Meathead is the author of the best-selling Meathead: The Science of Great Barbecue and Grilling, and he's back with a brand-new book: The Meathead Method. Illustrations of key artefacts and features were produced to aid in visual interpretation and documentation. Find processing involved the cleaning, cataloguing, and detailed recording of artefacts, including pottery, tools, and weapons. Additionally, flotation techniques were employed to recover small organic remains, such as seeds and charcoal, offering further insight into the site's past occupation and use.TLDR: Tilly and Ash discuss the post-excavation analysis of their six week dig on Weathertop!LinksEuropean Association of Archaeologists (EAA), 2025. The preacher must freely preach the word of God in a way that is natural, yet prepared. In this sermon titled “Illustrations, Eloquence, and Humour,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones addresses the preacher's need for freedom in the pulpit. On one hand, some preachers are bound to a manuscript and never make eye contact with his people. On the other, the preacher is unprepared and forgets what he intended to say. He argues for a well-prepared outline. Additionally, as the man prepares his sermon, he must consider the use of illustrations. Many preachers focus heavily on stories as their sermon becomes nothing more than an exegesis of their own illustrations. The illustration in a sermon must never be an end to itself. They must be used carefully and minimally, only to illustrate the truth of Scripture. Dr. Lloyd-Jones continues his lecture with thoughts on eloquence and humor. While the apostle Paul was eloquent, eloquence was never his goal. We should be wary of preachers who are more concerned with how something is said rather than what is said. The same applies to humor. A humorous individual will certainly, and naturally, use humor in the pulpit. But this should never become the goal in preaching.

Hello and welcome to another episode of the podcast. Today on the podcast I'm excited to have an interview with Kaleb Wyse. Kaleb is the creator of Wyse Guide and the author of the new cookbook There's Always Room at the Table. When Kaleb Wyse started documenting his daily life on his farm in Iowa, he didn't think many people would take notice or even care. After all, his way of life is simple, guided by the seasons—he spends his days gardening, preserving, baking, and cooking, a rhythm not all that different from that of his parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents who worked the land before him. But it turns out that people from all over the country connected with Kaleb's simple, back-to-basics way of living, and fell in love with his hearty, homestyle cooking. From casseroles to biscuits, his recipes hit the sweet spot of nostalgia for some—and are a breath of fresh air for others. Today on the show we're here to visit with Kaleb, learn all about his journey first on social media, leaning in to his life in south-east Iowa on his family's farm, and then his journey to writing and publishing his first cookbook.  Things We Mention In This Episode: Connect with Kaleb Wyse at Wyse Guide There's Always Room at the Table  Receive a free copy of the Art of Cookbook Creation checklist
