From iHeartRadio and TenderfootTV, ‘Monster: DC Sniper’ reinvestigates the beltway sniper attacks. This true crime podcast places the listener in Montgomery County, Maryland on October 2nd, 2002 when an unidentified sniper began randomly killing people going about their daily lives. Host Tony Harris…
The Monster: DC Sniper podcast is hands down the best true crime podcast I have ever listened to. It is incredibly informative, well organized, and filled with a wealth of information from survivors, law enforcement officers, and case files. The level of detail provided about the carnage caused by these two individuals and the extent of their crimes beyond just the DC area is truly astounding. This podcast definitely deserves a spot on your must-listen list if you're a fan of true crime.
The best aspect of this podcast is the amount of information it provides. The hosts have clearly done extensive research and it shows in the thoroughness of their storytelling. They include audio clips from survivors and law enforcement officers, painting a vivid picture of what it was like during those terrifying times. The interviews with Mildred Muhammad, John Allen Muhammad's ex-wife, are particularly compelling as they shed light on his motivations and provide important insights into domestic abuse.
One of the worst aspects of this podcast is that it is now only available through subscription. While I understand that podcasts need to make money to sustain themselves, it can be disappointing for listeners who may not be able to afford or don't want to pay for yet another subscription service. Additionally, some reviewers noted that they preferred earlier seasons when the podcast was free.
In conclusion, The Monster: DC Sniper podcast is an incredibly insightful and well-produced true crime podcast that delves deep into the infamous DC sniper case. The level of research and attention to detail is impressive, making it a standout among other podcasts in its genre. While there may be some disappointment regarding its move to a subscription model, overall it remains an excellent choice for fans of true crime storytelling.

Hi, Monster fans! Since you enjoy our podcast, we think you'll also like the new true-crime podcast, Algorithm. Check out the first episode to see for yourself! About Algorithm: When Afrikka Hardy was strangled in 2014 it seemed completely random, but it wasn't. It was part of a pattern. Four years earlier, reporter Thomas Hargrove had created an algorithm to detect serial killers and flagged Gary, Indiana as the site of an unusual number of strangulations. But when Hargrove reached out to warn local police he was ignored -- until Afrikka Hardy was murdered, and those cold cases suddenly didn't look so cold. Algorithm follows the investigation into Afrikka's murder, exposing the warnings that police ignored, and uncovering more than anyone expected -- that a serial killer was strangling women in Gary, Indiana could've been stopped. And that Afrikka Hardy should be alive today. This podcast will explore how technology can be used to identify and track serial killers, and how an algorithm can influence the way homicides are investigated all across the country.
