Scientists found the deep tracks left by these icebergs by looking at energy companies' seismic surveys of the North Sea. It showed icebergs the size of Norwich were once found off the eastern coast of Scotland. This is the first hard evidence that the ice sheet that covered Britain and Ireland 18,000 years ago produced such large icebergs. The findings may help scientists answer fundamental questions about how the Antarctic ice sheet may be affected as the ice shelves around its edge become unstable in a warming world. 这些发现或许能帮助科学家们解答关于南极冰盖的一些关键问题:随着全球变暖,南极冰盖边缘的冰架变得愈发不稳定,南极冰盖将受到怎样的影响。

This in the first episode in a series where I intend on laying out what my paradigm of the past is and my hope for the future. When talking of social change reference to the past is vital. It is natural to seek analogues from the past to observe what the "natural" arc of a civilization has been. It is from that perspective that first attracted me to Graham Hancock and his book "Fingerprints of the Gods". Through his book and Randall Carelson's repeated appearances on the JRE I became convinced that there was more to the story than the standard narrative was able to provide. This episode focuses on the massive climate shift Known as The Younger Dryas. The standard narrative for recession of the ice sheet is gradualism and blames the extinction of mega fauna, like the wooly mammoth, on over hunting by humans... with pointy sticks... I ascribe more to the alternative history of cataclysm that reset civilizations back to the Stone Age and in the fall out most mega fauna died off. The standard narrative has in it a belief that humanity, in a natural state, over consumers causing the eradication of animals and collapse of ecosystems, this is in contrast with the possible reality that humanity itself barely survived the cause of the extinction event and that the overconsumption of humanity today may be from a belief system and is not inherent to humans. This would cause a reframing of humanity from consumers to survivors. From destroyer to cultivators? It is here where I believe the reconstitution of the facts could help liberate the modern person towards the true purpose of Humanity on this earth, which I believe is to take a broken world and make it better. I hope you enjoy this series. Please leave a comment below if you noticed something I missed or have anything to add. If you plan on going to the Cosmic Summit 2025 let me know! I am really excited to see a lot of the people who have helped me gain a more robust view of the world around me. Peace, Dexter

This study “Accuracy and reproducibility of latent print decisions on comparisons from searches of an automated fingerprint identification system” by Hicklin, Richetelli, Taylor and Buscaglia (For Sci Intl, 370 (2025), 112457), reported the performance of 156 U.S. latent print examiner participants each reviewing about 100 latent prints/comparisons resulting in over 14,000 trials. The study reports numerous statistics of performance such as sensitivity (63%), specificity (70%), false positive error rate (0.2%), and false negative error rate (4.2%). The guys also discuss some important study design differences, plus there are a lot of data in the appendices. Finally they talk about the number of false positives made in the study (n=23) and the fact that 13 of those 23 were made by one participant and how that impacted the results. Paul tells the church at Galatia, who is made up of Gentiles, “Before you Gentiles knew God, you were slaves to so-called gods that do not even exist.” Think back to early in the Old Testament when God came to Abraham and said “Leave Ur and go to a land I will show you.” Abraham was in a pagan land where people didn't worship Yahweh...they worshipped gods that didn't exist! Where did they learn of these gods? It all starts in the Garden of Eden, the fall of man, and man being kicked out. It wasn't until Seth had a son names Enosh when people started worshipping Yahweh by name. That was a period of around 240 years! Paul tells us that people had their own idea of God and they fashioned God into their own ideas and images. Think about it...when Moses challenged Pharaoh in Egypt, they had gods for everything yet they did not worship the One true God—Yahweh. Paul tells the Galatians, “You are known by the God that really exists!”

How does Birth Order impact you and your parenting? Dr. Robert V.V. Hurst was born in Hammond Indiana and has been practicing orthodontics in Covington Louisiana for over 35 years. During this time he has used his office and patients as his living laboratory to study his patient's personality traits and birth orders. Out of this has come a unique and workable theory that accurately finds a person's real birth order and explains their behaviors. Educated at Indiana University and Harvard, he has taught at both Tufts University and Louisiana State University. He has published numerous articles on birth order and patient behavior. He has also lectured on this same subject applying it to not only patient management but also to office dynamics and employee relationships. In Life's Fingerprint, Dr. Robert V. V. Hurst offers an illustrative and funny look at how birth order is directly related to behavior, how people work, how people live, and how people love. A revealing questionnaire helps you navigate the variety of information Dr. Hurst offers to help you pinpoint your real birth order. Unique to this book is the discussion of double birth order and families within families. This concept is the Rosetta stone of understanding birth order theory, and it is why just your ordinal birth order, or number order of birth, is sometimes not your real birth order. Life's Fingerprint: How Birth Order Affects Your Path Throughout Life will help you understand yourself and show you how to better interact with your family, friends, and coworkers.
