Near-death experiences have been reported since the dawn of humankind. In almost all cases, the stories are very similar.Every year, around 350,000 people in the United States experience cardiac arrest outside of a hospital setting. Worldwide data is staggering. Very few of these people survive; of the ten percent who do, a few report experiencing a life-after-death memory. The International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) has estimated that 85% of children who experienced cardiac arrest have had a near-death experience. This rate is more than twice that of an adult.In this book, you will read personal accounts of people who have been successfully revived after they were pronounced dead. Each has their own account, but you will see a similar theme in each - how each of them had to face their decision-making during their lifetime and whether those decisions were bad or good. Each had to stand in some form of judgment. This correlates to the principles taught in the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic religions.BioJonathan Gregory Reed was born and raised in southern Virginia, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. His southern, conservative values are evident throughout his books. He presently lives in Southern California with his wife, Jeanette, but has never forgotten his roots.Jonathan Gregory Reed worked for the Richmond City Sheriff's Office and later for the Virginia State Police. In 1984, he developed spasmodic dysphonia and had to change professions due to his voice disorder. He worked for thirty years as a nurse in the operating room and discovered he liked writing during this period. From learning with elders and attending ceremonies to immersive master-apprentice programs and digital classes, they share how language connects to culture, humor, and identity—and why its survival is essential for future generations. Dr. Farina King narrates this episode, and special thanks to Brian D. King for editing the Language Protectors and Carriers series.A Native of Oklahoma, Michael Elizondo, Jr. received his BFA from Oklahoma Baptist University (2008) and his MFA at the University of Oklahoma (2011). Elizondo has participated in numerous solo and group exhibits regionally and nationally. He has been a professor of fine art and art history at colleges and universities statewide, recently serving as the Director of the School of Art at Bacone College and Executive Director of Language and Culture with the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes. Elizondo is currently focusing on his studio practices full-time.Jonathan (Chaz) Meadows is a citizen of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes and a dedicated advocate for Indigenous cultural and linguistic revitalization. He earned dual bachelor's degrees in Native American & Indigenous Studies and Sociology from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, graduating with Cum Laude and Dean's List honors. Jonathan is currently a graduate student at the University of Oklahoma, pursuing a master's degree in Native American Studies. A former president of the Pujuta Tipi Society RSO, his academic and community work is deeply rooted in cultural preservation, language revitalization, and intergenerational knowledge transfer. He is an alumnus of the Wells Fargo, Indigenous Land & Language, American Indian Service, and Cheyenne & Arapaho Higher Education scholarship programs, and a former apprentice in the Cheyenne Language Master Apprenticeship Program. These days only venues are hard graft, rules are strict, fines are harsh and they're not everyones cup of tea. In this short podcast episode, Bryan answers a listener-submitted question asking whether you can use another surge protector at the disconnect panel with an ICM 493 already in place. Using multiple surge protectors in the configuration described does NOT count as daisy-chaining. Surge protectors with MOVs (metal oxide varistors) shunt current from high voltage to ground by reducing their resistance. MOVs are sacrificial, so they wear out over time. Surge protectors don't last forever, so installing multiple is a fine idea. You can have whole-home surge protection with additional surge protectors positioned at the appliances/electronics. While it can be done and doesn't hurt anything, it's not the most cost-effective solution.  When you install a surge protector, wire it in parallel with the circuit to ground. It should be wired properly with the shortest possible path to ground. In any case, many surge protectors won't hold up against direct lightning strikes, but they will protect the equipment from power surges after power comes back on or constant overvoltage.
