There are times where we will have the opportunity to be the neighbor someone needs. Sometimes we justify our inactions by using scripture inaccurately, because our neighbors isn't just those who sit in the pews with you. We have been called and given the light, but what good is the light if its only lighting up the house you are in only for those in your house? We are to be the light set on a hill for those around us. Today we take a deeper dive into what it really means to be the good Samaritan. If you would like to follow along please see below: Luke 10:25-35 Deuteronomy 8:11-20 James 1:22-25 We hoped you enjoyed today message and thank you for listening.
God is the the creator of all things, He was here before the earth was formed, He was there when there was nothing but darkness, and He is still here. Gods word is life sustaining, without God we have nothing and without God we are nothing! When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden, we fell along with them, but God had a different planned in place. God gave is Jesus! The Way, The Truth, and The Life! We can find ourselves being The Skeptic, Paralytic, Bystander and Friends that we read about in Mark 2. Theses people are representations of of who we can be at times. Join us as our pastor as he walks us through why we can be each one of these at different times of our lives. Who are you and who will you be today? To navigate this world, we need to be ready at all times, because the evil one is always ready to devise his plans. Keep God and His words close to your heart! There is a daily struggle and a daily battle against sin and they best way and only way to combat it is by keeping Gods word close to your heart. Today we dive into that. If you would like to follow along please see below: Proverbs 6:16-35 Matthew 5:14-17 Acts 2:37-40 We hoped you enjoyed today message and thank you for listening.
Today we dive into what it really mean to be a follower of Jesus Christ not just a fan. Some of us are really into sports, some of us are really into reality TV, and some of us are fan of Harry Potter. Whether it be a team, person or a book, some of us can spew out stats or facts about all these things. Why cant we be the same with Jesus Christ and about the Bible? This is the way, the truth, and the life! The zeal that we use to follower these things of this world we should have the same zeal to follow Jesus Christ! So are we a fan or a follower? If you would like to follow along please see below: John 6:25-71 Luke 9:23-27 Matthew 19:16-26 We hoped you enjoyed today message and thank you for listening.
We need to remind ourselves that salvation is a gift from God. There isn't one particular thing you can do or a checklist you can mark off to receive salvation. God wants you to submit to Him and His Lordship, we can sometimes find ourselves being complacent in the sight of the Lord, but we need to humble ourselves and realize that we still need HIM! God is on control of all things and His desires are for all men to be saved. We must submit and carry out the will of the Lord! If you would like to follow along please see below: Ephesians 2:1-11 1 Timothy 2:1-4 John 6:44; 65 Titus 3:1-7 Romans 10:1-15 John 14:6 Psalm 37; 62 John 3:16-18 We hoped you enjoyed today message and thank you for listening.
Have we forgotten where we can from? Meaning have we forgotten where our hope and salvation comes from? Jesus Christ is the source of this, sometimes we can be so righteous of ourselves that we forget this! The things we strive for and fought tooth and nails to get, once we achieve it. We forget how we got it and where we came from. We can do that same with our walk with Christ. If you would like to follow along please see below: Genesis 3:1-17 1 Corinthians 15:22; 45 John 14:6 Romans 5:6-8; 14-15; 18-21 Romans 6:11 Romans 3:23-24 John 3:16-17 We hoped you enjoyed today message and thank you for listening.
Jesus Christ is where we find repentance from sins, not through us that is not our responsibility. The best of us can find ourselves thinking we have this ability to do so. We need to take a step back sometimes because we can think to highly of ourselves. We need to look inside our own heart and look into the hearts of those we come encounter with. Like Jesus does. We need to refocus our eyes on Jesus Christ and humble ourselves. Have we gotten away from serving Him? Let's take a dive into this topic. We hoped you enjoyed today message and thank you for listening.
We must rise up as Christians and fight back. In California, when they said we couldn't meet for the first couple of months, we complied because we did not know what in the world was going on. Now they are saying we could meet but cannot sing? That is an infringement of our 1st amendment right, we should sing even louder. There are times in the bible where Gods people overcame by singing. So, where do we turn in times like these...? If you would like to follow along please see below: 1 Timothy 2:1-8 2 Chronicles 20:1-30 John 14:6 We hoped you enjoyed today message and thank you for listening.
This world needs Jesus and it is more prevalent now than ever! We are for the right to protest and hear what is going on. There needs to be a change, in this world and also in churches. The world has gotten better but why do we still segregate ourselves, we need to get better. How do we get better? We need to change our perspective. We live in a privilege country where we do not have to fear about being persecuted for our faith. Our service men and women walk out of there door daily knowing there is a chance they will not make it home. We don't have this fear, but what if we treated it like we have a chance of not making it home. Will we take more precaution and preparation before leaving home? Lets take a look at this. We should all be aware of the coronavirus (COVID-19) by now. Our pastor, Jeremy Byers mentions that every trial we come across is a test from God. How are we responding when we are presented a trial? Are we leaning on His word more or are we trying to take care of things by our own power? What does it mean to be battle ready? We picture a warrior putting on his armor, pick up his shield, and picking up his sword. A group of men and women getting their gear prepared, loading up their vehicles, and strategically planing their position. This is what it would look like being battle ready physically, so what does it looks like to be battle ready spiritually. Today's message is just that, we look into being battle ready spiritually.
