Where we talk about life, honestly. The biggest left turn Society has taken was when we stopped having genuine conversation and I've volunteered as tribute to change that. There is no limit to the conversation only endless opportunities for learning, evol
The Honestly Helen Podcast is an incredible show that deserves all the recognition it can get. Hosted by the amazing Helen, this podcast tackles important topics and manages to make discussions about them both informative and exciting. As a guest on the show, I had a wonderful experience and I am eagerly looking forward to listening to future episodes.
One of the best aspects of The Honestly Helen Podcast is its commitment to addressing important topics. Helen has a knack for choosing subjects that are relevant and impactful, bringing attention to issues that need to be discussed. From mental health to social justice issues, each episode provides valuable insights and perspectives that can help us better understand the world around us. This podcast serves as a platform for open dialogue and education, creating an environment where listeners can engage with these important topics in a meaningful way.
Another strength of The Honestly Helen Podcast is Helen's ability to make difficult conversations exciting. While some podcasts may struggle when discussing heavy or uncomfortable topics, Helen approaches them with enthusiasm and energy, turning what could be daunting discussions into engaging ones. Her passion for these subjects is contagious and inspires listeners to actively participate in the conversation. Through her insightful questions and genuine interest in her guests' perspectives, she keeps the audience hooked throughout each episode.
While it's challenging to find any flaws in such a fantastic podcast, one potential aspect that could use improvement is the frequency of releases. As a listener eager for more thought-provoking content from The Honestly Helen Podcast, it can sometimes feel like there are long gaps between episodes. Although quality over quantity is essential, more frequent releases would ensure consistent engagement with the audience and keep them coming back for more regularly.
In conclusion, The Honestly Helen Podcast truly stands out in the podcasting landscape. With its commitment to addressing important topics and Helen's ability to turn difficult conversations into exciting ones, this show has become essential listening for anyone seeking engaging discussions on vital subjects. Whether you're a guest or a listener, you can expect a thought-provoking and enjoyable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend The Honestly Helen Podcast to everyone I know, as it has the power to educate, inspire, and create positive change in our world.
Happy 2025 to all the Blagical tribe! We made it another year and hopefully make this year an even better one. My 2024 ended in an abnormal way that let me know 2025 is going to be about perspective and being intentional. This opening episode is a soft launch into the new season! It is a solo episode but we know that doesn't stop these gems from getting dropped! I recap my 2024 and get right into how we set our goals. Welcome to the New Year and thank you for joining me again for another season of the HonestlyHelen Podcast. Xoxo, Helen
Let me start off by saying THANK YOU to my listners! This season has been a struggle bus for me just a smidge so I appreciate everyone who is still rocking with the HH Podcast! This is a unique episode, haha. Recorded last night & inspired by real life events from last night. I hope you enjoy and if nothing else, were able to pick up a gem or two that was dropped. Self-reflection is one of those skills that I don't love honing but understand the importance of it. I know that its needed for growth, that it's needed for understanding, and that it's needed to be able to guide. I hope you all enjoyed this episode and were able to grab some gems from it. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/honestlyhelen/support
Another amazing episode in the books! There will never not be a moment where I do not enjoy having these honest conversations; the freedom of thought makes me so, so happy. I had an entirely different title for this episode and then the conversation happened and then boom! We have another, more fitting title (if you listen to the episode you find out the meaning;). I got the pleasure to talk to my Rowing Coach, Gretchen about Wellness. We touched on so many different aspects of Wellness that I could not have planned a better conversation if I tried. There were several great gems dropped in this episode and I hope you were able to pick up a few, however if nothing else, I hope you enjoyed the conversation! So grateful for Gretchen in so many ways, cheers to you for being such a Wellness Warrior
My take on standing on business. Apologies for my rudeness, I may have been experiencing road rage while recording.

There's something different about recording an episode with someone that has such a calm and cool demeanor, haha. Memorial weekend may have thrown off my timeline and this episode is just a little late (better late than never they say!) however, still a goodie! In this episode I talk with Wanya, the owner of Gooderdenamug (our man is a Chef, a pastry chef too!) about social media expectations. I may sound like a broken record, but it's true: the best episodes are the ones that go in a different direction than what I expected. Wanya and I touch on social media expectations in different ways; business, personal, relationships, etc. I hope you were able to pick up a gem or two and if nothing else, enjoyed the episode!Check Wanya out on all social media platforms for his Catering company Gooderdenamug.com Xoxo, Helen --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/honestlyhelen/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/honestlyhelen/support
Another episode recorded, (lightly) edited, and published! Although this season is giving me a run for my money, these conversations?! Giving me all the life!! This was such a treat to record not only because it was *in person* it was also with my girl, Asmara! It was such a pleasure going down memory lane while also having such insightful conversation. We talking Fnding Yourself on this episode and I really enjoyed the natural flow of the conversation (with a little razzle dazzle from being tipsy
"you can't be mad at someone else for not managing your own distractions well" Now THAT is a one liner! Here is the long-awaited (for me LOL) episode four; Managing Distractions that I got to record with my good friend, Jeremy C! If you listened to episode 3 then the beginning conversation of this episode makes all the sense, if you're jumping in at episode 6 (welcome), just keep listening, they aren't related :P. This was such an easy conversation to have and I am so blessed to be able to share these conversations with you all. As always, I hope you are able to pick up some gems along this conversation and if nothing else, you enjoyed this honest conversation :) Xoxo,Helen --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/honestlyhelen/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/honestlyhelen/support

Anotha one in the books! I remember the first time I heard the people we interact with as a Tree--some people are in our lives for a long time (the branch) and some people are in our lives for a season (leaves/blooms) and some people help sustain us and stay with us (the trunk). Change is inevitable and I get the pleasure of talking to a good friend of mine, Michele about the Seasons of Life. Y'all know I like to let the convo take us where it decides to go and this episode is no different; I enjoyed the different ebb and flow of the honesty in this episode. Embrace change, be the change, find ways to do something different (that is change!) I hope you were able to grab some good gems from this episode but if nothing else, enjoy this episode. (Sidenote: I say B*tch as an endearment to the girls I LOVE, so please, no hard feelings
Let me start off by saying LOVE is LOVE; I support all LOVE. I also want to encourage black love, black support, black reciprocity, and that's the point of this specific episode. Now, it's the way this episode is so good from beginning to end AND it's my longest one to date. In this episode I had the pleasure of speaking with Parris about the relationship between black men and black women. This conversation was a genuine back and forth of honesty and I don't think I could have chosen a better guest to have this conversation. As always, I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did and if nothing else, you were able to take a way some good gems. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/honestlyhelen/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/honestlyhelen/support
Anotha one! I will always be humbled by my guest wanting genuinely to be on the podcast. ️ In this episode I get the pleasure of talking to Deion who is a very talented brotha with his hands in different pots which is what we talk about: being multifaceted. One thing I really love is being able to talk about the same topic yet not, ya know? Deion takes us on his journey through his different businesses and some challenges and successes that he has gone through being in different spaces. We keep it honest and always, I'm grateful to have guests who come ready to share, authentically and also educate me on things they enjoy. I really hope you guys were able to grab some gems and if nothing else, enjoy the good vibes! It's a new month and y'all know the vibes: new goals to set, goals to reevaluate, and goals to reset! Wishing y'all a great October
One thing about Helen, we gonna do some pouring into my guest when I can & we love when it's reciprocated. This episode is all that and more (I love when I can keep a ‘blooper' in an episode because it fits the vibe of the episode and/or it's genuine conversation happening). I had the pleasure of recording with Ashton to record and we talk teacher life. Once upon a time I wanted to be a teacher, so to sit down with a teacher who didn't want to be one, was ironic and so fun. Ashton talked us through her process of being an intentional teacher and what it means to show up for her kids. In addition to that, my girl has her own business (Vintage' 88 Gear—make sure y'all go check that out on Instagram!) Also sending Khalil (RIH)
This is a special one because y'all catch a different side of me
Another amazing episode in the books! I promise I try to keep them under an hour but sometimes the convo be too good! On this episode I get the pleasure of talking with Taffiney--soon to be licensed as a Marriage & Family therapist! If there is one thing you need to know about me: imma always follow the good vibes especially when it can be with a strong woman. We get to talk about what we think love is from a multitude of lenses and let me say, I really enjoyed recording this episode! Self love will always be the best love and the strongest foundation for any of us ❤️. Y'all this episode was so fun AND enlightening I was too happy to edit it haha. I had the pleasure of interviewing the ReBrandUs Podcast about Marriage and their views. What was so fun about it was that we got the perspective from 3 different black men who have been married for at least 6+ years. We talk about what a healthy marriage looks like, respect for men, and more! As always I hope you are able to take some gems from this episode and if nothing else, I hope you enjoyed this episode! Sometimes I use my Shenanigans as a audio journal
Another episode recorded and this one is a solo one! I don't know why recording solo makes me more nervous than recording with a guest haha. In this episode I talk about Beauty and being a woman. Recently I've thought a lot on this topic and thought it would be a good topic to do solo to just get my unfiltered thoughts out. I bounce around a little from beauty, to sex, to holding ourselves to a higher standard in general. Fun fact: I normally don't edit too much when recording a solo episode; so you will hear my train of thought authentically in this episode :D. I hope you were able to grab some gems in this episode and if nothing else, enjoyed it!Thank you for your continued support :D --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/honestlyhelen/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/honestlyhelen/support
New month, same attitude: let's hit a goal! If no one has told you: I AM PROUD OF YOU! Proud of your progress, proud of your resiliency, and proud of your ability to help others. You rock
Y'all bear with me in this episode
And we are just on a roll with another episode in the books! Being able to learn from another's perspective is always so enlightening in my opinion. This episode is a great example of this because I get to talk to Jay about Men and Emotions (forbidden, I know!) I feel like there is a miscommunication happening in relationships between men and women due to how we express ourselves and how we connect with others. I hope you were able to pick up some good gems but if nothing else, I hope you enjoyed this episode! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/honestlyhelen/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/honestlyhelen/support
Another quick Shenanigans episode for ya
And we got another one in the books! In this episode, I get the pleasure of talking with Berrin, who was on Season TWO (can we say time flies?!). I may or may not have changed the topic just a smidgen on Berrin
Y'all already know: new month, cross off a goal or create one. We got 31 days this month! Let's make it count
Another dope episode in the books! In this episode I get to touch on some boundaries with my good girl Tania, host of Notoriousmomzthepodcast (make sure you give her a follow on all platforms!) We talk: kids, parents, and partners and how our boundaries (or lack thereof) has impacted us. Whew, we made it to FIVE seasons! With most episodes that have only me as the speaker, this episode is just an extended Shenanigans, haha. Seriously though, I touch on loneliness vs. being alone, self awareness, and a little bit about my single journey thus far.
