In early January, Katie participated in a Faculty Development in International Business trip to Santiago, Chile. Titled “Understanding the International Business Environment through Innovation and Sustainability in Chile,” the trip was hosted by Temple University’s Center for International Business Education and Research (“CIBER”), and Katie was able to attend the trip thanks to IU’s own CIBER program. Group work fosters collaboration, interpersonal skills, and efficiency, and it often mimics scenarios we would expect students to see in their careers. But it can be a huge pain in the *** to navigate for teacher and student alike, and it can sour parties to future group work. So why do we make them do this to begin with? It's that time of year again - the time when students are making some tough career and other life decisions and often questioning those decisions. In this episode of HTTC, Katie is joined by guest Galen Clavio to start the conversation on how we can inspire confidence in our students.
