Midnight MonPod: A Monsterpocalypse Podcast After Hours

Welcome to another episode of Midnight MonPod! On tonight's episode I go through one of the “MonPoc Fundamentals” articles available on Line of Sight. This time it is “The Four Unit Archetypes” by Jeff Gum. It is one of the most helpful articles I've read in regards to new players, and I'm trying to do my part to get it in front of as many people as possible. Tonight's Midnight MonPod is something a little different from most of the recent episodes. Instead of going over any models in their specifics, I recorded a musing on the way Buildings are actually used in the course of the game. I have attempted to describe the different ways buildings are played and used, and how that interacts with the game itself at large. I used Obliteration Boulevard as the map I looked at while recording the episode, and have thrown a copy of the map up under the episode notes on the Line of Sight posting of this episode.

Tonight on Midnight MonPod we have the last of the 2022 Dynamic Update Monsters that had been previously covered. This time we re-examine Nova ESR and discuss her new strengths in the new metagame. Nova is my personal favorite monster in the game, and the Dynamic Update changes just helped her become more of what she already was.

Tonight on Midnight MonPod we are re-examining the first monster from the GUARD faction, Defender X. Defender X was updated as part of the 2022 Dynamic Update, and as a result needed a new episode covering the changes. I'm very happy with where the first Starter Box monster has found itself in the current metagame. Next episode we'll cover the third monster who was updated and has already had a dedicated episode, so stay tuned for that!

Welcome again to Midnight MonPod! Tonight we are re-examining Armodax. He was one of the monsters effected by the 2022 Dynamic Update, and subsequently has changed how he's viewed in the competitive MonPoc scene. Armodax is still the best tank monster in the game, and this episode goes over how that works.

The end of the Draken Armada Faction Focus series has finally arrived! Tonight's episode of Midnight MonPod goes over the third monster from the Faction: Gausamal. This spectacular serpent is a potent powerhouse on the tabletop. Listen in to hear all about the how and why of her particular brand of excellence. Tonight we start in on the Shadow Sun Syndicate, a faction protecting the humanity and society of Earth using means that are often seen as questionable. Sun Industries is a planetary leader in the Biotech and Nanotech fields, and the Syndicate uses these to great effect by fielding cybernetically enhanced warriors who grow to colossal sizes to do battle with the besieging forces arrayed against the planet. This episode touches on the lore of the faction, and goes through all the Unit models currently in the game. Stay tuned for more episodes on this faction in the near future!
