This week Dave skives to go and watch some Evostick action but joins us down the line. Munns and Norton with him in studio running the finger of the dropped points of the big guns in the prem and looking at the prospects of those just behind them. We also ask is Bruce's time running short (it appears so) and Phil makes a strange prediction for Wigan! Championship, European leagues (including Europa) and tributes to the late Gary Speed also feature.
Plenty of premier league football for the panel to dissect. We analyse City's unstoppable form, United's resilience, and Chelsea's downfall. Liverpool and Spurs also get good reviews whilst we look at the 6-goal thriller at the DW. We welcome special guest Eric Howell on the show to guide us through the MLS final and the future of messers Beckham and Donovan. Europe as always gave us some key results as well as the rest of the football league with bouts of new manager syndrome in the Championship. We also admire the interesting story of a scout who can only communicate via blinking.
We go over England and Ireland's performances in detail, as well as reviewing selected other international games including the playoffs. We also interview Chris Conway over the situation with the Newcastle United stadium re-naming. Despair for Dave as we look over FA cup round 1 and look ahead to some very tasty fixtures at the weekend.
Footy Review Show looks at all the usual action from the weekend. Are Man Utd still in a rut? Are Man City officially a "great" team? Have Bolton turned a corner with an amazing turn around of the FA cup semi-final scoreline. The Championship gets a good look over, we assess the Doncaster Rovers transfer policy as well critique the potential managerial move of Pearson to Leicester. Football League, European domestic and international football all get hotly debated in this weeks episode.
The Manchester Derby is one of the main talking points, obviously! We also go over some City headlines makers on and off the pitch. The usuall reviews/ previews are in there of the Premier League, Championship, Europe and the football league - as well as a look into the importance of the carling cup. All the usual insight and banter with your regular panelists.
Champions league special! Due to problems beyond our control we cannot publish our full show for episode 3. But never fear, we took the opportunity to produce a special episode for this week, taking an in-depth look at the half-way point of the Champions League group stage.
Footy Review Show goes international! We look over the Euro qualifiers as they draw to a close. Opinion is split over Mr. Rooney and his status in the Euro finals squad. We also take a look at potential future England managers - or manager! Find out the nation that didn't know the rules regarding qualification and we look ahead to some massive games in all divisions this weekend. Insightful opinion and debate between Phil Munns, Danny Norton and Dave Taylor.
