Why did Jesus shed His blood—and what does that mean for us today? In this powerful message, Pastor Jamie Wright unpacks the deep spiritual truth behind the blood of Jesus. Far from being a symbol of wrath or appeasement, the blood is a declaration of victory, reconciliation, and relentless love. You'll learn that Jesus didn't shed His blood to change God's mind about us—but to change our hearts, cleanse our conscience, and bridge the gap we could never cross on our own.

Send us a textCoach David J. Greer joins us to share wisdom gleaned from his remarkable 40-year entrepreneurial journey and decade of business coaching. Our conversation dives deep into what truly drives business success beyond conventional growth metrics.David introduces us to the power of the one-page strategic plan, a methodology that transforms business planning by starting with your desired future state and working backward. Rather than focusing on incremental improvements, this approach creates clarity around markets, capabilities, and quarterly goals that align with your true vision. It's a refreshing departure from the reactive planning most entrepreneurs default to.One of the most thought-provoking moments comes when David challenges the "if you're not growing, you're dying" mentality that permeates many industries. He makes a compelling case that success should be defined by the entrepreneur, not industry standards or societal expectations. For shed business owners feeling pressured to constantly expand, this perspective offers permission to pursue profitability and personal fulfillment instead of growth for growth's sake. The conversation takes a powerful turn when David courageously shares his recovery journey from alcoholism, illustrating how seeking help—whether for personal challenges or business growth—can be transformative. His vulnerability reveals a truth many entrepreneurs resist: we cannot solve every problem alone, and sometimes our fear of success proves more limiting than our fear of failure. For shed industry professionals specifically, David offers strategic insights on navigating the shift to online retail, helping second-generation owners find their "why," and addressing industry fragmentation. His suggestion to focus excellently on serving the majority of customers rather than attempting to accommodate every unique case strikes a practical balance between growth and sustainability.Whether you're struggling with strategic planning, defining success on your terms, or simply finding joy in your business again, this conversation will leave you with practical tools and a fresh perspective. And don't miss David's generous offer of a free one-hour coaching session—sometimes, an outside perspective is exactly what's needed to transform your business journey. For more information or to know more about the Shed Geek Podcast visit us at our website.Follow us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube at the handle @shedgeekpodcast.To be a guest on the Shed Geek Podcast visit our website and fill out the "Contact Us" form.To suggest show topics or ask questions you want answered email us at info@shedgeek.com.This episodes Sponsors:Studio Sponsor: Shed ProCalculate Business ServiceDigital Shed BuilderMy Shed SolutionsiFABShed Hub

We've all been there.Have you ever been to the shop and started talking to a sales person and totally forget that not everyone is as tuned in to scene as you are? We're all enthusiasts about Shedtime, but for some people, they don't even notice the subtleties that we do.Do you know the story of the DARE Program? Sean share's a little of the back story and how the DARE program was doomed to fail from the start. The government has anounced rule changes for garden sheds, garages and backyard studios. Under the new rules single sheds or building structures under 10 square metres can be as close to your property boundary as you like. Single storey detached garages or studios up to 30 square metres will only have to be a metre back from the boundary with the neighbour with no building consent required. Building and Construction Minister Chris Penk spoke to Lisa Owen.

Send us a textWhat happens when life brings you to your breaking point? For shed hauler Daniel, a catastrophic injury left him bedridden for six months, plunging him into depression that nearly destroyed his business. Just when recovery seemed possible, tragedy struck again with the death of a beloved employee in a car accident. Yet today, he runs a thriving operation with a surprising sense of peace and purpose. The secret? A complete transformation in thinking about business, leadership, and life itself. "The power of letting your yes be yes and your no be no, leaving emotions out of it, is amazing," Daniel shares, describing how setting clear boundaries without emotional charge revolutionized his customer interactions. This philosophy extends beyond business to personal challenges, including navigating his wife's cancer treatment by maintaining an even keel through both good and bad news.Daniel's story challenges conventional wisdom about business success. When he gathered his team to announce he was quitting, he discovered there was nowhere else to go. This moment of being trapped became the catalyst for working with a coach who helped develop company values and a mission statement: "Our purpose is to offer high-quality customer service." This foundation created what Daniel calls "a more freeing" approach to business where team members operate with ownership mentality. Most powerfully, Daniel reveals how the shed industry became the backdrop for deeper life lessons about significance and legacy. "If I died today, have I done the best with what I knew?" he asks, transforming everyday operations into opportunities for meaningful impact. His vulnerability about physical pain, emotional darkness, and business uncertainty demonstrates how our hardest experiences often become our greatest points of connection when shared openly.Ready to transform your own business approach? For so many people, excess weight isn't about laziness or lack of willpower — it's about carrying unspoken stories. It's about living in a body that holds the weight of feelings your voice never got to share. Because when you can't tell the truth — or even acknowledge what's real — your body will speak for you. But what if the path to healing and releasing the excess weight is actually about allowing yourself to feel what you've buried? When you finally let yourself feel the big feelings, you stop accumulating them. You don't have to numb out. You don't need to overeat, overspend, scroll endlessly, or surround yourself with things you don't need. You don't have to create padding — emotional or physical — between you and the world. The problem is, society doesn't want you to feel your feelings. When you're asleep to your own inner world, it's easier to move you through a life that isn't really yours. But what if you did something different? What if you turned those long-buried truths into tears — and, ultimately, into wholeness and aliveness? In this episode, Sophie shares her own journey through weight loss, and how it was really about releasing what she'd been suppressing. We also explore how to turn coping mechanisms you once needed to survive into tools for healing and coming home to yourself. Things You'll Learn In This Episode -The real reason you might be overeating What if your late-night binges aren't about hunger at all — but about the feelings you're afraid might break you open? How does food become a veil between us and the truth? -From hypervigilance to intuition If you grew up needing to read the room for safety, how can you shift that survival skill into a superpower — and trust your inner knowing instead? -How to hold structure and flow at the same time Is it possible to be both strategic and intuitive? Logical and creative? How can straddling both worlds transform your career and relationships? -Feeling as liberation Why is letting yourself fully feel sadness or anger one of the most radical acts of self-love — and how can it set you free?
