Day 2 features a loving-kindness affirmation practice—a single phrase to steady the mind and soften self-criticism. Inspired by the Gita's teaching of friendliness and compassion toward all beings and informed by modern RCT reviews of loving-kindness interventions. ABOUT THIS WEEK'S LOVING-KINDNESS JOURNEY Welcome to Loving-Kindness Meditation: A Daily Heart-Opening Series—a 7-day journey into the ancient practice of cultivating a steady, compassionate heart. This isn't "be positive" meditation, and it isn't personality-based inspiration. It's a classical inner training—rooted in timeless yogic reflections on maitrī (friendliness), compassion, joy, and equanimity—so your mind becomes clearer, your nervous system steadier, and your relationships more spacious. Across this week, you'll build a simple, repeatable heart practice using one focused technique each day: a loving-kindness visualization, a single phrase of kindness, calming breathwork, a heart-opening mudra, a heart-center (4th chakra) nurture practice, a layered "heart stack" you can use anytime, and a gentle weekly review to embody what you've learned. Come as you are—guarded, tender, hopeful, tired, or open. Loving-kindness doesn't require a perfect mood. It only asks for a sincere return. In just a few minutes each day, you'll practice opening the heart with steadiness—so compassion becomes less of an idea and more of a lived inner home. This is day 2 of a 7-day meditation series, "Loving-Kindness Meditation: A Daily Heart-Opening Series" episodes 3465-3471. THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE - "META-MICRO MISSION" Each day, send one tiny ripple of kindness: silently offer a loving-kindness phrase to yourself, a neutral person, and a difficult moment (not necessarily a difficult person). Keep it light—3 breaths each— and track your streak with a simple checkmark. THIS WEEK'S MEDITATION JOURNEY Day 1: Compassion Visualization Day 2: Affirmation: "My heart is open and safe." Day 3: Heart Coherent Breath: Inhale for 5, Exhale for 5, Repeat for 10 rounds. (Option: inhale "soften, exhale "kindness.") Day 4: Lotus mudra for opening your heart Day 5: Fourth chakra for love and gratitude Day 6: Loving-Kindness Flow meditation, combining the week's techniques Day 7: Weekly review meditation and closure SHARE YOUR MEDITATION JOURNEY WITH YOUR FELLOW MEDITATORS Let's connect and inspire each other! Maximize Your Reach: The Power of Repurposing ContentIn this episode, Scott Carson breaks down the "Rinse and Repeat" method, a marketing strategy used by global giants like McDonald's to stay top-of-mind with their audience. Many investors make the mistake of "one and done" marketing—posting a video or sending a letter once and giving up when they don't see immediate results. Scott argues that to truly scale a real estate or note investing business, you must embrace remarketing your content, pitch decks, and case studies to ensure you are seen by more than just the small percentage of followers reached by initial algorithms. By leveraging modern AI tools and strategic scheduling, you can turn a single piece of high-quality content into a continuous lead-generation machine.Key Topics Covered:The McDonald's Marketing Model: Scott explains how major brands run the same 30-second ad thousands of times a week to build brand recognition, contrasting this with the typical investor's "one and done" approach. The 15-Minute Pitch Deck: Learn why a concise, fifteen-minute pitch deck is your most powerful tool for raising capital and how to effectively "chum the water" to attract private investors.AI-Enhanced Repurposing: Discover how to use tools like Gemini to transform one video transcript into multiple SEO-rich blogs, descriptions, and social media posts, making AI think you have more content than you actually do.Strategic Scheduling and Re-streaming: Scott shares his personal workflow for using tools like Restream and Buffer to broadcast live content multiple times and rotate infographics daily to maintain a consistent presence.Leveraging YouTube Analytics: Insights into using your channel's "Audience" data to determine the optimal times for uploading and live-streaming to maximize engagement and algorithm favor.Success in raising capital and closing deals isn't just about creating content; it's about making sure that content is seen repeatedly by your target audience. Most sales are made after the fifth contact, yet most investors stop after the first. By applying the rinse and repeat method—tweaking titles, updating thumbnails, and rescheduling your best assets—you can build the credibility and recognition needed to dominate your local market. As Scott says, don't let your hard work fall on deaf ears; take action, use the tools available, and see you at the top.Watch the Original Video of this Episode HERE!Book a Call With Scott HERE!Sign up for the next FREE One-Day Note Class HERE!Sign up for the WCN Membership HERE!Sign up for the next Note Buying For Dummies Workshop HERE!Love the show? Your child lies. You catch them. They double down. Now what? When an 8-year-old swears they didn’t sneak the TV or the treats (even with chocolate on their face), most parents panic about what it means for the future. In this episode of The Happy Families Podcast, Justin and Kylie explain why lying is normal, why punishment makes it worse, and how to respond in a way that builds honesty instead of fear. If you want truth without tears, this conversation changes everything. KEY POINTS Lying is a developmental milestone, not a moral collapse. The harsher the punishment, the better kids get at hiding. Shame damages relationships and kills honesty. Most lies are about avoiding trouble or getting access to something they want. The goal isn’t catching kids out — it’s solving the problem together. You’ll have this conversation again and again. That’s normal parenting. QUOTE OF THE EPISODE “Lying is not a moral crisis. It’s a teachable moment.” RELATED RESOURCES #846 An Honest Conversation [podcast episode] ACTION STEPS FOR PARENTS Stay calm. Avoid lectures and threats. Say what you see instead of asking trap questions. Make it safe to tell the truth. Explain your concerns (health, sleep, fairness). Collaborate on a plan everyone can live with. Truths Inspiring Me About Confidence and Character — A Conversation with My Son Sometimes the most convicting spiritual lessons don't come from a sermon. They come from hearing a child say something honest— something simple— and realizing God is speaking through it. And as you listen to this conversation about habits, confidence, and walking with Jesus, you may feel that gentle nudge to return to what's true. Lean into that. Because your habits are always taking you somewhere. And the small choices you make today shape who you become tomorrow. You Don't Drift Into Confidence You might think confidence is a personality trait. Something you either have or you don't. But confidence is rarely about personality. It's about formation. It's about what you repeatedly do. When you build habits that align with truth — reading Scripture, practicing gratitude, caring for your body, choosing honesty — something steady begins forming inside of you. Not hype. Not ego. Not loud self-assertion. But quiet strength. And the opposite is also true. When you repeatedly avoid truth, bend honesty, indulge jealousy, or neglect your health, that forms something too. And eventually, that formation becomes your character. You don't wake up one day confident or insecure by accident. You drift there — one habit at a time. What You Feed Your Mind Shapes Your Identity If you only occasionally open your Bible, what fills the gap? Your worries. Your spouse's tone. Your insecurities. The voice in your head that says you're not enough. But when you consistently feed your mind the truth of Scripture, something changes. You begin to live from being cared for. Not striving for approval. Not grasping for validation. But anchored in being loved. You cannot feel confident if you don't believe you are deeply cared for. And that belief doesn't grow accidentally. It grows through repetition. Gratitude Rewires Your Perspective If you only focus on what you don't have, you will start to believe you have nothing. You will compare. You will resent. You will feel behind. And even when you do get what you wanted, it won't satisfy you — because comparison has already shaped your lens. But when you practice gratitude — intentionally naming what is good — you retrain your heart to see abundance. You begin to notice: God has been kind. God has provided. God has not left you alone. Gratitude doesn't ignore pain. It simply refuses to let pain define the whole story. And that builds stability. That builds joy. That builds confidence rooted in truth rather than circumstance. Your Body Matters More Than You Think You are not "just a soul." You are embodied. Jesus didn't come as a concept. He came in flesh. Your body is not accidental. It is not disposable. Scripture calls it a temple of the Holy Spirit. When you neglect your body — through constant exhaustion, poor nourishment, or silent self-criticism — you aren't just affecting your health. You are shaping how you see yourself. And when you care for your body — even in small ways — you are saying: "This matters. God's creation matters." Confidence grows when you respect what God has given you. Not in pride. But in stewardship. The Habit That Quietly Undermines Everything Let's talk about honesty. You may not consider yourself a liar. But do you exaggerate to seem more impressive? Withhold truth to avoid discomfort? Bend the story to protect your image? Lies feel small in the moment. But every time you tell one, something inside you weakens. Because you know the truth. Even if no one else does — you do. And when you repeatedly override your own integrity, you slowly erode your own confidence. You cannot feel strong while betraying yourself. Real confidence is inseparable from integrity. And integrity requires courage — especially when no one is watching. God Delights in Integrity Zephaniah says something stunning: "The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing." -Zephaniah 3:17 ESV But just before that, it speaks of a people who refuse deceit, who walk humbly, who seek the Lord. "Yes, I will punish those who participate in pagan worship ceremonies, and those who fill their masters' houses with violence and deceit." -Zephaniah 1:9 NLT God delights in truth. God delights in humility. God delights in integrity. Not because He is demanding perfection — but because integrity aligns you with how you were created to live. When you choose honesty. When you confess sin. When you turn from a habit that weakens you — even if you fail again tomorrow — you are stepping toward freedom. You are stepping toward formation. And God delights in that movement. You Are Not Stuck If you're listening and thinking: "I have bad habits." "I've let things slide." "I don't like who I've been becoming." Hear this clearly: You are not stuck. Habits can be unlearned. Patterns can be interrupted. Integrity can be rebuilt. Start small. Choose one habit. One verse. One act of gratitude. One moment of honesty. Repeat it. Push through the discomfort. Because the first time you choose differently, it will feel awkward. The fifth time, it will feel possible. The fiftieth time, it will feel like you. The Person You're Becoming You are always becoming someone. Not someday. Today. Your habits are forming the atmosphere of your home. Your habits are shaping your marriage. Your habits are influencing how your children see faith. Your habits are determining how you see yourself. So lean into that gentle nudge. Not with shame. But with resolve. You don't need dramatic reinvention. You need daily alignment. And when you choose small, faithful obedience — again and again — you will wake up one day and realize: You didn't just build better habits. You built stronger character. And from that character, real confidence grew. And that kind of confidence? It cannot be shaken. Repeat after me - some money is NOT better than no money. In this Sales is NOT a Dirty Word episode, I walk through a real client situation that exposes how easy it is to agree too quickly, stay vague to preserve harmony, or assume clarity will come later. Those small boundary lapses rarely feel urgent in the moment, but over time they erode trust, damage mental health and compromise results. What this conversation keeps returning to is a simple but often resisted truth: boundaries are not performative self-care. They are structural. They make responsibility, scope, and value explicit, which is what actually protects working relationships. Inside this episode, you will learn: Why exceptions and special arrangements tend to fail without shared context How to articulate scope clearly without defensiveness or rigidity What to say when requests drift beyond what was originally agreed upon Why betting on future potential creates misalignment rather than goodwill The language and reframes to use to prevent difficult conversations later, rather than managing them after the fact If you have ever felt uneasy about an agreement but moved forward anyway, or worried that naming your limits would damage the relationship, this offers a more grounded way forward. If you want support developing clear, humane boundary language or navigating complex client dynamics without escalation, you can book a Sales Level-Up Call and we will work through it together in real time: https://calendly.com/aleasha/salesteam-levelup 01:18 – The “special rate” client story that sparked this episode 02:40 – When assumptions backfire: budget complaints and blurred lines 04:05 – The danger of betting on potential instead of present reality 05:15 – Why clients can't value what you don't name 06:30 – Three ways to respond to out-of-scope requests 08:10 – How to frame boundaries with confidence and clarity 09:50 – Why no boundaries = lost clients and revenue 11:00 – The myth of “some money is better than no money” 12:10 – A powerful reframe: boundaries make you more referable #SalesIsNotADirtyWord #SalesBoundaries #PeoplePleaserRecovery #ClientCommunication #HighIntegritySales #ServiceProviderLife #ScopeCreep #ClientExpectations #SalesWithoutPressure #BlackSheepSales #AleashaBahr #SalesMindsetShift #PricingWithConfidence #SalesCoaching #SalesStrategy #EmotionalIntelligenceInSales #ClientRedFlags #SalesPodcast #NoMoreDiscountDeals #BoundariesBuildTrust Connect With Aleasha: Website - https://aleashabahr.com/ LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/aleashabahr/ YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@aleashabahr

Why This Episode Matters:Modern music makes it easy to confuse polish with substance. In this episode, Moo Latte breaks down why musical ideas, not production techniques, are still the core of work that lasts. From deep listening and sketch-based workflows to creative restraint and long-term sustainability, this conversation reframes productivity, taste, and originality for producers navigating an increasingly automated landscape.Who is Moo Latte:Moo Latte is a producer, guitarist, and composer known for emotionally rich compositions that sit somewhere between jazz, soul, hip-hop, and cinematic music. With a background in formal music study and years of production experience, his work emphasizes harmony, movement, and intention over trends. What We Dive Into:* Why modern music often relies more on production than composition* Deep listening as a skill and how it shapes taste over time* Starting ideas away from the computer* Singing melodies before choosing instruments* Call and response as an underused compositional tool* Why constraints unlock creativity* Short, timed sketch sessions as an idea engine* Objectivity through distance and bouncing early* Content creation burnout and sustainable output* Why relying too heavily on AI weakens creative problem-solvingThree Key Takeaways:* Strong ideas survive without sound design: If a song doesn't work when stripped down to melody and harmony, production won't save it.* Constraints create clarity: Limiting instruments, time, and options reduces decision fatigue and sharpens creative intent.* Creativity is a muscle, not a shortcut: Outsourcing thinking weakens long-term growth. The work is the point. Before You Go:Try this for your next session: set a 20-minute timer. Choose a fixed set of instruments. Finish when the timer ends. Bounce it. Don't judge it. Repeat.Over time, quantity becomes quality.Chapters:0:00 – Intro1:42 – Moo Latte's background and musical roots6:18 – Composition vs production11:04 – Deep listening and developing taste16:27 – Singing ideas before producing22:10 – Harmony, movement, and emotional intent28:55 – Call and response in composition34:41 – Sketching ideas quickly40:12 – Objectivity through distance and bouncing early45:58 – Finishing vs overworking51:36 – Content creation and creative burnout57:44 – Sustainable routines and creative longevity1:03:22 – Constraints as a creative tool1:09:48 – Training the creative muscle1:16:30 – AI, tools, and creative responsibility1:23:55 – Quick hits1:31:40 – Final reflections1:34:50 – OutroList of References from the Interview:Artists* J Dilla* The Beatles* BadBadNotGood* Robert GlasperTools / Concepts* Timed sketch sessions* Call and response* Deep listening* Constraint-based creativityConnect with Moo Latte:* YouTube: @moolattemusic* Instagram: @moolattemusic* Spotify: Moo Latte* Apple Music: Moo LatteConnect with Toru:* Website: torubeat.com* Instagram: @torubeat* YouTube: @torubeat* Spotify: Toru* Apple Music: ToruCredits:This episode was co-produced, engineered and edited by Matthew Diaz. Learn how to use strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to uncover blind spots, improve hiring, and align your team around smarter decisions. In This Episode, You'll Learn Why documentation burnout is one of the biggest frustrations for clinicians How a movement-first retreat cadence improves focus, creativity, and team connection What a SWOT analysis is and how to run it with your staff Why you need team members who see the world differently than you do How to spot alignment themes your clinic should prioritize immediately How this exercise strengthens culture by making staff feel heard and valued How to Run a SWOT Analysis With Your Team Have everyone write down Strengths. Share answers, discuss differences, and note where there is strong agreement. Repeat for Weaknesses. Look for blind spots, bottlenecks, and internal issues the owner may not see day to day. In this conversation recorded at the 2025 Capital Irish Film Festival, host Martin Nutty sits down with two trailblazing Irish filmmakers who are pushing boundaries in their respective genres.Aislinn Clarke discusses her groundbreaking Irish-language horror film Fréwaka, exploring how her childhood love of horror (she saw The Exorcist at seven!) and her father's commitment to preserving the Irish language converged into a unique cinematic vision. Clarke reveals the gift of discovering the perfect location for the film in Ravensdale Forest, and why horror fans have always embraced foreign language films. With international distribution through IFC Shutter and more projects in development, Clarke is proving that Irish-language cinema can compete on the global stage.Tanya Doyle takes us behind the scenes of her five-year documentary odyssey Eat, Sleep, Cheer, and Repeat, which follows Ireland's cheerleading team to the World Championships in Florida. What began as a search for a film about women in sport became an intimate portrait of athleticism, identity, and belonging. Doyle shares the moment she knew cheerleading was the story—watching a young competitor vomit from sheer physical exertion—and defends the sport against anyone who questions its legitimacy. With 160 hours of footage to wrangle and characters lost to COVID shutdowns, the film became a testament to resilience both on and off screen. Both filmmakers discuss the challenges of funding independent cinema in Ireland, the intimacy of the editing process, and the importance of creating spaces where diverse stories can flourish. Whether you're interested in horror, documentary filmmaking, Irish language revival, or women in sport, this episode offers rich insights into the craft and passion of contemporary Irish cinema.LinksFilmsPreview: Eat, Sleep, Cheer, and RepeatPreview: FréwakaAislinn ClarkeIMDBInstagramTanya DoyleIMDBLinkedInGriffith CollegeSolas NuaCapital Irish Film FestivalIrish Stew LinksWebsiteFacebookInstagramLinkedInMedia Partner: IrishCentralEpisode Details: Season 8, Episode 7; Total Episode Count: 148
LESSON 40I Am Blessed As A Son Of God.Today we will begin to assert some of the happy things to which you are entitled, being what you are. No long practice periods are required today, but very frequent short ones are necessary. Once every ten minutes would be highly desirable, and you are urged to attempt this schedule and to adhere to it whenever possible. If you forget, try again. If there are long interruptions, try again. Whenever you remember, try again. You need not close your eyes for the exercise periods, although you will probably find it more helpful if you do. However, you may be in a number of situations during the day when closing your eyes would not be feasible. Do not miss a practice period because of this. You can practice quite well under any circumstances, if you really want to.Today's exercises take little time and no effort. Repeat the idea for today, and then add several of the attributes you associate with being a Son of God, applying them to yourself. One practice period might, for example, consist of the following:I am blessed as a Son of God.I am happy, peaceful, loving and contented.Another might take this form:I am blessed as a Son of God.I am calm, quiet, assured and confident. If only a brief period is available, merely telling yourself that you are blessed as a Son of God will do.- Jesus Christ in ACIM

We'd love to hear from you. What are your thoughts and questions? In this episode, Allen Lomax interviews Joel Kraut, a seasoned private lender and mortgage broker with over 20 years of experience in the real estate financing sector. The conversation delves into the complexities of lending, particularly in scenarios where traditional banks often decline loans. Joel shares his insights on the evolution of the lending industry, highlighting how perceptions have shifted from viewing hard money lenders as 'evil' to recognizing them as essential partners in real estate investment. He emphasizes the importance of understanding risk, responsibility, and the strategic use of leverage in building wealth through real estate.Joel also discusses the BRRRR strategy (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat), sharing his personal journey and the lessons learned from both successes and failures in the real estate market. He stresses the significance of disciplined financial planning, the dangers of excessive leverage, and the need for investors to conduct thorough due diligence. The episode concludes with Joel's perspective on what true wealth means, advocating for a personalized approach to financial goals and the importance of actionable planning in achieving long-term success.Main Points:Lending has evolved from being seen as predatory to a valuable business solution.Understanding risk is crucial; losing is part of the game, but being unprepared is not.Leverage can be a powerful tool if used judiciously and with proper cash flow management. The BRRRR strategy can lead to significant growth if executed correctly, but it requires careful planning.True wealth is about having control over your time and financial freedom, not just accumulating money.Connect with Joel Kraut:jkraut@brrrr.comhttps://www.brrrr.com/FB: Brrrr_LoansInsta: @brrrr_loansYT: Brrrr_loansTiktok: Brrrr_loansNew course coming Q1 of 2026 -- training.brrrrmasters.com

Want more readers who buy, finish, and recommend your books? It starts with one thing most authors underestimate: keeping the promise your brand makes. In this episode, we break down the real driver of sustainable author growth—reader trust—and why clear genre signals, accurate positioning, and consistent delivery outperform hype every time.We begin with expectation alignment: how your cover, subtitle, and book description create an instant promise in a shopper's mind. When the vibe is off—or the opening pages don't match the pitch—clicks disappear and reviews quietly signal the disconnect with phrases like “not what I expected.” We show you how to read those reviews as marketing intelligence, spotting language patterns that reveal whether your tone, pacing, tropes, and emotional promise are landing as intended. From there, we tackle consistency: unified series branding, predictable communication, and an author website that speaks clearly to your ideal reader, not just your aesthetic preferences. We also call out overhyped copy and vague clichés—why words like “unputdownable” often dilute your positioning, and how to replace them with specific, sensory hooks that only fit your book. You'll learn how to create a simple Reader Expectation Statement—an internal compass that guides your covers, copy, and content decisions. We also use Amazon ads as a practical gut check: when relevant targets don't click, the issue is often misaligned packaging, not bad keywords. The fix is usually small and strategic—tightening your first three blurb lines, adjusting your cover to match top comps, or refining subtitle language—rather than a full rebrand.Throughout, the focus stays on retention. Repeat readers are easier to reach, faster to convert, and the true engine behind word-of-mouth growth. When you treat readers like partners—showing up with clarity, respect, and consistency—you build a brand they trust and return to.If you're ready to trade noise for loyalty, and quick hacks for durable growth, this conversation gives you a clear path forward. If this helped, follow the show, share it with an author friend, and leave a quick reSend us your feedback!Help shape our 2026 content by taking our 30-second listener poll!

Joey Andrews doesn't just race cars—he does it anonymously, fearlessly, and flat-out fast. Known on track as "The Stiglette," Joey has built a reputation for precision driving, competitive racing, and pushing machinery to its limits without ever making it about ego. In this episode, we go behind the helmet to talk about how the Stiglette persona was born, what it takes to compete at a high level, and why discipline, data, and seat time matter more than hype. Smart Agency Masterclass with Jason Swenk: Podcast for Digital Marketing Agencies
Would you like access to our advanced agency training for FREE? https://www.agencymastery360.com/training Do you feel underpaid, misunderstood, or stuck explaining why your work costs what it costs? Most agency owners don't wake up one day and decide, "You know what sounds fun? Running an agency." They stumble into it, usually because the job market fails them. That's exactly how today's featured guest got her start. In this episode, she'll unpack how slowly building her confidence as she gained more experienced changed her perspective on pricing and why most "thought leadership" content does more harm than good. Alicia Disantis is the owner and creative director of 38th & Kip Studio, a dual branding and design studio celebrating 15 years in business. She founded the agency during the 2008 recession, which is about as pressure-filled a launchpad as you can imagine. Before building a sustainable agency, Alicia wore a lot of creative hats: video game character artist for early mobile games, comic book artist for an urban vampire/werewolf series, and unpaid intern at a graphic design. These experiences heavily shaped how she thinks about value, pricing, and positioning today. In this episode, we'll discuss: Why agency pricing should feel scary. Educating clients who think your work is "easy." An approach to thought leadership that actually creates value. Creating a Unique Path that Lead to Agency Ownership Like many agency owners, Alicia didn't start with a master plan. She started with a student loan bill that arrived a month before graduation and over a hundred job applications that led nowhere. When the traditional path failed, she did what resourceful creatives do: she pieced together work wherever she could find it. Freelance gigs turned into repeat work. Repeat work turned into confidence. And eventually, confidence turned into a business. She went from being an unpaid intern, to game designer, to a comic book designer, and forged a unique path, going from charging just $200 for her first freelance job to earning the confidence she needed to believe she could build her own business. Most agencies are born from survival more than a carefully thought business plan. The danger is that when you start that way, you often carry survival pricing and survival thinking far longer than you should. That early context matters, because it explains why so many agency owners struggle to raise prices later. From $200 Clients to Pricing That Feels Scary (In a Good Way) Alicia's first client paid her $200. She also did a lot of free work, because at the time, that felt like the only way in. What changed over the years wasn't some magic pricing formula. It was confidence. Marketing and creative work is deeply undervalued, especially compared to STEM or "expert" services. People don't argue over a $250 legal consult but they will argue endlessly over a logo. As Alicia grew, she learned three critical skills: Educating clients on the real cost of doing work right Having the confidence to say no Quoting prices that made her a little uncomfortable It wasn't easy, but mostly it just took time. How to Educate Clients Who Think a Logo Is "Easy" Alicia managed to reframe the value of branding for skeptical clients not by arguing but by analogizing. Instead of defending design directly, she compares it to plumbing, legal work, or real estate. You wouldn't hire a $5 freelancer to represent you in civil court, so why would you do that for the thing that represents your entire business? This framing does two things: It removes emotion from the conversation It positions branding as expert work, not artistic preference Clients should also understand the hidden cost of "cheap" solutions, especially with websites. Hiring a friend or a bargain provider usually leads to cut corners, broken functionality, and stalled growth when the person inevitably disappears. The goal isn't to lead with fear. It's to calmly explain consequences and let the client decide if cheap is really cheaper. Thought Leadership That Builds Trust (Not Clickbait) Thought leadership is an area where Alicia found significant success creating valuable educational content. In her view, it's also something most agencies get wrong. The problem isn't content volume. It's content relevance. In her experience, the key to producing this content is leading with research on what people want to hear about. She's also encountered many white papers that don't even offer any takeaways or new perspectives, which ends up diluting the trust on your brand. Alicia insists that everything she produces or is a part of must have key takeaways that her audience can translate into a real technical plan. She shared a four-part framework she uses before creating educational content: Motivation – Why does the audience care right now? Pain points – What problem are they actually trying to solve? Literacy level – How well do they understand the subject? Communication style – How do they prefer to consume information? The literacy piece is where most agencies mess up. If you speak marketing jargon to an audience that doesn't have that literacy, you don't sound smart. You sound patronizing. And nobody buys when they feel dumb. Alicia is intentional about making sure everything she puts out includes tangible takeaways—things people can write down and act on. Without that, it's just noise. Playing the Long Game with Content and Personal Brand This podcast started over a decade ago not as a growth hack, but out of curiosity. The goal was to let listeners be a fly on the wall. The payoff took years, but now it's a massive moat. People join our community and say they've been listening for years before ever raising their hand. That kind of trust doesn't come from ads with rented Lambos. But it also takes time and determination. Less than 7% of podcasts make it past episode three, and only about 1% make it beyond episode 23. From Alicia's perspective, finding your unique personality and value proposition is the hardest part of business. People are afraid to be different, but different is the whole point. Discovering your own value proposition on your own is like trying to tickle yourself. You need outside perspective to see what's actually special. What if the most effective strategy for leading change isn't fear-based urgency, but love? In this episode, Kevin sits down with Mohammad Anwar to explore a rethinking of how leaders can approach change by centering people, building trust, and creating psychological safety. Together, Kevin and Mohammad discuss why traditional change management approaches fail, how fear activates resistance, and why prioritizing emotional intelligence and human connection leads to sustainable transformation. They dive into six behavioral principles that underpin "love as a change strategy," including embracing discomfort, practicing empathetic curiosity, and wielding influence effectively. Mohammad also challenges conventional models like Maslow's hierarchy, advocating instead for love and belonging as the true foundation of human needs. Welcome to our Polish Podcast. Hosts Roy and Anja discuss a series of "what if" scenarios — from the collapse of the EU, a third world war, rising pension numbers, human microchips and hidden cancer cures, to space tourism, internet control and home robots. “Co jeśli” is the Polish way to ask “What if…?”—and in this bite-sized episode you'll say it like a native day-dreamer. First you hear the phrase at real speed, then slowed down so you can copy the soft “ć” and the gentle “jeśli.” We drop it into three imagination-ready sentences: – “Co jeśli zdam ten egzamin?” (What if I pass this exam?) – “Co jeśli się pomylę?” (What if I'm wrong?) – “Co jeśli to zadziała?” (What if it works?) Repeat-along track included—perfect while you stare out the window or plan your next big move. Challenge: DM us your boldest Polish “Co jeśli…” question and we'll answer it in next week's episode.

Lori Morton Biography As of this podcast, I'm 68 years old. I'm a daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, and dog mom of two delightful Shih Tzus. My struggle with weight began in middle school. I grew up with the advent of fast food. When I was growing up, I tried to keep up with my brothers when it came to eating. Fast food, candy, and desserts were my downfall. After graduating from college, I accepted a position as a 5th-grade teacher. Teaching and careers in education are rewarding, but also stressful. There was always food in the teachers' lounge, or parents would send you treats. I responded to the stress of teaching by eating, and as a result,t my battle with weight grew over the years. I happily retired in 2015 from my last position as an elementary school principal. After retiring, I was determined to shed the weight I had gained over my 30 years in education. Losing close family members to Diabetes, Dementia, and Sarcoidosis has been the catalyst for my weight loss and fitness journey. My older brother, who had type 1 diabetes since the age of 13, died at the age of 52 from colon cancer. The death of my younger, seemingly fit and healthy 47-year-old sister was a wake-up call. Also, watching my mother slowly deteriorate from Alzheimer's disease added to my trauma. She died two years after my sister. To make sure I was there for my family and my sister's children in particular, I rejoined WW in 2016 and followed the program successfully for several years, but was frustrated that I couldn't get past a plateau that lasted about 1 ½ years. During that time ,I was yo-yoing up and down 10-15 pounds. From the beginning of the pandemic, in February 2020, to April 2021, I gained 35 pounds. That's when I decided to get back on track. After resetting, I lost only a few pounds before my weight plateaued again. I was worried that I had a problem with my metabolism. My frustration led me to research other ways to lose weight. I was of the opinion that if you do what you've always done, you will get what you've always gotten. While researching obesity and how to lose weight, I found information about intermittent fasting and Dr Jason Fung's book, The Obesity Code. Reading his book, I had many aha moments. Everything he described was my experience, so I decided to give IF a try, beginning in June 2021. I also searched for how to implement Intermittent Fasting to maximise my results. That's when I found and read Gin Stephen's book, Fast, Feast, Repeat. After that, I searched for fasting groups on Facebook and the Podcast app. That's when I found Graeme Currie's The Fasting Highway group, book, and podcast. I initially lost 59.5+ pounds (22.6 kg) through intermittent fasting. At the time, I thought I had mastered my struggles with obesity. My old nemesis, stress, reentered my life about three years ago with the unexpected death of my best friend, which was followed a few weeks later by the passing of my dog of 17 years. Once again, I used food to comfort myself. By far, 2025 was the most stressful year of my life. My dear 90-year-old father began exhibiting Dementia and was no longer able to live independently. My brother and I welcomed him into our homes on a rotating basis and were his primary caregivers. As a result, I regained almost all of the weight I lost. Caregiving was an honour and privilege, but it is one of the most stressful experiences one could face. Throughout these challenges, I kept resetting my fasting journey. Sometimes I was successful and sometimes not. I have learned a lot through my journey and am on the path to improving my health. Intermittent fasting works! I am of the mindset that I'm losing weight for the last time and will no longer comfort myself with food. Economy Big Picture: President Trump and Trade Using the Art of the Self-Fulfilling Prophecy Canada and the EU take trade and economic positions seemingly against U.S. interests. Simultaneously Mexico modifies all their trade positions to come into alignment with the USA. Yesterday, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced Mexico will no longer ship oil to Cuba. When President Trump was asked about Prime Minister Mark Carney creating a new trade agreement with China, President Trump responded that he didn't care – it was irrelevant to him. Yet, simultaneously inside the USMCA President Trump has the power to veto any trade agreement between Mexico or Canada and a non-member nation. So, why didn't President Trump care? Easy, because in President Trump's mind there's not going to be a USMCA; so, he really doesn't care if Canada runs to violate it. In real terms, Canada doing bilateral deals with other countries, especially deals potentially detrimental to the USA, only strengthens his position on dissolving the USMCA. If Canada violates the terms and spirit of the USMCA, it makes dispatch of the unliked trade agreement even easier. Canada is helping President Trump remove the congressional justification they could use to block him. If Canada is violating the USMCA (CUSMA), Congress is kneecapped from interference. These restrictions vary by state, with some banning both concealed and open carry, while others target only one or apply under specific conditions (e.g., only for participants or permitted events). The people of Minnesota have stood strong — helping community members in unimaginable circumstances, speaking out against injustice when they see it, and holding our government accountable to the people. Minnesotans have reminded us all what it is to be American, and they have suffered enough at the hands of this Administration. Violence and terror have no place in the United States of America, especially when it's our own government targeting American citizens. No single person can destroy what America stands for and believes in, not even a President, if we — all of America — stand up and speak out. We know who we are. It’s time to show the world. More importantly, it’s time to show ourselves. Now, justice requires full, fair, and transparent investigations into the deaths of the two Americans who lost their lives in the city they called home. That repetitive exposure from them fatigues neural pathways but sustains heightened arousal, diverting cognitive resources from higher-order tasks to basic threat monitoring. It is an acute stressor, activating the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and sympathetic nervous system, which releases cortisol and adrenaline. Long exposure to this stuff impairs prefrontal cortex function critical for decision making. Pair this with the sheer annoyance, these tactics are a low-tech escalation of protest disruption, rooted in documented physiological responses to noise. In layman’s terms, they’re putting these officers on edge and triggering them to act. Pretti and Good was exactly what they wanted. It’s usually someone else who ends up dying and not the instigator. This is a great example. Watch the guy at the rear strike an officer against the head with an object. These officers, already on edge, are very likely to react to something like that. When someone ends up getting hurt, they’re all innocent. These events aren’t random. These are organised tactics. 80% of the people protesting aren’t aware that they’re being used by their own team as cannon fodder to generate outrage. https://twitter.com/DataRepublican/status/2015620564787105892?s=20 Tending the Soil on Chuffed. She's tied into the donors, the nonprofits, the consultants, the media networks — all the gears that keep the Machine turning. And look at what she just did. She tweeted out that webpage directing people to donate through a foreign‑operated platform. That's not some innocent little share. That's the Machine signaling to its own network — money pipelines, global partners, and political messaging all moving in sync. She knows exactly what she's amplifying and who benefits from it. And this isn't new for her. Look back at Russiagate. Her campaign funded the Steele dossier — the spark that set off years of investigations, headlines, and division. Even after the whole thing fell apart under scrutiny, the chaos it created was already locked in. That's how the Machine works: it doesn't need accuracy, it just needs momentum. And she's been one of the people who knows how to generate that momentum better than anyone. So where does she sit in the Machine? Right in the core. Not elected. Not accountable. Still pulling levers through the same networks she helped build. She's not operating inside the Machine — she's one of the people who designed the damn thing. And that's why her name keeps showing up. Not because she holds office. But because the Machine still runs on the structures she put in place — and every time she boosts a link, a cause, or a narrative, you can see those old gears turning all over again. https://twitter.com/julie_kelly2/status/2015963638096429102?s=20 https://twitter.com/WarClandestine/status/2015941282237972649?s=20 President Trump's Plan And we back you WHOLEHEARTEDLY in making it happen https://twitter.com/TriciaOhio/status/2015939758858371393?s=20 https://twitter.com/EricLDaugh/status/2015858856430055491?s=20 professional. Defeat refers to actively dismantling the insurgent group’s capabilities—through kinetic operations (e.g., raids, airstrikes) to kill or capture leaders, disrupt supply lines, and degrade their fighting strength. Contain means preventing the insurgency from spreading or escalating. This could involve securing borders, isolating insurgent areas, or using psychological operations (psyops) to undermine their recruitment and propaganda. The “simultaneously” part stresses that these aren’t sequential steps; they happen in parallel. You can’t just “contain” without addressing threats, nor can you defeat an insurgency if it keeps regenerating in new areas. Key challenge: Insurgents often blend into the civilian population, making it hard to target them without collateral damage, which can create more enemies. 3. Address Its Root Causes Insurgencies don’t arise in a vacuum; they’re often driven by underlying issues like political exclusion, economic inequality, corruption, ethnic tensions, or lack of basic services. The definition insists that long-term success requires tackling these “root causes” to prevent resurgence. This might include reforms such as land redistribution, anti-corruption drives, inclusive governance, or economic development programs. Without this, military victories are temporary. For instance, historical cases like the Malayan Emergency (1948–1960) succeeded partly because British forces combined military action with resettlement programs and political concessions that addressed Malay grievances against colonial rule. Broader Context and Principles Population-Centric Approach: Modern COIN doctrine, influenced by thinkers like David Galula or modern adaptations, views the local population as the “center of gravity.” The goal is to protect civilians, gain their trust, and separate them from insurgents—often summarized as “clear, hold, build” (clear insurgents from an area, hold it securely, and build sustainable institutions). Challenges and Criticisms: COIN is resource-intensive, time-consuming, and politically fraught. It can lead to prolonged conflicts, human rights abuses, or mission creep. Critics argue it sometimes ignores cultural contexts or over-relies on foreign intervention, as seen in Vietnam or Iraq. Success Factors: Effective COIN requires unity of effort (coordination between allies), intelligence-driven operations, and adaptability. Metrics for success go beyond body counts to include governance improvements and reduced violence. In essence, this definition portrays counterinsurgency as a balanced, enduring campaign that blends force with reform to not just suppress rebellion but eliminate the conditions that sustain it. https://twitter.com/EricLDaugh/status/2015886441063055779?s=20 patriots need all the support they can get! Background on the “Big Beautiful Bill” and ICE Funding In 2025, Republicans passed the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (often referred to by President Trump as the “Big Beautiful Bill”), which allocated approximately $75 billion to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over four years. This funding was separate from annual appropriations and effectively tripled ICE’s budget, providing a multi-year “slush fund” for immigration enforcement, including deportations. This bill was part of Trump’s broader immigration agenda and bypassed traditional yearly funding processes, allowing ICE to operate independently of short-term congressional battles. Current Shutdown Threat and Democrats’ Strategy Democrats, led by figures like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Sens. Patty Murray, Chris Murphy, and others, have vowed to block the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding bill in the Senate. This bill includes $64.4 billion for DHS overall, with about $10 billion specifically for ICE in the current fiscal year. Why the Shutdown Won’t Defund ICE Even prominent Democrats like Sen. Murray acknowledge that a shutdown or continuing resolution (short-term funding patch) won’t restrain ICE. The agency can draw from the $75 billion already secured via the Big Beautiful Bill, allowing operations to continue uninterrupted under Trump’s “law-and-order” immigration crackdown. A shutdown would primarily affect non-ICE parts of DHS (e.g., TSA, FEMA, Coast Guard) and other bundled departments, forcing some federal workers to go without pay while ICE remains funded and operational. Republican Position and “Upper Hand” The White House and GOP leaders like Speaker Mike Johnson are not yielding, insisting on passing the full package without decoupling DHS funding. They view Democratic threats as ineffective since ICE’s core operations are protected by the prior bill. The House has already passed the DHS bill with some Democratic support, putting pressure on the Senate. Republicans are framing this as Democrats prioritizing protests over essential services, giving the GOP leverage in negotiations. https://twitter.com/AwakenedOutlaw/status/2015946190219837842?s=20 themselves, and engage in thoughtful discourse and/or express outrage against the wholesale ridiculousness of not allowing the government to do its job and protect us…and they do so for months on matters that most would never have otherwise engaged in AND would otherwise slip out of the news cycle quickly.
