Brandon Shintani is a high school sophomore out of Ridgewood High School in New Jersey but his story in business is nothing short of amazing and empowering. At the young age of 16, he is the CEO and founder of Mind Design Sports (link). Awarded and recognized as a top 20 sports psychology website by Feedspot, the brand is dedicated to empowering young athletes and the psychology needed to stay consistent with sports and business. In this piece, both Brandon and I cross interviewed each other to talk about the psychology of sports, business and success and how those elements play major roles in being great. After a dominate college career at the University of Tennessee, Houston would be drafted to the Detroit Pistons in 1993. Wade Houston is an entrepreneur and businessman from Alcoa, Tennessee with a legendary background. In 1962, he became one of the first three African-American players to sign to play basketball at the University of Louisville. In 1989, he became the first African-American coach not only at the University of Tennessee but the entire Southeastern Conference(SEC). When he fully retired in 94' from coaching, he finally committed himself to his original goal of business and has not looked back since creating several businesses along with his wife Alice and their family. But one of the most important things he learned along the way was his passion to serve others and having strong faith which has not dwindled down yet.
