In this last episode of “The Road to Emmaus”, Pastor Scott brings it home with the opening of eyes. These men didn't recognize Jesus, and they didn't see the truth even from the scriptures. Only can our eyes be opened when we actually experience Christ. How do we do that? Communion.
Susan's 15 year old son Josh was crushed in an ATV accident just days before Christmas. Medical help may have been far away, but God was not. Susan shares how God prepared her for this event, how her family was prompted to pray, the miracles that would follow, and how it led her to get involved with Moms in Prayer, and ultimately, with the Open Eyes ministry. A former Registered Nurse, Susan Younis has been an Area Coordinator for Moms in Prayer for 3 years and leading Moms in Prayer groups for 7 years. She is also working with a beautiful ministry called Open Eyes as a Donor Ambassador. Susan shares as she reflects back to attending her first prayer group solo as Josh was healing: "The takeaway is to say yes when He (God) calls you to something. I love what Charles Stanley says, 'Obedience always brings blessings.' It's scary but I want to be where God wants me to be. On our journey He writes our story, He loves us, and has good plans for us. Sometimes it is hard to step out of that boat, but when you do, it honors God. It will bless you and you'll be a blessing to other people." - Susan Younis 1 John 5:13-15 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. Thank you Susan, for sharing this beautiful testimony with us, and for your service with Moms in Prayer and with Open Eyes as well! You are a blessing to me and to so many others! We have to learn to see things with spiritually opened eyes. God does not just save us in eternity, but cares for us in the day to day. Are you busy blaming God when things get bad, or are your eyes open to see His power? This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert talks about being in on what God is doing through prayer and participation. Come hear the sweet and great Ferris Robinson talk about her love of people and of Lookout in this super episode focused mainly on The Mountain Mirror paper and its operation. Ferris does a wonderful job of praising multiple mountain families with names such as: Parker, Raul, Campbell, Persinger, Glasscock and others. Also hear about the history of the paper and how well it is thriving today as it truly lives up to its motto of a "paper of fact, fun and fancy" and where that great motto came from. Hear about the amazing efforts of well-known mountain names and how they all pulled together to make sure Lookout had a community paper for all to enjoy. Ferris does an excellent job of carefully describing the monthly paper operation and the special team of talented and dedicated folks who today, help make it a reality the first of each month. This episode also highlights other programs such as: Bee City USA, the Homegrown National Park Project, Get on the map, National Park Movement and Open Eyes, Open Hearts.Ferris also mentions the children's books that she and her wonderful mom Mary Jane, created - The Queen Who Banished Bugs and others.Ferris, yes you may be shy but you did a fantastic job for us all on this really interesting episode and the listeners of tME thank you! What if today, on this very day of life, Jesus is in your midst, working in the details of your life? What if he is going before you? What if he is with you? And what if you just don't recognize him? You think you would recognize Jesus … but would you? Yesterday morning I […]
There are many products we buy, use, and put our confidence in without having all the information or fully understanding how they work. In the Gospel of John, we see a man begin to follow Jesus based on limited information. This man, who was born blind, said he only knew one main thing - and that one thing was enough to make him curious about who Jesus really was.

In the Gospel of John, we see a man begin to follow Jesus based on limited information. This man, who was born blind, said he only knew one main thing—and that one thing was enough to make him curious about who Jesus really was. It's okay to be wrong. It's okay not to know. But it's not okay not to look if there's something to be seen.
According to the founder of the decision-making process known as the “OODA Loop” the most important step in the process is “Orientation.” This stage speaks to the priority of a proper understanding the conditions and circumstances of your life. In today's episode, Greg explains the theology of how we can develop a biblical framework for the objective information that our eyes take in. Enjoy the show! Dear readers, If you're reading this, then my message has reached you. The era from which my story occurs is far or near yours. Christianity has successfully influenced over much of my world. However, our utopia is under siege by an atheist guerrilla group called the Open Eyes. They eventually learn that one of the founding members of our society has created the greatest invention of the age--the time machine. What they plan to use it on is unknown. But I, Cally Harborfield of the Cherubim law enforcement will stop their dastardly goal. Listen in as I chat with returning guest co-host and contributor, Shane K. 1/2/2022As we celebrate Epiphany of the Lord Sunday, which marks the 12th day of Christmas, we might recall the song full of gifts none of us want – turtle doves and partridges in pear trees. But the 12th day of Christmas is really about the one who was born to set us free. Epiphany marks the day when the Wise Men finally laid eyes on the Savior – and opened their hearts in worship and opened their treasured gifts before him. This Epiphany and beyond, let's consider how our encounter with the Light of the World will open our hearts and re-arrange our plans and priorities this year. Because, once we've seen the light, we are changed and called to be world changers. "2022: The Year of Open Eyes and Open Hearts" - Rev. God tells us that we should pray with open eyes, for open doors, intentionally investing in outsiders. “Prayer is the only entryway into genuine self-knowledge. It is also the main way we experience deep change—the reordering of our loves. Prayer is how God gives us so many of the unimaginable things he has for us. Indeed, prayer makes it safe for God to give us many of the things we most desire. It is the way we know God, the way we finally treat God as God. Prayer is simply the key to everything we need to do and be in life.” – Tim Keller
