On this episode of the podcast I talk with Dr. Ingrid Faro, an Old Testament scholar and the author of a new book on evil in the Bible, Demystifying Evil: A Biblical and Personal Exploration. Among the topics we discuss: Why it is important to not separate Bible study from life but to do biblical reflection together with our deepest questions. Some of the most significant discoveries about the way that Scripture talks about evil, including one group of words that appears with the word "evil" about 2/3 of the time. Questions from my students: why even include the tree in the garden? And why let the serpent roam free? Doesn't this set up humans to fail? Counsel on how to name evil in the world and in other humans while also remembering the dignity of our fellow image bearers. How we can take responsibility for the evil we've suffered without becoming defined by it. In a world that regularly exposes us to global injustice and atrocity, how do we keep from being overwhelmed? Get the book: https://www.ivpress.com/demystifying-evil

BTC $ 24,459 Bitcoin Block Height - 777,933 Today's guest on the show is Dr Sucharit Bhakdi who joins me to talk about his concerns over the Covid19 and the mRNA Injection programmes. Why was Dr Bhakdi cancelled by the MSM and labelled as an Anti Semite? When did Dr Bhakdi meet with advisors to the Thai Government and Royal Family? What is the goal of these 'vaccines' and why is the mRNA packaging so dangerous to humans? How is the WHO planning to roll out these mRNA injections and why are they planning to inject animals too? Why did Dr Bhakdi and his wife write their book 'Corona False Alarm' and why was it removed from Amazon even though it was a 14-week best seller? So many unanswered questions and so much damage has been caused by the last 3 years of 'following the science'. When will people be brought to justice and why is Sucharit prepared to stand up to these powers? Sisters Yvette Gentile and Rasha Pecoraro are primarily recognized as the co-hosts of the wildly popular podcast “Root of Evil: The True Story of the Hodel Family and the Black Dahlia,” a 2020 iHeartRadio ‘True Crime Podcast of the Year' nominee. The dark story of their mother Fauna Hodel's life became a six-episode limited television series “I Am The Night,” which premiered in January 2019. Yvette and Rasha have returned to the airwaves with a new weekly podcast, Facing Evil. In their latest venture, the siblings bring their unique perspective of growing up in a family with a dark history, to true crime with a focus on the victims and individuals at the heart of the stories. Outside of podcasting, Yvette is also an actor, model, and sandal designer with her husband Gino. She is an avid yogi who trains for and practices classes specific to individuals confronting distress and long-term grief and pain. Rasha was a fierce competitor on “The Biggest Loser” in 2006. Since then, she's advocated for beauty at any size as a plus-size model and married her wife Vanna in 2010. She is a proud LGBTQ+ advocate and activist, mother, as well as an actor and voiceover artist. Listen in to hear Rasha and Yvette share: What it was like for Rasha to marry a man on national TV after being a contestant on the Biggest Loser - and then realize she was gay and come out out of the closet in a very public way The impact of their unique sister relationship of being a gay-straight passing blond woman and a black biracial woman - standing side by side as sisters What it's been like for both Rasha and Yvette to embrace the spotlight in a big way as the layers of their family story is shared across multiple media platforms The impact and imprint of many tragic true crime stories on US history How they have intentionally stayed away from sensationalism and salaciousness in true crime podcasting, and instead opted for sharing humanity, compassion, and empathy in their stories Links mentioned: Podcast: Facing Evil Facing Evil on IG Rasha on IG Yvette on IG Thank you to our sponsors this month: care.com: Get the help you need to make it all work for your family at care.com/book.
