Join the Tribe Today (It's FREE) Listen To Episode 745 As Josh Trent Uncovers: [00:00] Introduction to Emotional Epigenetics + Genetic Determinism How we inherit emotional patterns. The myth of genetic determinism: genes are not destiny and can be influenced by environment, emotions, and beliefs. Scientific studies prove how trauma and emotional experiences can be passed down through generations. The concept of learned helplessness is where individuals feel stuck due to societal programming and limiting beliefs about healing and personal change. Quantum entanglement and how personal healing can ripple through past and future generations. The four pillars of the L.I.F.E. Method: Liberation (uncovering hidden patterns), Integration (using breathwork and somatic tools), Frequency Upgrade (regulating the nervous system), and Embodiment (anchoring new behaviors and boundaries). [05:45] It's Your Responsibility to Heal Emotional epigenetics is likened to tending a garden, where inherited genes are seeds and the environment and choices are the nourishment. While inherited pain is not one's fault, it is each person's responsibility to heal and prevent passing trauma to future generations. How the L.I.F.E. Method program accelerates participants to pull out inherited emotional 'weeds' and rewire their nervous system. Emotional healing is not just biological but also spiritual, involving energy in motion (emotion) and the quantum field. Daily practices of emotional integration and inventory, and the importance of unconditional love and acceptance from all spiritual traditions. How healing oneself contributes to healing past and future generations. Leave Wellness + Wisdom a Review on Apple Podcasts A fully legal psychedelic microdose? YES! If you are going to pick a fight with an internationally respected, educational powerhouse, use spell check or Grammarly... If you remain petty, you don't have to get petty. Reports are coming out that the Harvard Admin may or may not have corrected and posted this...yeah this seems to be on the petty level of a gangsta unhinged millennial tick-tocker. But why wouldn't you embrace the pettiness, Harvard? You want to unite people against this Fascist regine? Let's go!!! Further, To Linda McMahon: Grammarly can be your friend. There has been a lot of chatter lately about changing the Minnesota walleye limit from 6 to 4. Currently, the 6 fish limit was set in 1956, with the rapid advances in sonar technology, boats, and angling hours…is it time for a change? In this week's episode, we sit down with Nate Blasing, guide and member of the Brainerd Walleye Alliance, to hear about his role in spearheading this movement. We also interview MNDNR Regional Fisheries Manager Brian Nerbonne, to get an idea of what anglers and stakeholders think of a possible change. We also touch on what current data collection strategies would help the DNR decide on this in the future. Wellness + Wisdom | Episode 742 Is your fear of suffering keeping you from discovering the deepest treasures of your soul? Author and extreme adventurer, Akshay Nanavati, joins Josh Trent on the Wellness + Wisdom Podcast, episode 742, to share how embracing suffering during his 60-day solo crossing of Antarctica became the key to transcending limitations and unlocking pure potential, what his journey taught him about the paradox of oneness, and why the only way out of suffering is through it. "When you stop resisting suffering, it frees you from the grasp of suffering. It's not the suffering in and of itself that I seek. Suffering is the means, not the purpose. The purpose is what it gives you access to. It's the transcendence, the awakening, the breaking down of the illusions, the surrender." - Akshay Nanavati In This Episode, Akshay Nanavati Uncovers: [01:10] 60 Days Alone in Antarctica Akshay Nanavati 606 Akshay Nanavati | How To Love Your Fear: The (REAL) Secret To Unlocking Your Pure Potential How the world shows you more about the human soul than any textbook. Why love is an experience of both separation and connection. How resisting or clinging to duality creates suffering. [19:40] The Gift of Suffering The bigger the dragon we battle, the better the treasure on the other side of the battle. Why the human experience is a paradox. How bringing conscious awareness to our self-dialogue can help us change it. Why all unnecessary suffering is the resistance to accepting the isness. How embracing the edge of you makes life more joyful. [59:00] Feel It All Why we need to respect the mystery of God. How Akshay saw value in the delusion he was experiencing during the expedition. Why we shouldn't rob our children of their lessons. How Indian parents tend to over-spoil their kids. Why having our kids experience the full range of emotions builds their resilience. Join the Tribe Listen To Episode 741 As Josh Trent Uncovers: [00:00] Introduction to Accountability + Boundaries The essence of accountability. Boundaries are essential for self-love and healthy relationships. How much responsibility do we have to hold others accountable? Fear often prevents people from enforcing boundaries; fear is reframed as 'false evidence appearing real.' [03:45] Setting + Practicing Boundaries Boundaries are first set, then practiced; self-regulation and self-accountability are key. Letting go of the fear of 'burning bridges' is crucial when enforcing boundaries. Boundaries should be communicated clearly, especially in family and intimate relationships, where they are often hardest to enforce. Practicing boundaries with strangers or in low-stakes situations helps build skill and courage. [07:20] Learning from Broken Boundaries + Pain Pain from broken boundaries teaches self-love and integration. Rigid boundaries may block love and growth; flexibility and self-trust are needed. Repeated lessons occur until boundaries are internalized and enforced naturally without fear or anger. [09:45] Nonviolent Communication + Boundary Enforcement Boundaries can be enforced without shame or anger, using curiosity and dialogue. Public and private boundary enforcement share the same principles: identify the breach, ask questions, and seek shared outcomes. Role-play example demonstrates the 'rule of three' for boundary communication: verbalize the breach, bring curiosity, and co-create a result. Adding emotional context (how it makes you feel) enhances understanding and connection. [19:35] Emotional Regulation + Honesty Breath and presence are essential for emotional regulation during boundary conversations. Triggers are opportunities for growth; honesty about feelings creates clarity and speed in resolving issues. Slowing down communication and being honest about triggers or fears leads to better outcomes. Honesty is the foundation for clarity, which in turn enables faster resolution and connection. [24:40] Attachment Styles + the Path to Peace Speed in resolving conflict is a universal human desire, but true speed comes from honesty and clarity, not rushing. Attachment styles (anxious and avoidant) influence how people approach boundaries and connection. Sitting in honesty and clarity helps both attachment styles achieve harmony and connection quickly. Awareness is the starting point for all personal growth and boundary work; the series aims to nourish all aspects of self (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, financial). Wellness + Wisdom | Episode 738 What if the stories you're clinging to are preventing you from becoming your truest self? And are they even your stories to begin with? Leadership Coach John Wang joins Josh Trent on the Wellness + Wisdom Podcast, episode 738, to share how cultural pressure, generational wounds, and the fear of “not being enough” shape our identity from a young age, why challenging these scripts can help you rewrite your life, and how to close the gap between who you think you should be and who you really are. "The language that your parents speak to you becomes the language that you speak to yourself for the rest of your life. And if your parents didn't know how to speak the language of love, the language of nurture, the language of understanding, then it's likely that you didn't learn that language either." - John Wang

Join the Tribe Listen To Episode 737 As Josh Trent Uncovers: [00:00] Defining Authentic Community + Connection Community is defined as a space of mutual trust, support, and non-judgment where individuals can be authentic. Modern society often replaces true community with transactional relationships. The concept of friendship is visualized as three rings: inner circle (trusted tribe), middle (friends), and outer (acquaintances). Authentic connection starts with self-awareness and the courage to be oneself Biological and neurological need for community is emphasized—humans are wired for connection. [06:15] Personal Growth, Letting Go + the Evolution of Friendships Personal development often leads to outgrowing old friendships and communities that no longer align with one's values or growth. Letting go of relationships can be painful, but it is necessary for personal evolution and to allow space for new, aligned connections. Take inventory of your current relationships and assess their authenticity and alignment. Growth and change in core friendships typically occur every 5-7 years. [11:30] The Power of Community in Healing + Growth Healing and personal growth are maximized in community, not in isolation. Practices like breathwork and nonviolent communication are more powerful when done collectively. Community acts as a mirror, providing feedback and shared experiences that foster deeper learning and transformation. [13:50] Online vs. In-Person Community + The Role of Intuition Modern communities often begin online but should ideally transition to in-person for a deeper connection. Intuition is key in discerning authentic communities from transactional or inauthentic ones. The gut-brain axis and healthy lifestyle choices are linked to stronger intuition and better discernment. [20:15] Scaffolding of Online Communities + Financial Considerations Online communities serve as scaffolding for building deeper, in-person connections. Financial limitations can be a barrier to in-person experiences, but online spaces can help build the foundation for eventual in-person engagement. True value in a community comes from honest participation and mutual support, not just financial transactions. [24:00] Money, Energy Exchange + Models for Community The necessity of energy exchange (including money) for sustaining community leaders and facilitators. Different community models: free, paid, and hybrid (scholarships, partial gifting) communities. The value of transformational experiences is often worth the investment, and money is reframed as a vehicle for energy exchange. Question assumptions about money and community, and find models that align with both integrity and sustainability. Grieving Out Loud: A Mother Coping with Loss in the Opioid Epidemic
As the United States continues to grapple with a deadly opioid crisis, Narcan—a medication that can reverse opioid overdoses—has become more accessible. Experts credit this expanded availability as one reason overdose deaths have declined over the past year. But Narcan can only save a life if someone is there to administer it—and that's not always the case. Many people struggling with substance use disorder use drugs alone, whether out of shame, fear of judgment, or simply because they have no one they can trust. So how do you save lives when one bad dose can be deadly, and the people most at risk are suffering in silence?A unique hotline called SafeSpot is helping answer that question. The service offers a lifeline—someone to stay on the line while a person uses drugs and calls for help if something goes wrong. On this episode of Grieving Out Loud, you'll hear from the director of SafeSpot and a woman who says the hotline is the reason she's still alive today.Listen to the original hotline call on This American Life: The CallIf you enjoyed this episode, listen to TV Anchors step up with naloxone training to fight the opioid crisis next!Send us a textThe Emily's Hope Substance Use Prevention Curriculum has been carefully designed to address growing concerns surrounding substance use and overdose in our communities. Terry Francona, the newly appointed manager of the Cincinnati Reds, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record to a team eager to return to postseason glory. Hired in October 2024 after a year away from baseball, Francona emerged from retirement to take the helm of a young, talented Reds squad that has struggled to translate potential into consistent success. As of March 13, 2025, with spring training underway, Francona's presence has already injected optimism into a franchise that hasn't reached the playoffs in a full season since 2013. Francona's managerial resume is nothing short of illustrious. A likely future Hall of Famer, he boasts two World Series titles with the Boston Red Sox (2004, 2007), ending the infamous Curse of the Bambino, and led the Cleveland Guardians to an American League pennant in 2016. Over 23 seasons as a manager, he has amassed 1,950 wins, earned three Manager of the Year awards, and posted winning records in 18 of his last 19 seasons. His decision to unretire came after Reds president of baseball operations Nick Krall and GM Brad Meador visited him in Tucson, sparking a renewed sense of purpose. Francona has cited health challenges as a reason for stepping away in 2023, but surgeries to replace his shoulder and repair a double hernia during his hiatus revitalized him for this new chapter. Known for his humor and player-friendly approach, Francona has quickly endeared himself to Reds fans and players alike. His spring training debut on February 22, 2025, marked his return to the dugout after 510 days, managing a split-squad game against the Milwaukee Brewers. Early reports highlight his enthusiasm—“My favorite place in the world is the ballpark,” he said—and his focus on fostering a competitive culture. He's already navigating challenges, such as prospect Cam Collier's thumb surgery, with a pragmatic optimism that resonates with the team. Francona inherits a roster brimming with potential, led by stars like Elly De La Cruz and Hunter Greene, alongside promising talents like Matt McLain and Spencer Steer. His challenge is clear: harness this youth movement to end Cincinnati's playoff drought. With his history of turning teams into contenders, Francona's leadership could be the catalyst the Reds need to reclaim their place among baseball's elite in 2025 and beyond.

Even though we are far, far away from mthe start of another football season, the bengals continue to dominate the local sports headlines….what a week. First they cut guard alex cappa, who by the way, signed a two-year deal last night with the la raiders. Then the team put the franchise tag on receiver tee higgins….the team has time to sign him to a long-term deal, we will discuss that. Maxx crosby signs a monster extension with the raiders, and you're thinking, who cares? Trey hendrickson, that's who. Hendrickson has 35 sacks the last two years….crosby has 22. Hendrickson makes 16 million o the final year of his contract. Crosby's new deal is for an average of 34 million per year. Then just yesterday, fan favorite sam hubbard called it a career announcing his retirement. The moeller high and Ohio state alum played seven seasons in stripes and will be forever remembered by the 98-yard fumble return in the playoffs three years ago. Congratulations to Sam Hubbard….good player and an even better guy. College hoops…….We are down to the final weekend of the regular season and on the local front, x is going up, the bearcats have hit rock bottom. The x men moved to 20-10 on the year after blasting butler last night 91-78. Zach fremantle poured in 24. The bearcats blew a seven point lead over the final 14 minutes in a loss to kansas state. The wildcats did not score a field goal for the final four minutes of the game and still won! Will X make the ncaa tournament? UC? We will discuss those two and look at two other local teams on the bubble, ohio state and indiana…those two teams collide saturday in bloomington. The reds have lost three straight and will host the giants later this afternoon at 3:05 est. BENGALS Hubbard Tee/ hendrickson/ chase: A report said bengals arent close on any of the three. 40 million in cap space….could be more. Free agency begins this weds….. College hoops….
