into play. Derric opened some "vintage" cards for a new commander deck. Joe has a bunch of new Legacy decks, so we had to try those out. We started playing out our pauper bracket, wish us luck, it's a lot of magic to play out.
Jonathan and Val are absent this week, so Joe and Derric cover a bunch of topics. Legacy, check. Pauper, check. Proxies, check. Pioneer and Explorer, check. New Capenna, check. Tell us what cards you think will be all-stars from New Capenna. Derric realized AFTER recording that Pioneer is not exactly the format/sets he thought. Prior to Pioneer was a community created format called Front ier, that was in fact Khans of Tarkir forward. Pioneer is Return to Ravnica forward (Sounds like the format for Scotty.) The boys are back for the last game of the Nuggets season with a live viewing and walk-through of the 5th game in the first round of the 2022 playoffs. This episode is a play-by-play breakdown of the final game of the Nuggets season, and they recap afterwards what could have been differently. The boys also discuss the future season for the Nuggets and give an insight into what the podcast will be during the off season. Throughout the episode the group discusses news stories from varying sports, a recent story of Austin and Derric playing shuffleboard with the #2 shuffler in the state, and a look back on when Austin got too intense against a friend in a game of 21. Austin Ledabski and Dylan Kantor are two Denver based stand-up comedians with a love for sports and they have started a podcast to capture the world of athletics from their unique perspectives. This week we have our 3rd host, and sports expert, Derric Ragsdale in the studio and he is joined by a friend of the podcast Brad Hill. Unfortunately, Dylan was unable to make it on this episode but B-rad fills in to add a new perspective to the episode. Throughout the show, the hosts will recap recent games, discuss controversial plays, and different news stories from the sports world. A lot of the discussion will be about Colorado sports, but the show will encompass sports topics from around the globe. With thoughts and run-throughs of past games and predictions about future games, this show is your one stop shop for all things sports. This podcast is recorded in Denver and is a Slaughterhouse Studios production.
