In her words, abortion has been legal since 1965 within hospital institutions and was included in article 267 of the Penal Code in Cuba since 1987 which expressly makes it permissible for any reason. Every year thousands of abortions are practiced on the island. A total of 3,858,872 cases was recorded between 1980-2019. In 2019 alone, there were 73,661 cases of abortion from ages 12-49, of this number, 52.3% (A little more than half) were women under the age of 20. All these have brought adverse effects on the social, demographic, moral, and spiritual aspect of the society. There is a strong culture of death that is permeated in the society and even within the Church, it has generated a lethargy marked by indifference and ignorance. For the love of all the babies desired, loved, formed and esteemed by God and for the love of Christ, the 26 year old Daliadne Lorente Fonseca have taken on the challenge by birthing the pro-life ministry in Cuba "Ayúdame a nacer" (Help me to be born) To God be the glory, honor and power for his unwavering love! To buttress this topic, our guest who spoke in french, also dealt on the symbolic relationship between Numbers 21:4-9 (Moses and the fiery serpent) and John 3: 14-15 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” For the Fiery serpent, there were no home remedies, antidotes or help from others that would save the Israelite apart from looking upon the serpent on a pole, this was by faith alone and obeying God's instruction. Likewise, there is nothing more that we can do to obtain salvation apart from what Christ has already done for us on the Cross and looking unto Him as the author and finisher of our faith Hebrews 12: 2. Other similarities included both providing immediate salvation, were raised up to save men from death, spoke of sin on the pole, spoke of judgement, were easily available and to everyone, demanded faith. Conclusively, Christ atonement for our sins is sufficient once and for all and our salvation is by faith alone 2nd Corinthians 5:21 Happy listening!! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fernando-mendes1/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/fernando-mendes1/support
