Christ Proclamation Church: Hartford, CT
Jesus, the one true King, is different than what the disciples anticipated. He is not only the promised Son of Man, but the Suffering Servant, who will be crucified on a cross. Therefore, we must repent, believe, and be willing to sacrifice our comfort, priorities, and relationships to follow Christ!
In light of God's eternal plan to grow and mature the church into the likeness of her Savior, each member is called and commanded to lay aside sin and put on Christ-likeness; specifically walking in sacrificial love for one another in very real and practical ways in order to promote unity!
The Lord Jesus doesn't just save sinners but also makes them His disciples, who know Him, love Him, and live for His honor and praise. Therefore, Jesus' disciples are called to go on mission, trust His provision to satisfy, and lead a life of self-denial until He returns in glory!
Jesus Christ, the one true King, is willing and able to engage with kingdom authority and compassion to heal, restore, and save those who are in desperate need of a Savior. Therefore, we must be those who recognize our need, put our faith in Christ, and trust His perfect plan for our lives!
Jesus Christ is the one true King, who has kingdom authority to calm storms, cleanse the defiled, and cast out demons, which proves that He is Lord of both the physical and spiritual realm. Seeing Jesus for who He really is leads to one of two responses, fear or faith. Make Jesus Lord of your life!
God is worthy of our worship because He has caused His people to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Therefore, Christians can rejoice in every and all circumstances, because they have the eternal hope of heaven!
True joy is found in the life, death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Therefore, Christians are called to reflect on the miseries of their former manner of life, rejoice in the debt-canceling death of Christ, and glory in their Savior both now and forever.
Jesus is the one true King, and His Kingdom brings salvation and judgment, revelation and concealment. Therefore, we must be certain to hear the Word clearly, accept Christ's commands whole-heartedly, and bear
Jesus teaches that greatness in the kingdom is given to the least, the sinful, and the weary. Those who are least in the kingdom embrace God's plan of salvation, while the righteous reject it. Therefore, all who recognize their
Jesus Christ is the one true King, who has kingdom authority to heal the sick and raise men from the dead. He also has kingdom compassion to answer doubts and confirm that He is the promised Savior. Therefore, we must respond in faith, obey His Word, and boldly live as one of His disciples.
Jesus shows perfect mercy towards His enemies, and He calls and commands His disciples to do the same. Although we are mistreated and misunderstood in this world, we bear the kingdom fruit of good attitudes, kind words, and merciful actions as we wait for our final reward in God's presence!
Jesus Christ, the one true King, is inaugurating a new age of salvation that is fundamentally incompatible with the old, demonstrated in His offer of salvation to anyone who believes. This reorientation of living for God and offering the gospel to sinners is met with great hostility; and still is today.
Physical limitations and disease are often seen as taboo in the world, but not by the Lord Jesus. He is both willing and able to heal the physically broken and save the spiritually dead. Therefore, Jesus is worthy to be treasured and proclaimed by all who have received salvation!
Despite our ignorance, arrogance, and half-hearted obedience, God's amazing grace to us in the Lord Jesus Christ's finished work on the cross is what spurs us on to be faithful followers who willingly reach out to the lost.
The church is essential for growth to maturity because Christ has sovereignly gifted every individual with abilities to minister to all the other members, so that we might all grow in the knowledge of Christ,
Jesus displays His authority by proclaiming the good news, casting out demons, and healing the sick, ultimately pointing forward to His triumph over sin, disease, and the devil. Therefore, Christians should be in awe of Christ's authority and confident of His victory when He returns in glory.
The gospel must drive everything our church does because it alone is the power of God to promote the glory of God.
Jesus fulfills the Messianic promise to liberate captives and to heal the spiritually blind; however, He was despised and rejected by those He came to save. Therefore, we must own our rejection, respond rightly to our Savior, and embrace the cost of living for His glory.
We are sinners in Adam who deserve God's judgment. Jesus, the Son of God, came on a rescue mission to fulfill all righteousness, resist the devil's lies as the Second Adam, defeat mankind's greatest enemy, and secure a whole new humanity empowered by the Spirit that lives for the glory of God.
Faithfulness is shown through ordinary obedience to God, regardless of obstacles or discomfort. Jesus and John the Baptist exemplify unwavering faithfulness to God's commands. As Christians, we must strive to remain faithful to God, as He has been faithful to us through the Lord Jesus.
When the fullness of time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, so we might experience the glory of our salvation. As a result of the first coming of Christ, we should long all the more for His second coming, to make all things right!
There is only one way for sinful man to be reconciled to a holy God, and that is by faith in Jesus. This babe, born in a manger, provides eternal peace to all those who believe in Him, because He is the Prince of Peace. Therefore, we must be proclaimers of peace!
The Old Testament is filled with signs that a Messiah is coming who is the King of Kings. These signs identify Jesus Christ as that King, who came on a mission to save His people from their sins. That is the ultimate hope that we have this Christmas season.
God uses Elizabeth's inability to have a child to demonstrate His almighty power and renew His work of salvation for His people. In the midst of barrenness, God brings joy to His people. So, Christians must trust God in our suffering, knowing His ways are good and our hope is sure.

False teachers openly oppose Christ's divinity and flee the church. In contrast, true Christians resist these errors and cling to the truth of God's Word. Therefore, true believers persevere in the faith by having doctrinal clarity, abiding in Him, and clinging to God's promise of eternal life.
God's initiating love through the gospel of Jesus Christ compels Christians to respond in love for one another, as they are being perfected in love until Jesus returns in glory! So, in light of the gospel, true believers must love sacrificially and intentionally toward all of God's people.
Those who do not keep God's commands are liars and do not know the truth that Christ died to deliver them not only from the presence of sin, but the power of sin. True believers, however, habitually and increasingly keep God's commands and therefore have a growing assurance of salvation.
The Apostle John clearly states that those who walk in darkness and discredit the reality of sin are not Christians. But true believers confess their sins to God. So, let us walk in the light by seeing our sins, confessing them, and trusting that Jesus cleanses His people from all their sins.
Christianity stands or falls on the person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the one true God-man, who lived a perfect life, died to save us from our sin, and promises eternal life. Therefore, let us believe in Him, be
The wisdom of God and power of God is experienced when we repent of our worldly wisdom and physical strength and trust in our crucified, buried, and risen Savior, who is our salvation, sanctification, and redemption. Therefore, let us preach Christ and Him crucified and boast only in the Lord!
When a person truly comes to faith in Christ, they know Him in a saving way and want nothing more than for others to know Him as well; to know the joy of having their sins forgiven and to know the hope of eternal
Christ calls us to proclaim the good news of the gospel and to teach all that Christ commanded. This happens in the context of a local church. But it also means we must be willing to serve, sacrifice, and send out our best so that other churches might be planted!
Whether it's in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Manchester or Windsor, it's always the gospel that must be proclaimed. And the conversion of souls and the hope of eternal life provide all the motivation that we need to remain faithful to the gospel mission, even in the midst of persecution.
Through the faithful, Spirit-empowered preaching of the good news of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, God will build His church, adding to their number day by day those who are being saved, resulting in a community that demonstrates a radical, divinely-given, love for one another.
God empowers us through the gift of the Holy Spirit and the certainty of the resurrection to be witnesses of the Kingdom and proclaimers of the gospel. The book of Acts is a historical account of the initial restoration of that Kingdom, but we are called to be on-going witnesses until Christ returns.
God tells his redeemed people that he will never leave us nor forsake us. This great and very precious promise has the power to free us from the love of money and be content with what we have, as we run with endurance the race set before us all the way to glory!
Those who are humble are given the promise they will be exalted. To be lifted up is to be like our Savior, Jesus Christ, and to purse humility is to war against pride. Those who purse Christlikeness are those who pursue humility, both in salvation and sanctification.
When our futures seem unclear, and we are unaware of what lies ahead, we are prone to fear the future. However, in the face of fear, Christians must trust that the Lord will uphold His people. So, we must admit our need, consider the Lord Jesus, and cling to our all-wise God.
Jesus clearly demonstrates that we can live free from anxiety because we have a Heavenly Father who knows us intimately and has promised to provide our every need if we have a heart that prioritizes doing God's will and obeying His commands.
Our hearts are tempted to believe that God is stingy and withholds good from us, which leads us to doubt His plans and purposes. Therefore, Christians must fight against doubt by trusting God's unwavering promises as we cling to our greatest good, the Lord Jesus Christ.
God's people are his treasured possession. By his power, He is fulfilling his promise to make them into a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. Obedience is the path to realizing God's purpose for our lives.
As a result of the devil's lies and Adam's sin, we are sinners enslaved to disobedience. So Adam's sin ignited a life and death struggle between good and evil. But God promised salvation in a second Adam, the Lord Jesus, whose death on the cross brings eternal life and the power to live for God's glory!
King David's heart responds to God's mercy and grace with exuberant praise and humble sacrifice. To a greater degree, Jesus' heart is bent towards sinners as He died a sacrificial death in their place. So, in response to King Jesus, Christians are compelled to live a life of humility and praise to God.
Absalom's rebellion gives way to another, wearying us of the constant instability of earthly kingdoms, which should cause us to look forward to a righteous king who atones for our sin, reconciles us to God, and brings unity as we long for an eternal unshakable kingdom!
In various seasons, the wicked thrive while the righteous are rejected and despised. But during dark days of despair, God is faithful. He never leaves nor forsakes His people. So then, Christians are called to endure in the shadow of death, knowing Christ has redeemed us and will keep us forever!
God promised a king from David's own body will rule over an eternal kingdom and the sword will not depart from David's house. God's promises come to pass and point us to Jesus, the one true
