The place where a z*on*st and a n*zi can exist inside the same washed up, shock jock recycled racist tech magnate bureaucrat, use the quintessential anti-semitic gesture on national television and be defended by the head of a million dollar anti-semitism watchdog org that mostly just targets Black people. Yes, even here: a place where neo n*zis came up short in Lincoln Heights, the first all-Black, self-governing city north of the Mason-Dixon Line, and got ran out, they shit took, their flag burned. Happy Black History month, everyone! Hannah is producing a new podcast for Ideastream Public Media (NPR) about Black women and wants you to listen! A bit about the show: In January of 2020, Bloomberg CityLAB published an article about a new study from Pittsburgh researchers naming the best and worst cities for Black women. Among cities with at least 100-thousand Black women – Cleveland came in dead last in terms of livability. On Living For We, to talk to Cleveland's Black women from all walks of life, from CEOs to self-starting entrepreneurs, judges, lawyers, doctors, artists, students, and mothers who have experienced loss. We share stories from these women as changemakers and architects of their own futures, celebrating their victories, challenges, and personal growth along the way. So... is it really true, what they say? Is Cleveland deserving of the least-livable title? And what can we do to make lasting improvements for Black women in our city? You can follow Living For We here or anywhere you get your podcasts! Check out the research on Cleveland's Black women here! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Welcome back! Today we dive into my nursing journey. 19 years young, alone in a new state & a CNA. I tried LPN school but decided to quit and pursue my RN. I was a CNA 4 years prior to starting my RN program. Believing in God and his plan over my life helped me shun out the naysayers, financial struggles and doubts I had and helped me to trust in his plan. 9.9% of RNs are black women. Happy Black History month.

Happy Black History month! We are back on our regular bull**** y'all! We are drinking a drink that originated with a viral practical joke in 1874 called the Tom Collins. Though this crisp, classic gin cocktail was still popular a hundred years after the fact, the era of STEPHANIE's scandal.
Healing is not a linear process. The journey looks more like: working through all the ebbs and flows of acknowledging, addressing, and eventually overcoming negative cycles, patterns, and relationships in our lives, feeling a sense of exuberance as we finally “break free”, only to feel overcome and overwhelmed all over again! LAWD! This week's episode explores practical ways to embrace every part of our healing journey & ways to keep going even when it's rough. Thank you so much for listening!! “The way that we talk about ourselves, the way we talk about our money, the way that we talk about our future is a scale. It is a manifestation of what will come to our lives.” - Evolve Benton Happy Black History month! I'm Evolve Benton and today, I go over the origins of the Speaking 4 Profit Academy and why folks may not be charging enough for their voices. A lot of it has to do with the way we regard ourselves - Do you see yourself as capable of being financially free? Do you talk about yourself in an empowering way? Get into momentum by speaking for prophecy and manifesting abundance in your life. [00:01 - 03:17] Why Your Talent Fee May Not Be Enough The start of Speaking 4 Profit Academy It started during COVID-19 - a pandemic baby. When opportunities became less, the academy becomes an avenue for folks to secure the bag. Why you may not be asking enough A $500 talent fee may save a company $40,000! See yourself as someone who can be profitable from your intellectual property. [03:18 - 12:10] Cultivating the Wealth Mindset to Call Abundance The significance of support in business ventures Starting a business allows one to serve the world. Through your voice, it is possible to achieve financial freedom. How to build wealth sustainably You cannot rely on just one stream of income. Invest the money and work for a shorter amount of time. Using your voice to call in wealth Be wary of the way you talk about yourself and your life! Being abundant is not built on capitalism, but being able to serve the world. [12:11 - 13:45] Final Thoughts Share your story with the world! Connect with me – leave a review and comment (links below) Key Quotes: “Being able to create an incubator like Speaking for Profit University, where diverse leaders like yourself, whoever's watching this…are able to build out businesses, through their voice, through their story, through their knowledge, that gives them financial freedom, right? And that financial freedom gives us an opportunity to be able to live longer lives full of joy and happiness.” - Evolve Benton “Whatever you are an expert at, you can teach the world about that and make some money while you do it. Invest that money and work for a shorter amount of time so that you can live your life and freedom.” - Evolve Benton Connect with Me! HAPPY BLACK History month! On this weeks' episode, we discuss history being made. We first chat about how the NFL could possibly have its first Black NFL owner. Robert Smith, the richest Black man in the U.S. is said to be throwing his hat in the ring to purchase the Denver Broncos. Is this a good move for Mr. Smith, the NFL? Do you think having a Black NFL owner will change the NFL culture? We also talk about the G.O.A.T., Tom Brady retiring. Do you think this is the last we will hear of him? In his announcement, TB12 did NOT mention the Patriots or Bill Belichick; was he being shady? Let's Discuss!
