This episode is all about KOLARS Los Angeles based KOLARS could honestly credit the road as their home since this duo is one of the hardest working and touring bands I have come across. Since our chance encounter at Starry Nites music festival in Santa Barabara two years ago this group has continued to blaze their own trail not only in America but all across the world. Supremely honoured to showcase their tunes to you. Enjoy and grab your tickets when they roll into town, which they enivitably will no matter where you are.
Checking out a dope four piece band hailing from Madrid, Spain Hinds These ladies start their United States tour in Las Vegas at Life Is Beautiful Music Festival , they head to Santa Barbara, Phoenix, Tucson, Texas, New Orleans, Florida and then peacing out from Desert Daze happening in California. Really dig their surf rock, lo-fi sound. All three vocal contributions work very well and I am highly excited to see them at Life Is Beautiful and again at Desert Daze middle of October. Turn it up, its meant to be played loud.
Reviewing the 2018 edition of San Francisco's Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival, while getting the grand pleasure of spoiling your eardrums to two songs from the man, the myth, the Father...Fathe John Misty. Your Host (Me) Mike Van Dusen, won't lie, I absoluelty dig what Father John Misty lays down and he blew me away at OSL 2018. With an absolutel shot in the dark I hit up his label (Sub Pop) and got granted a gratis license for our review episode. Stoked doesnt even begin to describe how I feel about that. Buckle in and give my boy a fair listen, then go listen to all his albums and have a ten page paper on my desk by Monday on how you feel about the homie and why.
Talking about Outside Lands 2018 and listen to a few dope bands that will be rocking out with us there this weekened. Shannon and the Clams Knox Fortune iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Band website go wherever you need to support these homies, great tunes and great souls.

Jammin on One Love Cali Reggae Fest, while spinning tunes from The Movement. *Things I forgot to say on the podcast because I was too excited include* -Someone threw a pound of weed on stage during Nas' Sunday Headling performance -A dog walked out on stage during the same Nas set and got mad love -Ben Harper is a class act , amazing musician and performer. Was running late on his set so he was going to cut a song but they allowed him to play it, but he absolutely made sure he didnt then in turn cut into Nas' set saying "I'm not that guy." Really stand up organic events unfolding to show his true character. Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals fan for life. -Day One, later into the dark evening there were stands for VIP seating right by the porta potties. Porta Potty lines started to get excessive then creating people to make the dark underbelly of the VIP Stands their newly coveted wait-less rest rooms. No Lie. -Queen Mary is massive and just a dope back drop to have as your festival setting. -Great weather and really chill vibes all weekend -Video Content on instagram @MVDjams
