God has already provided healing for us in the Atonement of Christ, so now it is not a matter of trying to get God to heal us, but of learning how to RECEIVE our HEALING. We need to RECEIVE our HEALING by FAITH in the Word of God. Mark 11:24: “Whatsoever THINGS you desire (such as HEALING), when you pray, BELIEVE that (1) you RECEIVE them (your HEALING), and (2) you will HAVE them (in manifestation).” In order to have the confidence to believe we receive our healing from God when we pray, we need to embrace some BELIEFS about HEALING from the Word of God. There are 4 key STEPS we need to take in order to get into position, so that we can believe that we receive our healing when we pray. These 4 STEPS are 4 BELIEFS from the Word of God that we need to embrace. *STEP 1: We first need to know that it is God's WILL to HEAL us, otherwise it is impossible for us to believe we receive our healing when we pray (Mark 11:24). The Bible reveals it is God's WILL to HEAL us. Healing was purchased for us by the great sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross. *STEP 2: We must BELIEVE that God is a rich and liberal Giver of Healing. He gives us healing when we pray. He is the God of the immediate response. We must BELIEVE that He is our HEALER today: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, TODAY and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). He WANTS to HEAL us now. LOOK to the LORD for your HEALING, rather than being preoccupied with the problem. If we are overly preoccupied with the problem, we will fail to receive the solution (healing). Hebrews 11:6: “Without FAITH it is impossible to please Him, for he who COMES to God MUST BELIEVE that (1) HE IS (our Healer), and that (2) He is a REWARDER (a generous giver of healing) of those who diligently SEEK Him (in prayer).” These 2 BELIEFS are the first 2 STEPS of FAITH. *STEP 3: God gives us HEALING POWER when we pray and ask Him to heal us, which then works mightily in us to drive out all sickness and to restore our health. *STEP 4: God ordained the Method of the Laying on of Hands to impart Healing Power. Romans 10:10: “(1) With the HEART one BELIEVES unto righteousness (right standing in the promise), and with the MOUTH, CONFESSION is made unto SALVATION (the manifestation of the promise).” So believe you receive your healing and keep SPEAKING God's WORD: “By His STRIPES I am HEALED. Jesus Himself BORE my SICKNESSES and CARRIED away my PAINS” (Isaiah 53:4-5, literal translation, Matthew 8:17, 1Peter 2:24). Hilary completes her study by a look at the healing of Blind Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46--52).

A message delivered in our El Cerrito campus by Pastor Benjamin Robinson.
Psalm 119:121-128 is the sixteenth stanza of this psalm, and every line or verse begins with the sixteenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet “AYIN”, in the Hebrew Bible. For the first time, the words "oppressors" and "oppress" appear in this psalm (vv. 121-122). The word describes the abuse of power and authority, taking advantage of the underprivileged by either violence or deceit. The word includes the ideas of accusation and slander. The Jews were commanded not to oppress one another (Lev. 25:14, 17; Deut. 24:5-22), and this included the strangers in the land (Ex. 22:2; 23:9). Often, God's people suffer oppression while the guilty go free. When that happens, we need to remember the Lord and what He does for us. When we are being oppressed, we should remember that the Lord is the Rewarder (v. 111). The psalmist was not boasting but affirming to the Lord that he was not guilty of anything that deserved punishment. He was a man of integrity who had a clear conscience; he had treated others justly and had practiced God's holy laws diligently. That in itself was a blessing, but God's people long to see justice reigning on the earth. When God rewards His people, it is a witness to sinners that their day of judgment is certain (Psalm 58:10-11). "Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward" (Heb. 10:35). Most of all, we need to be assured that the Lord is our Surety (v. 122). A person became surety when he or she pledged to pay another person's debt or fulfill a promise. When Jacob refused to allow Benjamin to go to Egypt for food with his brothers, it was Judah who willingly became surety for his youngest brother (Gen. 43:1-10; 44:18-34). Judah's passionate speech before his brother in Egypt assured Joseph that Judah had truly experienced a change of heart and that it was safe to reveal his identity to the men. To become surety for a friend's debts is forbidden in Scripture, lest you end up with a burden greater than you can handle (Prov. 11:15; 17:18; 22:26-27). But the Son of God became surety for those who have trusted Him! (Heb. 7:22). No matter how many promises we might make to the Lord, we can never fulfill them. But in His death on the cross, Jesus has paid the debt for us, and in His ministry of intercession at the throne in heaven, He is our living Surety. As long as He lives, our salvation is secure, and He lives "by the power of an endless life" (Heb. 7:16). So, no matter what people do to us and no matter how we feel, our Surety is secure and we remain in the family of God. Jesus has taken the responsibility for our salvation, and He will never fail. Finally, we should remember that the Lord is our Master and the final Judge (vv. 123-128). Whenever people attack us, they also attack the Lord, for we belong to Him. When Saul of Tarsus persecuted Christians on earth, He also persecuted their Lord in heaven (Acts 9:1-5). God cares for His servants. He does not always prevent us from being oppressed, but He always has a good reason for permitting it to happen. He is a loving Master who teaches us His will and gives us the discernment we need to handle the problems of life. Even more, He gives us promises that we can claim and thereby find the strength and wisdom we need. As God's servants, we do not live by explanations; we live by promises. In our impatience, we sometimes want God to work immediately and set everything right, but His ways and times are not always the same as ours. Faith and patience go together (Heb. 6:12), and God's delays are not God's denials. The day will come when the truth will be revealed and sin will be judged; meanwhile, instead of complaining about what we have paid or lost, let us rejoice in the wealth that we have in God's Word, wealth that can never be taken from us. All of God's precepts concerning all things are always right, so we can depend on the Scriptures and have the guidance that we need. God bless!

Pastor Sergio continues to talk to us about how much God wants to reward us and does reward us in our lives. He tells us how important it is to make sure we are in constant communication and worship with God and asking God for what we are seeking in our lives so they can come to fruition and how God tells us not to listen to the world when we have obstacles in our lives that might seem too daunting in our pursuits, like it says in Colossians 3 in the Bible. If God tells us something, we must listen!
Pastor Sergio talks to us about how God rewards us abundantly in our lives. He reminds us in the book of James how God rewards our pursuits as we are being obedient to Him. We need to understand God as our rewarder and once we do that we will live for Him and no one else. If God is the one who will always promote and reward us liberally, who should we be looking to please? We remember God as our rewarder by keeping His word.
We find ourselves living for earthly rewards which are not what is God's best for us! What if we sought our eternal Rewarder instead?

It's Friday, September 9th, A.D. 2022. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. By Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com) Ugandan Muslims threw 5 Christian evangelists overboard On August 10th, Muslim extremists killed five Christian workers by throwing them off a boat into central Uganda's Lake Kyoga, reports Morning Star News. A Christian survivor of the attack said the evangelists from End Time Word Ministry church were traveling from Nakasongola District to Apac District on a commercial transport boat with plans to plant a church. The survivor, Amos Kyakulaga, a church deacon who was acting as a guide, said the five evangelists began proclaiming Christ to a group of 10 Muslims in Islamic attire aboard the boat. He said, “On our way, Tonny Ankunda started preaching to the people on the boat, which resulted in a huge argument between Muslims and the missionaries concerning the Sonship of our Lord Jesus Christ.” He said one of the Muslims, identified only as Bashir, began threatening the Christians, saying, “If you continue insisting that Jesus is the Son of God, then Allah will kill all of you.” Citing Scripture, the evangelists continued affirming the sonship of Christ. Bashir, the Muslim, told them, “We are giving you one last minute to stop your blasphemy and to convert by confessing the shahada (Islamic creed), or else your lives are at risk.” When the five evangelists refused to renounce Christ, the Muslims seized them and pushed them off the boat one by one, Kyakulaga said. Because they were 650 feet from shore, all five Christians drowned. Despite the fact that Muslims make up only 12 percent of Uganda's population, they live in high concentrations in the east. Queen Elizabeth II died--having shared Christ's light Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully yesterday at the age of 96, marking an end to her 70-year and 214-day reign, reports The Sun. Her son, Charles, who will now be known as King Charles III, gave a somber statement as he led the nation in mourning last night. The new King said, “The death of my beloved mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family.” She has been called the last reigning Christian monarch. In fact, Evangelist Franklin Graham said, “I'm especially grateful for the Queen's friendship with my father Billy Graham. He cherished their friendship that was built on a shared love for Jesus Christ and belief in God's Word." Throughout her 70-year reign, she often mentioned Christianity. In her 1957 Christmas address, Queen Elizabeth quoted the famous Christian allegory, The Pilgrim's Progress, by John Bunyun. QUEEN: “I believe that together, we can set an example to the world, which will encourage upright people everywhere. I would like to read you a few lines from Pilgrim's Progress, because I'm sure we can say, with Mr. Valiant-for-Truth, these words: ‘My marks and scars I carry with me to be a witness for me, but I have fought His battles, who now will be my Rewarder.” In the year 2000, she spoke of a personal accountability before God. QUEEN: “For me, the teachings of Christ and my own personal accountability before God, provide a framework in which I try to lead my life. I, like so many of you, have drawn great comfort in difficult times, from Christ's words and example. ‘Hold fast to that which is good. Render to near man evil for evil, strengthen the faint hearted, support the weak, healthy afflicted on all men.” In 2014, the Queen said that the life of Jesus was an inspiration and an anchor in her life. QUEEN: “Jesus Christ lived obscurely for most of His life, and never traveled far. He was maligned and rejected by many, though He had done no wrong. And yet, billions of people now follow His teaching and find in Him the guiding light for their lives. I am one of them because Christ's example helps me see the value of doing small things with great love.” In April of 2020, Queen Elizabeth affirmed the need to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. QUEEN: “Indeed, we need Easter as much as ever. The discovery of the risen Christ on the first Easter Day gave His followers new hope and fresh purpose, and we can all take heart from this.” Last night, she received her heavenly crown, a crown worth infinitely more than her earthly one. The Bible speaks of five crowns. In 2 Timothy 4:8, Paul says, “Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” 4 dead & 3 wounded in Memphis, Tennessee Mourning and anger enveloped Memphis, Tennessee yesterday as authorities sought the motive for a gunman's daylong, livestreamed shooting spree that left four people dead and three wounded, reports USA Today. Ezekiel Dejuan Kelly, age 19, was captured Wednesday evening having driven around for hours shooting people, and finally participating in a carjacking. Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland expressed outrage that Kelly had been charged with criminal attempted first-degree murder two years ago, but pleaded guilty in April 2021 to the lesser charge of aggravated assault. He was sentenced to three years in prison, but served just over two years. STRICKLAND: “If this man had served his full sentence, he would be in prison this morning, and these four lives would still be with us.” Zambia, Africa celebrates New Testament translation And finally, Christians in Zambia, Africa, are celebrating the latest milestone in Bible translation: the creation of the New Testament in their native tongues. According to CBN News, the effort is led by Wycliffe Associates, an organization that offers Bible translations in countless languages. Currently, over 5,000 people are working in Zambia to translate the Bible into 20 native languages. Bishop Henry Mumba, a pastor and church planter, is assisting church-owned translation work in Munsa. He recalled how he heard his first Bible verse when he was 19 years old. MUMBA: "My pastor was a missionary from another country. And he came into this town and when they preached the Gospel to me, the first verse that I knew was John 3:16. ‘For God so love the world, that He gave His only son that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.'" Listen as this woman quoted a portion for the first time in their hearing. (audio of Zambian translation followed by cheers) Amazingly, it's the first time this language has been written down for any reason. MUMBA: “That Bible is the first written literature. We've never had anything before.” Bishop Mumba explained what it meant. MUMBA: “God is speaking our language!” Of the world's 7,000 languages, fewer than 800 have the Bible fully translated. Consider giving a gift to help fund the sacred work of Wycliffe Translators. Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Friday, September 9th, in the year of our Lord 2022.
