Being that the society we live in today still lacks diversity among main characters in books, movies and tv shows, Charlene took the initiative to create a book for her daughter that had a main character that represented Skye and other little girls in the world. This sweet story doesn't only offer representation but, an impactful storyline that speaks about racism and bullying and also, shares the history of the Congo and St Louis, Missouri.
