One of the best tools you have at your disposal everyday is your ability to appreciate and be grateful for the simple pleasures in your life. We are not defined by our circumstance, not unless we give in and let them. Circumstances therefore never determine who we are, but reveal who we are. In this week's episode I speak to the inspirational Katie Murphy who is living with CF ( Cystic Fibrosis) Rather than let her condition thoroughly dictate her life, Katie decided to focus on what she could control in her life and is living proof as to why your circumstances don't define you & why with the right mindset you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
It's not your circumstances that shape you but how you react to you circumstances that matters. I can't think of a more apt statement when it comes to describing my guest on this weeks show. Even if youre not on a weighloss or health journey right now I really do believe you will be inspired by this conversation with whatever goal you have.
The fear of judgement and the fear of failure are two of the most popular reasons that hold people back. Fearing how others will judge them and their decisions and being scared incase you'll fail are often why so many people don't go after the things they want in life. In this episode I talk about both issues with some real life coaching examples and coaching questions you can ask yourself to tackle these fears head on.
So as we all know January is a time where most people want to make some changes to their lives, be it a new health kick, diet, habit, challenge whatever it is but I'm also well aware that right now with the current situation, it may be pretty difficult to start something new or you may be feeling a bit demotivated. Confidence - something that without fail comes up in about 80% of my coaching sessions. Women who want it and don't think they have it and wonder why some have it in spades when they feel like they've none. Can I let you in on a secret? Confidence isn't a thing you can have. It's a feeling. One that you can learn to tap into once you know how. In this episode I talk about 4 things no one tells you about confidence in the hopes that you'll begin to feel more confident in yourself from today.
The saying 'it's not what happens to you, but how you react to it' couldn't be more true when I think of my guest on this weeks episode of the podcast.
