NOTHING IS COOLER THAN THE BLUE COOL OF LOU DONALDSON AND HIS CONGA ERA SOUNDS, AND THE GOSPEL BLUES SOUL OF LOCKJAW IN HIS EARLY YEARS! Both these players fill a wonderful niche in the history of jazz...  Both are somewhat over looked by todays vinyl community. This is a MISTAKE. Both players touch the very soul of this music and embody the sounds of Black America and it's reflections on life in America in the 50s!!!

It's a hard listen for me nowadays and if one is honest ... it can be painful as well! Urania records was a small label that I share some background on as well!
